hello Stuart , how did you get on with damp situation after works , planning to do similar job in kitchen with plastic membrane did you manage to gyproc after or plaster , also can you join membrane vertically as my height needs to be 1800cm thanks
@nasir_glasgow5274 I haven't had any problems with dampness showing since doing the job .. Yes you can do the whole wall with it if needed, just overlap it a couple of inches behind the bottom plastic and use wall plugs to secure them both. You can silicone the gap between them as well if you want added protection
@stuartdodds.property hello Stuart Thanks for reply . Is it any particular silicone as I looked on web and company selling product (safeguard/dryzone) sell expensive over lap tape Forgot to ask earlier did yiu also use salt inhibitor paste to brick just been reading up on different methods and looking to start job in few weeks Thanks again
@nasir_glasgow5274 I just use Wickes tribrid silicone which seemed to do the job fine. I was on a tight budget for this renovation. But yes you can use the sealant that they recommend also but it is more expensive

Is it just me or have you put the membrane on backwards?
