The song is a big reference to a tradition we have in Iran during new year. A tradition which out of context may appear extremely racist. People doing blackface, dancing and playing music whilst begging master for money. Sounds extremely racist, but here's the historical context: Persian new year is rooted in Zoroastrianism. In Zoroastrianism, we have fire temples. People who did maintenance (especially right before new year) would get smok on their faces turning them black, kinda like coal miners. The same people would then go to streets and inform people about new year, whilst singing and dancing, so they were also a type of jester. like any other worker from around that time (~1000bc) and even much later, they had masters. Not exactly slaves, as in slaves we know from 18th century.
