Only thing I could say to improve would be to install a quick release plug so you can easily unplug the sub at any time when you need space in the boot
I had the same one it basically already has it cos all the wires are in one harness with just one connector to the amp. When u wanna take it out just unplug it from the amp and its done same way to put it back in
Installed an 8 inch subwoofer as well about a year ago, blaupunkt, when I tried it out after connecting it on full volume the neighbour's car went off xD did not expect so much bass out of such a small subwoofer, I have bass turned down so I literally don't make my ears explode xD Great mod, love it as well how it takes almost no space in boot
Wired mine to the stereo as it gives clearer bass and would recommend that also a switch / bass controller is always handy when you want to have the subwoofer on low / off
I had this fitted few months back its decent for what it is bass is punchy it's good for those wanting to save space in the boot personally I prefer the 12 inch subs as they are more thunderous
I have this same sub sounds awesome for a tiny 8 inch but why didn't u run a separate rca cable and plug direct to the headunit would sound alot better
Fantastic job Michael again! All done with your fantastic humour and sensational personality. Hi to Chloe and Rosie and I love your videos mate. Have a great weekend 🌞🌞🌞
looks good. i remember the days of sound systems being the first upgrade anyone did. will say though, unless you have changed the standard speakers the stereo system has a lot of bass anyways. i assume my 2012 has standard speakers, but whatever is installed gives of enough bass you might think it has a sub of some kind already and in my case i havent tampered with them.
Same here. I have a 2015 seat ibiza. And honestly the bass from the standard speakers is actually quite impressive. The only reason that I am fitting a sub is because the songs I listen too are very bass intensive. And sometimes the speakers can clip and its quite annoying. So taking the load off the main speakers with a sub seems like a no brainer to be fair.
I have same unit mounted on golf 5 hatchback /2 doors The bass is sick ,I also connected to my left and right rear speakers , the only thing now is that my front speakers are much louder as rear speakers I have a mp5 player which allows me to select surround ,so when I select rear speakers are much quieter as front ones. But nice installation ,and good video 👍
Got a 12 inch gz in mine 😬 no space left in the trunk with the hatch vibrating bad. Loving it with all my heart though, absolutely worth the money spent!
Ok job but RCA cables should run the opposite side to power cables and why the fuse box it’s best to go to the electrical Ariel wire on the head unit and it doesn’t need be fused they way have wired your amp it will develop problems with it being wired to the fuse box and may cause the sub to pulse when the audio unit it not turned on but the ignition on just saying
Hey I have a question. This cables signals must be from rear speakers? I have buy alpine yesterday and if I get good weather I want to install. Very very good video 👍
As working in vw I can confirm you are correct mate vw trims are a pain in the arse to fit aha, Litterally cud be sat there for hours tryna fit it but props to you buddy for fitting it bro belta video
Awesome vid, looking at getting a sub myself for the Rocco. Thank you for the pointers, was looking at a "flat" powered pioneer, small enough to save boot space but now tempted for the alpine. Saw you add some kind of sound proofing ??? To the rear seats? Do you have the name of the stuff ?? Never thought about adding sound proofing to the motor, well thought off. Fantastic channel subscribed, keep them coming, great talent and great vids. All the best.
I’m thinking the same question. I think I’m gonna upgrade speakers first with some Blam 165rc then add subwoofer at the end. Car already has an underseat sub but it’s pretty rubbish. Good luck with yours
you should tune in on your own liking, and i recommend not having it on just the ignition because it drains the battery like crazy even being on idle for too long can drain the battery
Not an expert in the slightest But I put a fuse on the main power wire As an Extra protection Just so it cuts off the power from the battery To the Amplifier and sub In certain situations
Well done fitting the sub in ur ride.but the rca cables need to be fitted to the rear of ur headunit.u have only fitted the sub to the left channel of ur speakers(what about the right side).so ur missing the full sound of the stereo.just saying bro.
Years ago I had a 12" sub in the boot of my Citroen ax gt first song I played Casper where's my money proper tune lol blew my rear window out glass absolutely everywhere 🤣
Question , I’m looking at getting a 2.0 tsi scirocco gt 2010 petrol , good idea or no ? As the diesels are better but more expensive , also would you recommend manual or auto ? The one I’m looking at has had 1 owner , 80k , £7,000
Depends what kind of journeys you’re doing. If you’re drive in the city/town more often, petrol is better. If you cover a lot of miles especially on the motorway, diesel is better economy. The choice between manual or auto is more down to your budget and preference. I prefer auto in saloon cars and manual in hatchbacks
Why’s the diesel better? 7k seems a lot for a 12 year old 80k mile hatch but that’s what prices are like these days. It’s probably good if it’s got fully history and been looked after
look at the vibe powerbox micro mono amp 1 x 400W taps straight to the fuse box for power it's small but powerful I got this and paired it with a vibe audio slick 12 inch sub my stereo vol goes to 67 but I only need it at 10-12 and it shakes
i enjoy watching your videos, all the installs and all are fun to see, not that id try it myself, but its good to see the struggle of what i would have needed to accomplish it :) keep it up
Hey bro how’s your mother and her health you said she wasn’t well is she getting better? 🤲
Only thing I could say to improve would be to install a quick release plug so you can easily unplug the sub at any time when you need space in the boot
I had the same one it basically already has it cos all the wires are in one harness with just one connector to the amp. When u wanna take it out just unplug it from the amp and its done same way to put it back in
Was thinking about saying this, best thing I done to mine, mines a big 10” ina corsa..
I literally had one fitted last week best thing I have done so far
Wub
Can u only get the signal through the rear/front speakers or is there wires to get it straight from the radio with RCA connection
Installed an 8 inch subwoofer as well about a year ago, blaupunkt, when I tried it out after connecting it on full volume the neighbour's car went off xD did not expect so much bass out of such a small subwoofer, I have bass turned down so I literally don't make my ears explode xD

Wired mine to the stereo as it gives clearer bass and would recommend that also a switch / bass controller is always handy when you want to have the subwoofer on low / off
Did you run rca
Cables from the head unit? And will it auto switch on when you play music or did run the ignition wire?
For the price thats a really good sub to be honest I'm really impressed well alpine are usesally good, you did a good job mate.
Ngl you could make a video just walking around the car and I’d still watch it 😂
Aiming to get myself one soon.
100%
I wondering at what point is he going to get the stereo out and then I seen him tap into the speakers....end up with muffled noise that way
Vw cars dnt have spare rca cables
This takes me back. My first car a Ford Fiesta, I installed 2 6x9’s and a 10inch sub and amp. That little car used to shake with the bass! Good times.
Fantastic job Michael again! All done with your fantastic humour and sensational personality. Hi to Chloe and Rosie and I love your videos mate. Have a great weekend 🌞🌞🌞

@Oliver Pearson so if I get a sub can I turn the bass down on the pre fitted speakers and just have the sub handle the bass?
8:43 that face she made when the beat drops haha
I have same unit mounted on golf 5 hatchback /2 doors
The bass is sick ,I also connected to my left and right rear speakers , the only thing now is that my front speakers are much louder as rear speakers

such thin power and ground/earth cables, you'd have to replace them for much thicker ones to run anything more powerful in the future.
All cars must have bass periodttt
Every car needs a subwoofer it’s a must
Got a 12 inch gz in mine 😬 no space left in the trunk with the hatch vibrating bad. Loving it with all my heart though, absolutely worth the money spent!
Bro u have no idea how seeing the progress makes me feel 😂
I could turn the bass off the speakers completely through the radio and let the subwoofer do all the work for clearer higher volume
Me too
How do you do this? I've got an old Yaris so the vibrations from the speakers are Hella annoying
you can put a 12 inch one in cindy ive got one in my picanto and it fully shakes everything in the car
Would love to see a full clean detailing video of the scirocco..
He doesn’t know how to detail
@@officialmrstaticz and you can’t afford a car
Fitted 2 12 inch subs the other day to mk st150 car bounces 😍
@Game Tester mint little cars mate this is my first car soo well happy
Ok job but RCA cables should run the opposite side to power cables and why the fuse box it’s best to go to the electrical Ariel wire on the head unit and it doesn’t need be fused they way have wired your amp it will develop problems with it being wired to the fuse box and may cause the sub to pulse when the audio unit it not turned on but the ignition on just saying
I had fitted 2 12 inch subs into my corsa and had to take them out too much bass it was ridiculous
Can imagine that was lethal 😂
Alpine is a good brand this is another banger 🔥
Hey I have a question. This cables signals must be from rear speakers? I have buy alpine yesterday and if I get good weather I want to install. Very very good video 👍
with the rca tap did you do the left and right side? Or just the left side
From where the T piece connects and RCA cables come out where did the green wire connect to cause it wasn’t on the back of the sub?
Sick content mate. To make the audio a lot better you should upgrade the amp. Trust me, it makes a difference
Have exactly the same one, been going for about 4 years and it still kicks like new, sounds sick in my rocco aswell👌🔥🔥
Subwoofer is tempting tbh
The rear door cards are a nightmare on the scirocco 😂
As working in vw I can confirm you are correct mate vw trims are a pain in the arse to fit aha, Litterally cud be sat there for hours tryna fit it but props to you buddy for fitting it bro belta video
I’ve got a switch in mine so I can turn it on and off when wanted from the drivers seat
Had a subwoofer in every car since 2007😏
Glad to see your subs have gone up mate . That scirocco looking sick keep it up 🤙🏼
I like what you did there.
The sub box has a plug in the port. Pull it out and listen to the difference.
The whip coming along nicely 😲🔥🔥🔥🔥
Did you just bridge off the one rear speaker with the rca's?
Every 17 year old lads must have mod 😂 god I wish I did this to my first car 😂
I HAVE LITERALLY BEEN WAITING YEARS FOR THIS
Good on you for using the T-taps fella
Great video and explanation, could of done with this 6 months ago before I put mine in 😂😂 legend man keep them coming 💪🏻
I've been wanting a sub for my car, might pick one of these up. great vid :)
Sick work bro 👏🏽 would you suggest upgrading the standard speakers before putting this in?
I’m thinking the same question. I think I’m gonna upgrade speakers first with some Blam 165rc then add subwoofer at the end. Car already has an underseat sub but it’s pretty rubbish. Good luck with yours
Yeah he already did upgrade the standard interior speakers not long after he got the car
you should tune in on your own liking, and i recommend not having it on just the ignition because it drains the battery like crazy even being on idle for too long can drain the battery
@theotherstuff Do you need to have a fuse on the remote wire when piggybacking onto another fuse?
yesss you finally got one nice to see it bro!! nice vid keep it up man!! 😁😁
Finally, been waiting for this video for the longesttttttttttt
What is that tin foily stuff called? I assume it’s for soundproofing and that
Here we go !! 🔥
nice video bro, hope ur cocker spaniel won't die cause of the banging on the back of the car
get some bass boosted tracks bro. That will do it!
Not an expert in the slightest But I put a fuse on the main power wire As an Extra protection Just so it cuts off the power from the battery To the Amplifier and sub In certain situations
I have this sub and it has a fuse further up the cable
Well done fitting the sub in ur ride.but the rca cables need to be fitted to the rear of ur headunit.u have only fitted the sub to the left channel of ur speakers(what about the right side).so ur missing the full sound of the stereo.just saying bro.
Alpines are decent but personally for the money I'd of gone with the 12inch edge ported sub, amazing piece of kit for the money
an edge 🤣🤣🤣🤣 you really don't know car audio
Anyone who's loves a rebuild channel, head over to Dave's rebuilds, absolutely amazing content!
Hi mate box of this subwoofer is black or grey?

Mate you should see my 1200 watt 12 inch JBL subwoofer
Do you have upgraded speakers ?
Years ago I had a 12" sub in the boot of my Citroen ax gt first song I played Casper where's my money proper tune lol blew my rear window out glass absolutely everywhere 🤣
Brooo it’s sounds sickkkkkkk keep up with brill work

I literally fitted a 12" one into my fiesta last week
Where did you put the controller?
Don't get a bigger one just get a next one the same and balance it out same wiring 🔈🔉🔊😎👌
I didn’t see where you connected your RCL cables
love the content man. keep it up 🔥
U got a Spotify playlist to share ?
What editing software do you use? Do have recommendations of a free editor and a paid for editor?
He uses Adobe premier pro
But is you cigarette lighter working? Fuse tap need 2 fuses in it. 1 for the item being piggy backed and 1 for the original fuse slot 🤪
You wanna get a stand alone amp and at least a 12inch sub biggest box possible and it will boom
look at the vibe powerbox micro mono amp 1 x 400W taps straight to the fuse box for power it's small but powerful I got this and paired it with a
vibe audio slick 12 inch sub my stereo vol goes to 67 but I only need it at 10-12 and it shakes
All very good but I’m confused about that fanny pack
Should have come down to us bro. I’d have fitted it for a Redbull lol 🤟
8:37 me recognizing the song
i enjoy watching your videos, all the installs and all are fun to see, not that id try it myself, but its good to see the struggle of what i would have needed to accomplish it :) keep it up
