I'm completely clueless on how to develop a game, but I think it would be cool if at the beginning everyone could choose the village where he comes from and make people compete in teams from every village in different kind of missions. I know most people would choose the Leaf, but if every village has a specific perk (i.e. Cloud has stronger Lightning Jutsus, Mist has Water and the possibility to access the legendary Swords, Sand has Puppets, ecc.) I think it would be incredibly interesting. When the character progresses he gets promoted to chunin, jonin, ecc. and the matchmaking for every mission should be made in a way that, depending on the mission rank, you get teams of genins and a chunin for C-D rank missions, jonins and chunins on A-B missions or something like that. The more you complete the more you progress. But I also understand that probably drawing all the villages is not something very easy to do. This way you could make for example a multiplayer version of the chunin exam for ninjas from every village. It would be probably the coolest thing ever. Also, a little tip: a lot of people would definitely choose the Uchiha or Hyuuga clan just for the ocular powers. You could consider making the game free but at the same time give the access to the Sharingan and the other Kekkei Genkais just via money. It could also be a way for you to be repaid of your efforts and I know many people would be happy to pay you for your work.

Will there be a lock on function for fighting? that will help guide your camera and your Justus? (Still makes directional jutsus dodge able but allows Justus to go down or up based on where your camera is looking instead of just going straight ?)
ADD jutsu to become ghost. it's a jutsu wue that we turn into ghosts to go somewhere faster, we can also attack opponents like that, but it's for a certain time. but if we can improve the jutsus, it has higher time, the jutsu gets bigger or takes more damage :)
the village of mist in the swordsman sword case for sale and being able to change the color of each part of the clothing and being able to choose the place of the clan symbol on the clothing, or normal symbols like that of boruto, behind the shirt. and have a kit to heal life, and when the 3 layers of life are over we die and whoever kills someone who is not a renegade rank he becomes a renegade. the 3 layers are: the first is green, the second is orange and the last is red.
This is extremely dope and it feels new I’ve been needing something like this I feel like the gameplay type your game has would also go so well with an avatar tla.
we could start as students, then the teacher teaches us the basic jutsus for a few days then we are called one by one to each class to show him then we pass and the next day they will draw the teams and sensei, then we fight to get the bells, but the important thing is not to catch the bells, it's fight together so if we fight together we become guenins, and we start doing missions with sensei or not. ah, also draws the team number.

A lot of what I'm using is honestly just Unreal Engine 4 but edited a fair bit. The character controller etc. has some c++ code to make certain things client-server predictive for multiplayer. Feel free to swing me a message on discord and I can try to help a little more!

I'm currently using unity and I built a nice multiplayer naruto game with a lot of features but some how the graphics, physics, controllers and multiplayer systems are way so far from unreal engine. So I was thinking to move to unreal with at least those basic assets you used to get a third person controller and multiplayer 🥳.
Premade one I guess 😅 It's just the standard UE 4 character controller more or less just with a bunch of changes and setup in code to make movement like this client-server predictive and smooth in multiplayer.
This game looks amazing. You should add some voice acting lines for some of the jutsus. Like sometimes have your fighter say the name of the jutsu he’s casting! That would be cool.

I confess that I was never a big fan of naruto games, because they never faithfully delivered the complexity of the battles that happen in the manga and anime. Fighting games like mortal kombat offer a wide range of possibilities for combos and fighting techniques, something that a naruto game should have at its base, at least. In recent years I've given a chance to many naruto games, since the ps2 days, but they never really pleased me. they never gave me the freedom that for example dragon ball budokai tenkaichi 3 provided, they never made me feel like a true ninja in that world, they just made me feel like a machine that emits flashing and colorful lights everywhere. watching the videos of this project that you are creating makes me realize that maybe this is the right direction for a great game in this incredible universe of naruto. It's obvious that there's still a lot of work ahead, and I confess that if I won the lottery today, I would donate a lot of money to benefit this project without thinking twice, because yes, I want a good game of naruto that bad lol. I don't know much about game development, so a mere mortal like me can only hint at what I would find very cool to see. With that said, here are a few. Please forgive me if I sound ignorant, I really understand how laborious the process is to program and fit each mechanic and make it work correctly. - different possibilities of combos and jutsus. - different combat arts. (the possibility to fight only using a Kunai for example) - less particle effects during melee combat. - the need or possibility of using jutsus just by pressing the right sequence of buttons, for example: Fireball jutsu = 8 6 7 Sharingan = X Z Chidori = 1 3 2 this would give more depth during combat, being necessary to act at the right time to counterattack any enemy attack, forcing the player to use his head to come up with different strategies and consequences. Obviously, this would work better if the player himself could configure the right buttons for each different jutsu they intend to use. aside from that, I've seen a lot of really interesting things that you've added that don't even need to be mentioned. the grappling hook I saw during some parts of the gameplay was a very creative addition, not to mention the characters being able to move around the map in battles is something we all find very badass. and a final note, please stick with the anime visuals, in my humble opinion they are much better than the realistic graphics that other games try to adopt. one good thing about the ultimate ninja storm franchise is exactly the fact that the visuals of the characters and the scenarios are reminiscent of the anime. And again, forgive me if I sound ignorant, I know how hard it is to create games, especially if you're not a big company with so many resources, but the special thing about us fans is that we know what we want, and we do it with love. good luck on your project, i'll check back whenever i get the chance. This is a really well written and actually helpful comment ❤ Thanks for taking the time to write this and share your thoughts. Different combos will come in the form of different taijutsu styles that will be better or worse depending on situation and build. You might have a style that attacks significantly slower than other styles but is able to damage through block or weaker body shield type jutsu, you might otherwise have a style based more on speed with less damage or maybe a jutsu that you activate and it begins depleting your chakra but buffs your melee damage and changes how you fight etc. these will differ visually in the animation style they use too. Ninja tools will hopefully play a pretty big part in melee combat in the future too ^^ Kunai melee style will be the next I work on with a basic katana sword style being mostly done already. So far depending on the weapon you're using you're unable to weave signs and use most jutsu unless you sheath your weapon and free up both hands. In the future I plan on adding a one handed signs skill that will allow you to use jutsu with a melee weapon equipped but still slower than you would without it. Using melee weapons cost stamina unlike regular melee with the cost changing depending on weapon type, you are able to cut through someones guard if they aren't currently wielding a melee weapon though and you can block throwing weapons with a weapon in hand unlike without one. I agree that the particles effects are definitely a bit much in melee at the moment also. I was initially going for a Ultimate Ninja Storm look during combat but until I make different particle effects for depending on the attack you're receiving it does look a little ridiculous. As for the specific input to cast Jutsu. It's an idea I considered a lot and still do to be honest. My main reason for not trying out a system like that would be that I think it would slow combat down too much. You'd either have to bind your movement keys to handsign keys and have that mode activate on a key toggle or hold or take your hand off either your mouse or movement keys to effectively punch in handsigns which I feel would just break up movement in combat etc. a fair bit. I do really like the sound of Shinobi in most names but it's unfortunately pretty overused as this point 😔 I'd like to avoid using it since just about every other Naruto fan game I've seen has Shinobi somewhere in the name. Era of Shinobi is also pretty close to another really good Naruto fan game called Shinobi Era so probably not that one sadly 😅
Could have a mastery system similar to warframe, which is based on progression and experience leveling different equipment. As taking an exam for each level of mastery, in order to obtain higher base level equipment and jujitsu.

I have an idea. Maybe make it focused on Boruto? Like the village could be the Next Gen leaf village. OR make two different maps. It's okay if you don't because making maps are probably extremely difficult, also, I have some advice, you should take some inspiration from Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Impact because I really like that game's exploration (even if the levels are linear I feel that it could be implemented into open world) and ESPECIALLY the game's combat system. Definitely magnificent 👌 Or maybe even take some inspiration from Shinobi Striker. Plus, I love this idea! I definitely support it. Keep up the good work dude!
I know this is too late probably because your obviously so far in development but if you ever do change any or make something else would you please make the way people land kinda physics and like euphoria based. I know there a lot of people who are like me who thinks it’s just so satisfy to see the characters body react to the area around them and it also makes the game so much for funnier and fun to play
To keep players moving and not just standing in one place when fighting is to have people get knocked back and stuff maby if you know what I’m talking about like if it’s a powerful jujitsu or attack

I do really like the sound of Shinobi in most names but it's unfortunately pretty overused as this point 😔 I'd like to avoid using it since just about every other Naruto fan game I've seen has Shinobi somewhere in the name.
Era of Shinobi is also pretty close to another really good Naruto fan game called Shinobi Era so probably not that one sadly 😅

Could have a mastery system similar to warframe, which is based on progression and experience leveling different equipment. As taking an exam for each level of mastery, in order to obtain higher base level equipment and jujitsu.

I have an idea. Maybe make it focused on Boruto? Like the village could be the Next Gen leaf village. OR make two different maps. It's okay if you don't because making maps are probably extremely difficult, also, I have some advice, you should take some inspiration from Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Impact because I really like that game's exploration (even if the levels are linear I feel that it could be implemented into open world) and ESPECIALLY the game's combat system. Definitely magnificent 👌 Or maybe even take some inspiration from Shinobi Striker. Plus, I love this idea! I definitely support it. Keep up the good work dude!

I know this is too late probably because your obviously so far in development but if you ever do change any or make something else would you please make the way people land kinda physics and like euphoria based. I know there a lot of people who are like me who thinks it’s just so satisfy to see the characters body react to the area around them and it also makes the game so much for funnier and fun to play
To keep players moving and not just standing in one place when fighting is to have people get knocked back and stuff maby if you know what I’m talking about like if it’s a powerful jujitsu or attack
