Thank you for your video. I found it really interesting, especially because I also switched from a CBR (250) to the FZ6. My FZ6 is from 2007, and I feel like our impressions are quite similar. One thing that bothers me a bit is the idle on the throttle cable. I feel like I always experience a strong jerk when shifting up and down, and I'm not sure if it's related to the throttle cable. Otherwise, I find the FZ6 to be a very beautiful motorcycle, not only visually, but also to ride. I also feel that the handling in curves is quite good. However, I'm not entirely sure about the engine's running culture. I somehow feel tempted to ride fast, rather than leisurely cruising, which I would actually prefer. So, I'm always tempted to push the engine, which of course is on me and not the motorcycle. I'm not entirely sure if maybe I wouldn't be better off with a touring motorcycle or an adventure bike, rather than this great engine, which is actually too powerful for me.
You're welcome! And thanks for the comment! I completly agree with everything you've said here. The gear changes are defiently less forgiving than the cbr, maybe because of the lack of slipper clutch. I think the bike is nice to ride at a reasonable pace but it certainly does urge you on to go faster since all the power is at high revs. Thanks again - Finn
I love this bike but I'm thinking of selling mine. Getting parts for this bike is a god damn nightmare. Almost everything has to be special ordered from the manufacturer. I tried buying some hoses for the cooling system and no place had anything in stock. It was like a 2 month wait to get from the manufacturer.
Get wide bars and risers unreal bike and I also own a BMW s1000r and Honda Hornet the FZ6 is the best investment I have ever made my everyday go to bike much fun. I also put S1000r side fairings and front mudguard one tooth smaller front sprocket and 4 degree timing wheel on it as well as r6 throttle what a blast.

Just hearing that makes me want to sell mine I haven't had any problems where I have to find parts but I don't even want the problem

I bought the same bike a few weeks backs. for a 20 year old bike its beautiful and is a good allrounder.
It's definelty got some nice modern styling considering it's age! Enjoy man! In sure we will get along with this bike just fine!
That looked like fun. Nice bike.
Cheers Al! Was a great first ride despite the slight tyre issue
Good choice of bike, you'll soon get used to the performance & characteristics of the 4 cylinders
Thanks, no regrets yet 😅 still very manageable at slow speed and winds up nicely if I want it too :)
The CBR is a shitbox compared to that
