I appreciate the explanation of Smart Folders. I was finally able to get that set up in my Notes. There is also a cool feature that I have not heard many folks talk about yet…if you have multiple instances of Notes or any app open and you open the app switcher and then you click on the title of the app…it will give you an app switcher view that is just for that app….and in the case of apple Notes it will let you reopen previously closed windows…..Pretty cool little Easter egg!

Your video approach, which is very unique, takes a feature and demonstrates the use of the feature completely. Not only s it enjoyable, but also very extensive showing aspects of the capability no one that I’ve watched has even touched upon. These Quick Note tips about using Live Text and screenshots is so clutch. I’ve been trying to improve my Japanese by reading and watching more content online. These features are making it super easy to pick up new vocab and characters that I hadn’t encountered. Combined with Anki + Apple Pencil, I have a pretty solid self-study pattern
learned some new things for sure, always great content! a side note for linking notes together after copying the link and pasting it somewhere in another note you can click in front of the the pasted link and give it a shorter (cleaner name) then delete the pasted link. and the new shorter name is now the link for the shared note between the two notes.
Hi Chris. Love the channel and this video is really helpful. I use Apple notes all the time because even though there may be better note taking apps out there, it’s refinements like this and their integration into the eco system that makes me stick with Apple notes.
Dude, I can't believe I'm this late to watching this video. I knew of most of these features from WWDC last year, but I forgot about highlighting text from a website and hooking it up to a quick note. This is so useful for doing my research. Also I didn't bother using the tags feature, because I'd organize everything into folders, but now I'm going to create smart folders. This video is a gold mine!

A topic I don’t think gets enough love is how to take notes off video lectures on RUclips, meeting apps, etc. I think this is especially relevant in a post-2020 world. I’d love to see how you tackle this even if there are gaps in this space.
Not sure of the time stamp, but the handwritten tags, highlighting the web (something I’d seen before, but wasn’t sure how to do,) and much more. This was an insanely helpful video, and I’m someone who both keeps up with the tech world and uses Apple Notes for hours each day. I have used Notes as quite a bit but never have had the time to learn all of it's features. This video helped me tremendously. One of the main things that will help me at work is the tags feature. Also, the link to websites with a highlighted quote will be super helpful.

I am a long Term Evernote user (like 10 years). My Evernote library is mind blowing 🤯 I am thinking about moving to Apple notes. Why? The Evernote iPad app is really very bad. The experience is not what I expect from a subscription based service in these days. So let’s find out, if Apple Notes can jump in and replace it.

I really enjoyed you video, cleared up a log. But at 4:05 when you discuss the copy link, I have checked on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and none of them provide that option. There is a copy link on the Mac, but you have to add a person before you can get it. Am I doing something incorrectly? Again thanks.

I noticed that you chose to insert your screenshot into the note around the 11 minute mark using that “choose from photo library“ option. A quicker way to do this might be to use a hardware keyboard and use the ctl + shift + 3 shortcut and then just drag the thumbnail into the quick note. If cropping is desired you can use the Ctrl + shift + 4 shortcut to crop first, then swipe home to minimize it then drag.
Quick question - have you ever thought about offering a course on Skillshare? I would be interested in something I can “slow down” and also interact with an “instructor.” Maybe I’m just too “traditional” in how I learn things…..

9:50 wouldn't it be dope if the text and markings you wrote on the picture becomes annotative and scales with the picture anytime you resize the picture or at least move with the picture when you move it.
Can someone explain to me why my tags aren’t working? I go to create a new note and use the right tag with the correct punctuation, but it doesn’t appear in my smart folder for some reason. Even for the quick notes

is Ipad OS 15.7 is different ? I don't have 6:25 bar. Even after update to IOS 16 I cannot see that bar on my Ipad air 3-rd generation. Who knows why?
