Instead of recognizing he has issues and quitting the game. He decides to quit the game because;
1. They made a single strong card accessible to the non-whale players, making it harder for him to steamroll players,
2. A new WWE mobile game was being released, so he can get in on the ground floor and become a top player. (By spending money).
I had an addiction to a game for 4-5 years a while ago, and I used to make the same long, useless forum posts. Because no-one outside of the users of the forums gives a single shit about how addicted I am to a game. It's incredibly sad to see how far back this goes for DSP, I somewhat see myself in him, my addiction was so bad that I almost got kicked out of University due to not attending classes and failing courses.
Thankfully I'm away from all that now, and the only left over symptom is writing paragraphs :')

My wife and I both got addicted to the Sims Social and Simcity Social to the point we both each had a 2nd Facebook account just so we can trade and farm items much faster. Then when FB announced they were shutting down the games after I just spent real money it was only then did I realize we've both fallen into the rabbit hole.

Big up man and well done 👍 I haven't rinsed cash on games but I was addicted and spent too much time playing, not living a balanced lifestyle and neglecting my health, goals and relationships. Now I limit my time playing solo and just enjoy the time I can spare. I also play videogames and board games with friends, which is more social and healthy. I probably enjoy the games more because it's a 'treat' and I'm focused on making the most of it. Know how you feel and glad you got it together before things went too far

I bet Panda found out how much he was spending on mobile games and that led to the problems in their relationship. Imagine finding out your fiancée is wasting the equivalent of the pay you get from your full time job... a job you only took because he told you he was broke.
No doubt. Considering he neglected her on a personal level he probably never bought her anything so to find out he dumbs several thousand on a mobile game would make anybody upset.

Kinda amusing how passionate he was about the mobile games and rasslin, and that's been taken away from him, now he has to deny playing them and deny liking rasslin. WE did this. Bro, his bit on the credit card getting flagged… it’s because he kept buying pack after pack, like someone was trying to spend as much as they could before the company catches it. I’ve never ever had a card flagged unless it was in a completely different place far away from my home, no matter how much stuff I’ve purchased in a row, not a single time. That grocery store bit is just a made up scenario, like most of DSPs stories.
It’s pretty messed up that he made Leanna play that game with him. Because those games are incredibly predatory and designed to hook you. Everything about the gameplay loop is designed to get you to keep playing. So if you have an addictive personality, these games are designed to trigger that part of your brain to become addicted to it. So if Leanna’s brain is wired towards addiction like Phil’s is, being made to play this game could fire up those synapses in her brain and get her hooked.
It’s kind of like if a heroin addict convinces his partner to try heroin with them and now the partner is hooked, too. Because the mechanism in your brain chemistry that causes addiction functions the same regardless of the source of the addiction. So DSP could have very well gotten Leanna or Kat addicted to mobile games with him and ruined their lives. Is Kat’s weight gain caused by a food addiction or an alcohol addiction? Who knows.

WWESupercard takes more time than champions. Champions takes more money. Even if you spend $99.99 on the largest credits pack you still gotta grind the event. Credits buy double point games for events. They also buy packs from the store which are crazy expensive. Thing about supercard is there's a new tier level every month so your cards will be useless and you gotta start over again but with new card designs. I've spent around 5k over the span of 10 years. I quit this year at the start of season 10 because its more pay to win than ever before.
Here is my Theo theory on why the mobile game videos never happened and I think it’s a combination of things: Part of it is that his audience were negative towards it. KGhaleon and Swagneto and their ilk probably have no interest in watching videos about mobile games. Mobile games are mostly trash and his existing fanbase was only interested in traditional video games.
A major part of it is laziness. He’s just lazy. But I think an unexplored part is that he has ADHD which is why he loses focus so easily and has all these weird movement-based ticks and sways constantly. I think all of it is because ADHD. And I also have ADHD and I’m like “I’m going to do this big project,” and I hype myself up about it and then a week later I’m onto the next thing that I’m never going to do. Phil does the same thing. He’ll hype up a project and then move onto the next thing before he even started and I think it’s just because he has ADHD. And I think it’s part of the reason why he got hooked to a game where you mindlessly tap at the screen. It’s like a digital fidget spinner.
I don’t think he could work out how to do direct capture from the iPad 😂

lol I played hearthstone at this time and it was not P2W, at least not at lower than legend rank. I did not spend a dime on the game and played about 10 min every day or 2 to complete quests and could easily get to rank 8 or so. I don't know how it is now but it was actually a really f2p friendly and well made game. Like most things for DSP: skill issue

Today (1/19) during Baldur’s Gate at the 3 hour and 35-minute mark on Raw Phil (I time stamped it in the comments), DSP went on a toxic rant at an NPC dripping with irony because he didn’t believe her. I quote, “None of that is proven. Just cuz you say something doesn’t prove it. She’s done absolutely nothing, zero actions in the story to make you believe a single word she said. It just - just believe me on faith.”
That’s literally what he said about the WWE Champions account. It isn’t his and he knows it, so just believe him on faith even though he has taken no action to prove he’s telling the truth. There’s a mountain of evidence that the account is his. All of these blocks stacking up on top of each other that when combined, point to Phil being DownFromTheRafters. Enough circumstantial evidence combined to get a conviction if it were a criminal case. Enough to convince a judge to sign a search warrant for his phone data at the very least. But DSP says it’s not his, so just believe him on faith.
He’s admitted to lying to protect his family. He lied about having a cat. He lied about having a girlfriend and flying her out. He lied about playing mobile games after moving Kat in and retconned that story so many times so he can claim he always admitted it, which is not true. He lied that he didn’t play WWE Champions anymore, but we saw it open on his phone and he admitted in the interview. So he’s an admitted and proven liar. But I’m supposed to believe that he’s telling the truth now? Solely on faith? Or is this just another case of “lying to protect my family” because it would be real bad for his family if he admitted he had in fact Clum down from the rafters and it is indeed the newest day. Shocked Pikachu face.
