Many hours stood under that shed at 0:46 (mainly in the rain!) when I lived in Scotland for a year. Knockhill was only about 20mins away. Saw some good racing there. The 2CV's coming round that corner were epic!
I’ve got some really good lessons to learn from you my friend. I’m around the same irating as you but I’m like the people in the video that have super pace but spin out in front from pushing too hard all the time. I’ve got to stop pushing so damn hard the whole race and focus on bringing it back a little to keep it within the white lines. To finish first, first you must finish.
Hey Alec buddy - it’s so, so easy to over do it! But yeah it’s honestly what’s made the biggest difference for me this last year - getting a sense of my pace in the race and not trying to find “new speed” during the race itself. Good luck and hopefully see you on track!
Fun crazy race! I was in 2nd place and just behind the leader with 2 min to go yesterday when I lost it at the corner before the last straightaway. Had to tow. Finished 5th. Such is racing!
Nice incident splicing. Really adds to the energy of the video. Great fun racing and I love Knockhill. Also nice hearing a fellow North Eastern accent.
Bro, your ability to string videos together is amazing, im on my third video in a row of yours because of how you make suggestions for next videos to watch. Are you a Marketer in your day job??? Just curious, keep it up
Haha I have a bit of a marketing background yeah! It’s something new I’m trying - from memory you are about to come to the end of this string of videos! Hope you’ve enjoyed them buddy!
Well that was a typical iRansom race, cold tyre slide, all the way to the back, with a great recovery. Relying on cars falling off track rather than overtakes but then that appears to be how it's done in iRansom. Regarding Knockhill in the F4, Brake bias needs to be spot on and I trail brake through the majority of the corners, helps get the weight forwards and aids in stability. Now it works in the other sims I have Knockhill in but not really done that many laps in this combo in iRansom but should translate. It's a track where keeping the rear in check is paramount. Do like Knockhill though. Another top video my man, bravo!
Cheers Paul! Great shout re brake bias - in retrospect it felt like I was having to be very tentative with inputs. I think part of the challenge in that kind of race is getting into any kind of rhythm. It was probably 10 mins in until I have a completely traffic free lap. Funnily enough I haven’t rushed back for another go… 😂
@@Ben_LaBroca Rhythm is great but I've found in iRansom just when you think you've found it the dreaded mystery slide rears its ugly head. Only sim I know where the leaders will slide off, always at least one of the top 3 floundering in the outfield at some point. Way to inconsistent tyre model for my liking and appalling cold tyre physics to boot. Fed up of paying to be frustrated, it's not why I participate.
Devil's advocate though. Is this GOOD racing? Can see you are driving smart and under control but what % of these sim racers just have no control of their car. Thats not good sim racing.
Hey Marco buddy - overall I agree. The GT3 race I did at Brands Hatch in my last video was the opposite of this, with really tense nose to tail racing the whole time, and very few mistakes. This combo makes for an enjoyable video (I hope!) but it was pretty scary to race in given how many drivers, even the really quick ones, were losing it.

Ah that’s awesome! It’s a track I’d love to visit one day for sure.
i'd love to get into a race that you're in, nearly 1.4k iRating atm, getting close
Hey Tom - come join us in the new La Broca discord server and I’m sure an opportunity will come up at some point! discord.gg/2QxBXmUBkv
That circuit is just bonkers... Once in Race 07 I rolled over a MKII Escort on the chicane because I hit the sausage kerb too hard.
Haha yeah it’s crazy Guilherme! Fair relieved that I at least managed to keep all four wheels on the ground, and attached to the car 😂

Cheers Walt! I’m still recovering! 😅

Ah thanks Jens - which bit of God’s country do you hail from then??

What a race! I need a lie down in a darkened room after just watching it! 🤣🤣
Haha cheers Si - you and me both. I’m not sure I’ve ever gripped my wheel as tightly!! 😂
love to see more f4 racing from you
That Garrett took me out in a RaceRoom Race yesterday exact same name cant be a coincidence

This combination might be treacherous but damn it looks fun as hell
Ha yeah it’s wild! There is a perverse fun to be had, but on another day I reckon I could have had like ten more accidents
@@Ben_LaBroca that’s indeed what makes the races intense imo!
Good race Ben
Cheers Russell!!

Try racing it in real life 😅 I raced here in the british f4 championship this year with a full wet quali that put me P4 and finished p4 in race 3
Ah mate you legend…that sounds…challenging!! 😅😅 Must have been a hell of an experience though!
@@Ben_LaBroca yeah other than the weather it was great there were over 40k people there for the BTCC so we had a big crowd
Are there much f4 races in iracing
Every hour buddy - rotating between fixed setup and open. It’s a D class series so once you’re out of rookies you can enter it.
Thanks mate i think i do this but first i need to get iracing is iracing worth the money ?
And wich tracks would you recommend for the f4 class becouse my buget is limited
