Both beautiful lathes, I'd keep the Boxford myself as I see it as a proper lathe rather than a hobby machine. Personal choice though. Best wishes, Dean in Oxfordshire.
Hi Dean, thanks for the comment, you’re probably right but I just can’t part with the Myford. I’ve fitted the 3 phase motor with the Inverter and the refurbished clutch I rebuilt a few months ago (check it out on RUclips) and it’s now in almost perfect condition running quiet and smooth. @@500dbd34 The Myford is a lovely machine and if it does what you need it to then you've made the right decision. I have a Maximat V10P which again was designed for the hobby market. It does the job but I've always fancied something a bit more substantial, like a Colchester Student. Best wishes, Dean.
