"Arianna a Naxos" by Joseph Haydn

Camerata Aurea performs the very piece that got Joseph Haydn famous in England. Highly dramatic, it was originally written for Mezzo-soprano and keyboard. I made an arrangement for string quintet, which helps with the drama.
Camerata Aurea is Anna Manske - mezzo-soprano, Lucia Hall and Kinga Vass - violin, Marta Potulska - viola, Tristan Schulze -violoncello and composition and Anna Mittermeier - double-bass. The English translation is by Kathryn Whitney. I found it on the great page lieder.net run by Emily Ezust. Thanks a lot for letting us use it.
