The only negative thing I have to say about any of them, was the short gearing on the XP90. It was so darn noisy on the freeway, and I would often search for a 6th gear that wasn't there.
In that whole video she still didn't explain why she hates her Tesla. Missing a phone holder is just what she said while she was already crying about she hates her Tesla.
She was probably the girl who started crying and throwing a hissy fit after not getting what she wanted as a child and it actually worked. So now she always cries as a defense mechanism when things go south, because it worked when she was a child.
It's obvious. She doesn't have a home charger. Most likely lives in an apartment since she's complaining about cost of charging and how many times she has to stop to charge.
She’s paying around .52-.60 per kilowatt at EV charging station. There is some math that you have to do to get how many kilowatt per hour, but in major metropolitan cities it basically costs as much as gas or more. That’s why she hates it, it cost as much as gas to charge her Tesla but not only that the Tesla consumes more electric than the mileage it takes to go to work. This is because Tesla and many EV rate their miles in ideal situation. If you’re blasting the heat (especially this) or the AC, driving uphill, or the sort … your 20 miles is actually going to be 40 miles consumed. The only way it make sense to get an EV if you’re doing it to save on gas, is to both have your own home and charging at home … AND SOLAR. Otherwise you have the inconvenience of an EV with the same or more price tag of gas. And don’t get me started on the superchargers, which cost even more to charge at and is extremely bad for the batteries.
@@chengvang2126Superchargers don't do anything to the battery. With certain battery types you are either recommended to charge to 80% or 100% every now and then to preserve the battery. Superchargers (from the research I did) cost fluctuate depending on the time of day can be 2x cheaper than gas or just as expensive. Yes having a home charger SIGNIFICANTLY improves an EV. Just to clear up some information.

She makes so many “valid points”. She’s really outdone herself in explaining why she hates Teslas. I’m sure her rant was helpful to everyone interested in Teslas. 🤦🏻♀️
I love my Tesla. My daily commute is 64 miles one way. I charge it at home, drive to work and errands after work, and I have battery power to spare. We did our research before buying and what we were spending on gas is what our car payment is. It makes sense for us. If you cannot do basic math, you might not buy the right car regardless of the brand.
It's almost like there's a lesson in there about the value of money and how you need value it so you don't spend so much of it on an impulse buy that you didn't research properly. I learned that lesson when I was 7 and I blew my allowance on a stupid toy that I ended up hating within the hour. I cried too, but thankfully my parents didn't cave and instead firmly reinforced the lesson so now I can manage my money and do research before big, potentially ruinous purchases. And no, TikTok is NOT research. It's not even a viable source of any kind of information.
my parents pretty much instead off buying toys for me they gave me money to do it myself. That way I learned not only that you cant always get everything you want. But also to make sure you really want what you buy. Because just like you if I bought a toy I hated my parents didnt gave me new money they just said: You bought that one you have to play with that one if you want to or not to. It really learned me very quickly to make sure that what I bought is something I really wanted.

Having a model Y the first thing I did when we bought our house in PA is to have 2 NEMA 14-50 outlets installed during construction in the garage. Best 1200$ spent. Level 2 charging. Have a 80% daily limit on it and fully charging it over night is the best way to do it. Plus superchargers cost way more to use. Yes it’s convenient to have them all over the USA when traveling but it does come at a cost. Don’t buy a EV unless you have access to a garage or car port that can handle a Level 2 charging system.
There is an ownership case for an EV. Firstly, you have to be able to afford the massive depreciation, 50-60%. You have to have a commute roundtrip of around 50% of its advertised maximum range. You have to have a suitable safe place to charge it detached from your house such as a driveway. You must live in an area free from, or not prone to very cold or hot weather. There are car uses you accept you won't do or can't do. For example: Interstate Road trips, go bush, heavy tow.
@@WarwickAvgur Public chargers are expensive and unreliable, class actions abound concerning range and depreciation is going to continue as prices continue to fall. You must home charge to be viable.
@trevorgale1176 , superchargers are 99.9% reliable, why would prices fall much from here? You can get a new tesla for 35-40k, that's the average new car price rn Edit: Also, any street lamp can be converted to a charger, just contact local utility company
@@WarwickAvgur NOPE, I'm in Australia a basic Model 3 is $60,000, and the public charging system is sparse, and unreliable. I knew there was a reason I like you. I still own my 2005 Toyota Prius with half a million miles on the clock. One of my favourite cars to drive. The steering is like... Perfect. Last week it started to make a strange sound on start up and burning a bit of oil. Took it to my mechanic, cleaned the fuel injectors, now it is purring again. And when I rebate the back seats... It is a light camper van. I love that car. They build them to last and to be really good. The Prius mileage is amazing and by new Corolla hybrid is more powerful but, doesn't gave the battery bank of the Prius (been looking at how to replace Toyota 90wh/L cells with modern 200wh/L cells) and I can't sleep on it on an air mattress with my partner.

I had the same problem. Kinda. Last October I bought a F250 transit cargo van. Mid length and height. We finally got our first snow. Yet. There was, was, was, a major problem with my new van. I couldn't get the snow off of the top of the van. I got it figured out. It snows. I need the snow off. All I have to do is drive baby drive. The snow just flys off the top of the van. Problem solved. Sorry. Was I supposed to cry over it.😆😅🤣😂
Love my tesla, but its range estimates are over estimated. I consistently get 80% of the estimated range (I dont drive too fast, 72-74 max on freeway. Slower than most of traffic). But, It costs me about 8 bucks to fully charge it at home, and it drives places for me. Just yesterday, had to drive 100 miles to pick up my wife. Round trip, left at 80% charge on model Y, and had to charge for 5 min on way home to arrive home with 18%. Not great, but considering I manually drove maybe 3 miles of that trip, well worth the trade off. Aside from long trips, I never have to care about my car’s range because I charge to 80% at home almost every night. It’s fantastic.Im also lucky enough to have great electric rates, so for the past 1500-2000 miles Ive driven, its cost me $74 dollars, in CA where gas is regularly $5 a gallon or more. That would take a car that gets 100mpg to equal out the cost, and no car other than tesla, at least that I know of, will drive me to my location without me needing to do anything really.
the problem is not in tesla, but in the owner, who did not check the data before the purchase, so the car cannot be blamed for it. I like Tesla cars, even though I'm a fan of muscle cars, but the older I get, I just want to protect my money and especially the range, I don't need the smell of the engine and its voice so much anymore
We just traded our 2020 jeep for a 2024 honda Accord. And my husband researched it before we got it. It's a hybrid, so we don't have to charge it. We love it.
Tips on owning an EV. Check your commute distance to and from work. Personally, i can use the tesla mobile charger that plug in to a normal power outlet. It charges at 12 amps. It is slow but my work is 15 miles away, if i plug in after work, it is enough to charge it back to full by next morning. There is a mall near my work that offers free charging sponsored by shell company. If im lucky i can charge for free while i work. If you live in apartment, superchargers have cheaper charge rate after 11pm. You need to do research if you own ev. If you don't know how to charge it then ev is not for you yet. You need to wait until ev develops more and they have fast charging at all gas stations. For now it is for the more resourceful people
She says she doesn’t even have a place to put her phone… There are x2 phone holder locations built into the vehicle-with effortless wireless charging, located directly under the screen. What about using the large bin in the center console, or the cup holders? Or maybe use one of the multitude of phone mounts available? If she has to go “out of her way” to charge, she probably still pays way less for electricity than fuel. And maybe she could be absorbed looking at TicTok to pass time whilst charging.

I had an MG ZS EV. It was quite nice for driving around in my province, on a full battery also in the next province. As long as I could get back on the same charge, it was a really nice car! Charge it with my solar panels and everything was great!
But charging it somewhere else? That was SLOOOOOOOOW!!!!!
A Tesla charges much faster though and it has a bigger battery than my MG had. If this lady could charge at home, she wouldn't be doing this Amber Heard act.
However, I am very happy that I am driving on dino juice again; just pump fuel in a minute or so and I can drive for a full week again!

Yes, and one that can go over 300k miles with minimal maintenance and is easy to work on if necessary with inexpensive parts. I'll take a $4k old Toyota any day over a $40k Tesla, the 36k in savings will be invested and grow to $93k over 10 years of compounding at 10%. Recently I've learned that alot of luxury and high end vehicles are all shine and no substance. Hard to beat a good Toyota
The only thing that beats a Toyota is delusions of luxury, and the best brand for doing that is Lexus (which is made by Toyota).
Most modern cars are built for appearance only and have Factory built-in defects, because car manufacturers figured out they can make more money selling Parts and Services than ehole cars.

@limeddasch382 you talking about my wife😅
New Variant of Delulu discovered: "Self-Inflicted Delulu"

No, they'll find you crying at the fuel pump, holding your empty wallet.
Depreciation is already over, ranges are fair, and tons of superchargers everywhere
@@WarwickAvgur Public chargers are expensive and unreliable, class actions abound concerning range and depreciation is going to continue as prices continue to fall. You must home charge to be viable.
@trevorgale1176 , superchargers are 99.9% reliable, why would prices fall much from here? You can get a new tesla for 35-40k, that's the average new car price rn

@@WarwickAvgur NOPE, I'm in Australia a basic Model 3 is $60,000, and the public charging system is sparse, and unreliable.
