GGG lets add 100+ bosses just in campaign for free Blizzard D4: we dunno what we can do but here have a 70EU xpac with a few hour of content with a few bosses
No need to be dishonest, you can flame D4 for a lot of stuff but this ain't it. D4 expansion is 40 eur and they are bringing in some new stuff like 3hr raids, and the story content in base D4 has been very good.
Itemization is why d2 was dope. Gear(windforce) chase, set chase. Mf chase. Pvp gear. . Rune chase. Currency chase(soj). And all the builds worked. Just not as well or fast as others. But they worked
The one type support gem is good, cause you can six link every skill, there's gotta be some give or take so making your MAIN SKILL is a choice and not just, "well I have everything". You're playing a Lightning Arrow build, not a every projectile skill in the game build. Edit: Johnathon literally said this secs later as I continued the video, maybe I shouldn't be a Quin and watch the fucking video first, classic.

Idk if you look at the comments too much, but I wanted to give my opinion on minute 41 of this video. I think what they've decided to do with the gold being used to buy items in vendors does not actually contradict their previous statement of it essentially being an Acts resource. I mean how often are endgame items going to come out of vendors in PoE 1? It just gives you some extra flexibility before you have those endgame atlas items locked in, at least in my estimation
Lotta complainers in comments holy cow. I appreciate Quinns take and its something for me to listen to at work. I like his take on loot filter. No friends i inyroduce to POE like having to then download a fkinthird party sht to even play. No need to be a eing hater.

Be a giant waste of time to move it over, if it's already functionally superior. Takes me less than a minute to go get another filter right now. Anyone that refuses to spend 30 seconds doing so was never gonna play poe for more than the campaign anyway.
i would have put flasks on only one archetype like pathfinder or alchemist and put something completely different for each class to make the playstyles more unique.

I'm curious to see how the game will look like in mid-late game. From the footage that we've seen so far it looks kind of ... sluggish and annoying af to play? Having to use multiple skills/buffs and pressing multiple buttons is something I avoid like fire in PoE1 and it seems the norm to constantly rotate 3-4 skills even just running through a map. The one where they create like a fissure on the ground and then leap slam on top to reignite it looks like the most annoying thing ever. Looks cool in a trailer but imagine having to line it up hundreds of times per playing session. Absolute nightmare. About flasks, early in the video they said something about "you shouldn't run out of flasks during regular gameplay" and then proceed to show footage of players constantly pianoing their 3 life flasks and 2 mana flasks to even stay alive against trash mobs. My goal for every build is to not run life/mana flask and automating them, forcing me to use resource flasks on top of having to use obnoxious combos to deal any damage does not fill me with optimism. Having to rely on mana flasks to stay in the fight will always feel awful. I guess we'll have to see what they're cooking but all the gameplay footage I've seen from PoE2 looks very annoying compared to PoE1. I just hope it will be possible to "solve" life/mana regen through tree/gems/whatever even if that means sacrificing some damage. Honestly I'd be fine doing 50%-70% less damage to never have to use a life or mana flask.
It's a sequel but you should really just hop into it as a fresh game. Not really a good comparison and might be frowned upon, but: Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3, although similar in mechanics, worked very differently between each other in terms of smoothness. If you went into DS2 like you would play DS1 or DS3, you're in for a hellish of a ride. Same as hopping into DS3 like you would play DS2. My best shot at this concern is: feel the mechanics like you would on a league start, or pretend it's your first time in a league. Genuinely feel it first, you can always maximize your effectiveness later, especially on the upcoming early access when there probably won't be challenge rewards or neat self-imposed challenges other than reaching early endgame. Those worries are things that'll only affect those who want to finish everything in less than one day's worth of playtime if it turns out to be a genuine problem. And if it isn't your cup of tea, luckily the devs already planned this out and PoE1 is there to satisfy your needs. As for me though, I'm sure as hell I'll be game hopping to grab as many challenge rewards as I can.
Ew. Just cuz you want to press 1 button to play an entire complex game like poe does NOT mean that's fucking normal. I love the changes they're making where more skills and abilities work well together and combo interesting interactions. I don't fucking want "spam 1 button and win" if that's what you fucking want, go play cookie clicker you bot. Besides, this is the game they're making. Deal, or play something else.
Poe2 will be what blizzard North would have envisioned the next instalment of d2. Good on GGG for sticking to their guns and taking these risks. That’s what it takes to create a game that stands the test of time.
If it's anything like mindless "shipping" I will hate poe2! I've alread quit this season & I'm having a break! The mechanics are waaaayyyy worse than Necropolis! I don't know why all the simps think this season is good? It's just old mechanics mashed together with a mobile game mechanic 🙄
I agree though, 5 flasks is something really annoying and somehow feel so unnecessary, in PoE 1 they only justify those flask by having the 'piano' pattern, you just justify them by spamming buffs or to avoid having certain stats innately. The flasks could benefit so much from being more impactul and less annoying to use, rather than having 5 and then balacing a lot of random things to justify it. At the end of the day it's just annoying to keep using so many flasks, when you already a lot of skills to keep track and use at all times, let alone they all recharge at once, makes no sense and it's an outdated design that people often forget to be critical about.
i think its fine in poe1, but if i use wasd movement then yeah that might be too many buttons for me lol. they should add more accessible or better flask automation in poe 2
@@he5078 I'd settle for 3 flasks to be honest, It'd be cool to make actual sacrifices, whether you want more resources to spend, or more life to survive, or maybe an extra buff if you're feeling comfortable, I just like more impactful choices, with 5 flasks it never feels like you choose anything, you just pick obvious min-maxes, and on top of that, automation for flasks is just a gimmick, a band-aid for the current design, also I hope mana flasks are more important in PoE2, resources in general should be a big investment to consider having in your build, with the addition of spirit I hope that's the case
@@gsczo in some mmorpg designs you use wasd + 15-20 abilities and different consumables, so following this example, GGG most likely will not limit their design

Holy shit, his take about flasks was so bad. There's no evidence yet that there will be "flask piano" in PoE 2 and flasks in the game already pretty much work like Estus Flasks in Elden Ring, because you can bind a single key to all your life flasks so they are used in sequence, so that's pretty much the equivalent of having 9 charges of Estus flasks in Elden Ring. That leaves one utility and one (or zero) mana flask left to be bound to a key, which is pretty much within Quin's acceptable threshold for the number of flasks that a player need to press.
@@bsmkdd8049 Well if they want people to engage with this type of content early on in the acts then it should drop more than 2 rares for a 4-5 minute fight. Otherwise people will do this the first time they play the campaign and then skip it afterwards. It would be fine if it dropped like 5-10 rares or 1 unique and a few rares or a few currency items, but the time vs. reward just doesn't seem right. You might just get 2 rare bows while playing melee in which case the only thing you get is a bit of gold from vendoring the rares, I'd imagine especially new players will be like "What I spent 5 minutes on this boss and I got nothing". With 5+ rares chances are a lot higher that you atleast get 1 useful item. I'm comparing it to PoE 1, since it would never be worth it to kill anything that takes 4+ minutes for 2 rare items. Edit: Or tune the boss to have less health so the fight doesn't take forever in which case less loot is fine.

Flask allows to be flexible with your build and are semi passive as intended! You can easly 2x your armor and fix your res with it, specially helpful in the begging. flasks are lame, why do I need them just to solve problems that they've created in the game like ailments, curses and bleeds. Imo they should just remove immunity to these things across the board and only give specific monsters and bosses the ability to inflict them. Something so impactful should be telegraphed and avoidable. I want to be able to dodge a freeze with skill instead of being immune to it as long as i press my flask every 10 seconds
Pausing every Minute to add his shit takes just kills me thats why i stopped watching Quin since the first 3 hours of his stream is react andy with horrible takes no other human on earth has
everything in D4 bad except the combat rotation, everything in poe2 good except the combat rotation. Need myself a visual coding game engine thats compatible with my mental hardware to make my own damn ARPG.
Honestly, this is what I feel so much. Like literally I love pretty much all of the parts of Poe customisation and activity’s to do but the combat is bad. Meanwhile Diablo four has kind of ok combat but all of its systems are bland and boring. So excited for poe2 to finally get both right!
As much as I like the slower gameplay and I am a Ruthless enjoyer, I think PoE 2 is going to suck big time. It feels to me like they are forgetting what makes their game special and they will turn it into a turd like D4 and LE.
flasks, inventory limited space (not stash, but on the player), scrolls of wisdom, the two orbs UI, all that is so outdated. They need to be bold and let go of those ancient things EDIT: Oh, and having to replay the campaign each time and not being able to power level to paly multiple characters on a single league
Well you havent been paying attention because they have said for years they like all those things you dislike. And they have plenty of good reasons for it.
for Flasks what they should do is have them limited usage, like 1, 2, or 3 uses once they are used they poof, this would make flask usage feel important and add weight to them yes you will hve to pick up more, roll more, but makes them feel more important

I don't fucking want "spam 1 button and win" if that's what you fucking want, go play cookie clicker you bot. Besides, this is the game they're making. Deal, or play something else.
glad quin is not a game designer
Lol agreed.
Why does Quin want games to be more souls-like when he's really bad at them? 🤔
D4 BAd
@@The_Crucifix bad example, mmos can have 100 shortcuts, yet they play differently, and are balanced differently, I know from a lot of experience, mmos is not news to me
@@gsczo for me too, and from the gameplay point of view, GGG make something combat combo-system in Poe 2, with rotation and without burst system (like in poe 1 where you use 1 main skill and 5 burst skills)
Flasks in Poe sucks.
here we go, worst way to watch a video
remove flasks from the game for the love of god!
The ui is stale, definitely need a redesign.
Agreed. And will be the main point i push to devs during early access
Jonathan is still um, almost impossible to um, ah, listen to.

Thank you. This is one of the first signs of intelligent life I have found in this comment section
can we talk about how we saw over 4 minutes of a ritual boss fight and it dropped 2 rares and 9 gold
Should it drop 35 uniques in act 1? What baseline are you even comparing it to?
It could be that droprates are lowered in these presentations to not fill the screen with item labels. Or for gameplay reasons.
Edit: Or tune the boss to have less health so the fight doesn't take forever in which case less loot is fine.
expect this to be the new norm, but the new game will function with minimal loot, unlike poe. It's a different game with different rules, not ruthless
What is the point of uploading 8 hours of Wukong footage then not uploading the rest? Just upload the VOD without the just chatting ffs.

this is a poe video sir…
Because the game isn’t as good as everyone’s making it out to be. It’s a good game but it’s just that. Nothing special about it just a good/decent game
@@thatsoulsguy3028 wow dude you are so cool and prophetic you truly know what is going on inside of the mind of quin and his editors and are definitely NOT projecting your own feelings onto others. That and I bet you didn't even play the game 😂
thanks for linking the original in the description, ill go save 30 mins by watching that one instead
Very weird comment if you didn't wanted to see his reaction why did you clicked on this video? It's not like original video is hard to find.
@@erth8096 actually weird, what's the point of a reaction video without the reaction part? just a reupload? LOL, I do believe most people watched the original video already anyway

flasks are garbage
Clown of Twitch Tv 🤣
Devs: We've used Quins logic and reduced the flasks from 5 to 1. We've also reduced the weapon choices from 50 to 1. Enjoy. D4 brain bad.
He's not wrong tho, keeping up 5 flasks is just annoying - I'm not saying that having 1 or even 3 flasks would solve everything, but Path of Exile's flask system is one of the most annoying things about the game. What changes would you suggest?
I dont like this guy he seems to complain just to complain.
Flask allows to be flexible with your build and are semi passive as intended! You can easly 2x your armor and fix your res with it, specially helpful in the begging. Automating them is even better and it allows for even more complex mechanic and can bring a huge boost . They are perfect as they are and need to stay like that ! This guy has no fking clue about what he says and he is extremely subjective and des not thingk about the mechanic but only about what he likes. No idea wtf i get recommended this channel!
i hope they are not giving us patchnotes, game will be solved in few days
Unlike PoE 1, you sue more than one skill and most bosses require active dodging. So don’t think looking at patch notes somehow “solves” the game
Why would anyone watch a 10 minute video that Quin has turned into an hour?
I enjoy listening to Quin's takes
Bro said minimal pausing and I took him seriously 😂
@@Bretson1O I also enjoy smashing my face into a wall and expecting to have an epiphany.
Why waste time commenting when you can just not watch?
Where do you get 10 minutes from? Original video is 34 minutes. You're obviously just here to hate, sad person.
flasks are lame, why do I need them just to solve problems that they've created in the game like ailments, curses and bleeds. Imo they should just remove immunity to these things across the board and only give specific monsters and bosses the ability to inflict them. Something so impactful should be telegraphed and avoidable. I want to be able to dodge a freeze with skill instead of being immune to it as long as i press my flask every 10 seconds
stop the video and talk about something else for 5min. classic
slow ass game man
Lol stick to poe 1... You'll be happier... Ijs 🤷
Cry more
Pausing every Minute to add his shit takes just kills me thats why i stopped watching Quin since the first 3 hours of his stream is react andy with horrible takes no other human on earth has
Not talking about late game feels sus tbh.
probability that poe 2 doesnt suck 100% as much as poe 1.
0% chance
1/10 ragebait, you can do better.
World of Warcraft
everything in D4 bad except the combat rotation, everything in poe2 good except the combat rotation.
37:31
As much as I like the slower gameplay and I am a Ruthless enjoyer, I think PoE 2 is going to suck big time. It feels to me like they are forgetting what makes their game special and they will turn it into a turd like D4 and LE.
Well don't okay it and stick to poe1.... 🤷
flasks, inventory limited space (not stash, but on the player), scrolls of wisdom, the two orbs UI, all that is so outdated. They need to be bold and let go of those ancient things
EDIT: Oh, and having to replay the campaign each time and not being able to power level to paly multiple characters on a single league
Well you havent been paying attention because they have said for years they like all those things you dislike. And they have plenty of good reasons for it.
two orbs UI is outdated? Its genius and vibe as fuck, which is obvious, literally no reason to touch it. Pull your head out of your ass
for Flasks what they should do is have them limited usage, like 1, 2, or 3 uses once they are used they poof, this would make flask usage feel important and add weight to them yes you will hve to pick up more, roll more, but makes them feel more important
That's a horrible idea and I pray GGG doesn't listen to the people saying this stuff
This is shit
Iding items ....... get a courage and remove indefication from items exept uniqs for god sake . I am not exited to Id an magic item i just sometimes FORCED to do that .Who t f enjoys Id an item
