Agh, I watched the whole show again and the speech with Anton’s voice made me burst into tears. It was such a sudden, tragic death. I only hope it was fast so that he didn’t suffer too much. RIP mate 💙

The fact that claire was only interested in jim after he got the amulet is a black mark on the jim x claire ship. He is extraordinary *before* all the magic and trollhunter things happened
but she still loved him after he became human and he had no amulet.
Ultimate Cat makes a very valid point, and I also want to point out that Claire was already friendly with Jim even pre-Amulet (the rehearsal invitation, study sesh, etc.), It's just that becoming Trollhunter gave Jim the confidence to be able to approach Claire
Where are people even getting the idea that Claire starting liking Jim only when it was revealed he was the trollhunter? Did no one pay mind to her very obviously taking interest *after his performance at the play rehearsal?* THAT'S when she started becoming interested in him, which was obviously long before she even knew about the whole trollhunting thing.

Ah. What? No you are dead WRONG. You are just being a hipster trying to have a different opinion to everyone else. That was not at all a black mark in their ship, this is exactly how many loving relationships would have started. Also, it wasn't the amulet that made her feel close to her, it a lot of other things including his their shared interest in Shakespeare and his kind and fun nature, something which she pointed out was missing in him when he had that totem in Episode 10 that made him unlikable for an entire episode.

Idk I feel like the show got real dark when he turned into the troll
Even before he turned into a troll. When he put the elixir in the bathtub and his friends + family were banging at the door, it gave certain vibes… It was all so dark. Added to it is that a part of him technically “died” when he lost his human form and was transformed into a troll.
Nah the Show since episode 1 was dark as hell

Even though this is a year old i still feel compelled to comment. I like Emile Hirsch, but before Jim becomes a troll he literally had no emotion in his voice. After he became a troll, it did seem better though.
Also, i wanted to add, if his voice change was ever canon in the show, i always thought it would be when Jim tries that powder the Changelings use. Strickler himself said it could have permanent changes, and when Blinky sees Jim while hes using the powder, he mentions that his voice sounds different. Idk, just my headcanon.
