There a morale there somewhere - only Cleary and Teddy are in top teams. Maybe its better for the poor performing clubs to save their money on players and get a good coach.

The fact that NFL rookies earn way more than all of these guys is crazy 👀
It is a different world the NFL is the highest grossing sports league in the world so they can pay the players more but this is still good money to play a game you love.
Also shows you the level of competition there.
The more you pay, the more people want to play, the higher the level. Just look at a draft day for the NFL.
But I love the nrl and I don’t think the players get paid enough for what their bodies get out through
@@whatsfordinner1695 exactly, these guys deserve way more money for what they're doing here, hopefully it improves in the future though, not just star players, every rugby players of both codes.
moses jr unless we grow the game more internationally, it’s not going to happen. How much players can get paid comes down to viewership. Plus there’s just too many fk ups at the management level at most clubs. Look at all the coaches that got sacked mid way through their contract this year in the NRL. So many millions wasted on payouts...

Matt easy to say for a lot of players but unfortunately stats don’t lie and when you have a forward that plays 80 minutes and very game tackles constantly takes runs all every set and has better post contact meters and meters per game in general then fullbacks centres and wingers then you have to admit he is a great player

Eh? Roger has been decent at best for Warriors. Meanwhile Roosters have won back to back Premierships with Tedesco being touted as the best player in the world at times.

@Tim not at all. Tedesco's performance against Melbourne is why he's not worth $1million. I'm not a fan of Cleary personally but can see the worth on and off the field.if I was running an NRL side only the very best players would get anymore than $500,000. Depth is better than one great player. Gold coast and Melbourne keep proving this.... tedesco like latrel Mitchell would be better on a performance contract.
