Yeah I had this happen when I was going to goron city for the first time to do regional phenomenon. Pretty sure its called a panic blood moon and its a way to make sure nothing gets overloaded.
thiis was happening to me when i got the master sword. II dived off the opening island towards the lookout landing and every time i was just about to land at it, a blood moon would happen, which confused me because it was morning-noon. I thought it might've been something triggered by the master sword being pulled but when i teleported to lookout landing iit was perfectly normal. I think what caused it was a huge lag spike when entering lookout landing, which is already itself a pretty demanding place.
I once had a random blood moon while bombing down some trees, in breath of the wild. I just had one two days ago and when this one happened, it was during the day. It spooked me quite well 😮 maybe it was the same kind sort effects that you showed in this video.
This is one of the many ways to trigger what's referred to as a Panic Blood Moon. Basically the game is programmed to detect errors in spawning or the RAM overloading, and so rather than continuing at the high risk of crashing, a Blood Moon instantly triggers, resetting the map entirely, save for the things that don't reset like special items and shrines
I've noticed if you're running around in the depths for a while. Say you've been playing long enough for a blood moon to happen on the surface. If you teleport to lookout landing and sleep in a bed till morning you'll get a blood moon. So worth a shot if you notice you haven't had one in a while.
@@itsSmiv either make it a lot less laggy when your shooting ores at breakable rocks, make everything alot less laggy in bullet time, or maybe both or something else
Me who was just randomly walking around the lookout landing emergency shelter entrance and activating a panic blood moon:huh i guess i dont need to do this steps
The reason why it happen is pretty interessing. The Blood Moon act like a world backup and when the game think there is something wrong it summon a Blood Moon to restore anything. Dunno what happened here but it was also the case in BotW. Also doing this spawn the Blood Moon even if it's daytime.
The blood moon respawns the dusk bow on the very top of hyrule castle (the dusk bow is the light bow from botw just without the light arrows) bit it can shoot arrows further and does more damage i think [totk]
This glitch still works because a blood moon is also the games way to control mass amounts of lag and chaos, but this blood moon doesn't check where you are
That's was called a "panicked blood moon" in Breath of the Wild, it happens because too much change has taken place meaning the game has to track many more smaller details which would lead to more lagg, so instead a "fake" blood moon happens to reset everything.
When I first saw a blood moon I thought this was the game's way of making enemies stronger so every time I'd go "NO I'M NOT READY I'M GOING TO BE ONE SHOT BY HORSES" but I was severely wrong
That thing is called a panic blood moon and it happens when your switch its running out of ram and when the games detects the low ram on the switch it generates a blood moon
This glitch also allows to get maxed battery as the battery trader (underground) reset their trade every blood moon, so you just dupe big crystal and give them those again and again
you dont have to wait for bloodmon for traders they reset on bloodmon but also based on how far you travel so teleport to the other site of the map and sleep at a stable or inn and travel back that also resets them and is a lot faster than forcing bloodmoons
That’s not a bug. It’s a feature called a panic blood moon. It was known in BOTW. Trust me, they removed most of the bugs from BOTW. They would have gotten that if it was one.
The most terrifying thing for me what I thought was another blood moon until I saw a whole bunch of creepy hands rise from the ground and began chasing me for the first time 💀. I have never run so fast in my life 🤣

Haven't finished botw yet so I didn't know blood moons existed but it brings back some good and bad memories of the same event in Terraria
Yeah I had this happen when I was going to goron city for the first time to do regional phenomenon. Pretty sure its called a panic blood moon and its a way to make sure nothing gets overloaded.
You don't even need to load a save, it'll just happen automatically from my experience
The "load a save" part is probably to get your materials/durability back
@@neroisntdead3681 oh yeah, true.
"A couple of opals"
Proceeds to use 500 opals
thiis was happening to me when i got the master sword.
These are called panic blood moons btw
Gloom hands are by far the worst things to encounter if you’re early game lol
I once had a random blood moon while bombing down some trees, in breath of the wild. I just had one two days ago and when this one happened, it was during the day. It spooked me quite well 😮 maybe it was the same kind sort effects that you showed in this video.
This is one of the many ways to trigger what's referred to as a Panic Blood Moon. Basically the game is programmed to detect errors in spawning or the RAM overloading, and so rather than continuing at the high risk of crashing, a Blood Moon instantly triggers, resetting the map entirely, save for the things that don't reset like special items and shrines
Bro it comes every 2 mins
around 3 hours but okay
Me, who farms silver Lynel everyday: I see the Bloodmoon as an absolute win ^^
Bro thats just great 😂
The only bad thing about Blood Moons is that Grabby Hands comes back.
This DOES work on version 1.1.2 for those wondering!
My first blood moon was just me in a shelter i built with ultrahand and because i had nothing else to do i was cooking the entire time
I've noticed if you're running around in the depths for a while. Say you've been playing long enough for a blood moon to happen on the surface. If you teleport to lookout landing and sleep in a bed till morning you'll get a blood moon. So worth a shot if you notice you haven't had one in a while.
And the best part is, this will probably never get patched out because of how panic bloodmoons work.
Well they might patch the opal trick but not panic blood moons entirely
@@Shark-GTAG how would they patch that though?
@@itsSmiv either make it a lot less laggy when your shooting ores at breakable rocks, make everything alot less laggy in bullet time, or maybe both or something else
Me who was just randomly walking around the lookout landing emergency shelter entrance and activating a panic blood moon:huh i guess i dont need to do this steps
It always baffles my mind how people find out all these crazy things about any game, It's always the most random stuff you have to do
Now, all you need is a way to easily oof every enemy in the game with the press of a button, and you are unbeatable
The reason why it happen is pretty interessing. The Blood Moon act like a world backup and when the game think there is something wrong it summon a Blood Moon to restore anything. Dunno what happened here but it was also the case in BotW. Also doing this spawn the Blood Moon even if it's daytime.
It's so terrifying zelda(?) Sounds much more terrified talking about it than in BotW
I have a clip of clearing off the final enemy off of the island in the north east and then a blood moon happening as i kill him
The blood moon respawns the dusk bow on the very top of hyrule castle (the dusk bow is the light bow from botw just without the light arrows) bit it can shoot arrows further and does more damage i think [totk]
Are you telling me you can "panic moon" in base totk?
Bro bloodmoons make me so happy when they happen so many good weapons respawn
I'm glad they kept the Blood Moon mechanic, but the cutscene is super creepy now.
Also the meals you cook under the light of a blood moon restores more hearts and are more efficient
I'm gonna be honest I think i'm more scared of a red Bokoblin than I am of the blood moon.
Wish the weapons in this game lasted longer considering the time I take to make them they still don’t seem to hold long
Get pristine weapons or zonaite weapons. The decayed weapons are supposed to be weaker and less durable.
Cooking food during blood moon will boost their effect.
Attack.
Defense.
Speed.
Healing.
You name it all
The one time opals are useful
i haven't started TotK yet (trying to finish up random bs in BotW first), are opals really that worthless as fuse items?
@@newflesh666yed
No they're very needed. There's quite a few sets that'll run through 15-25 per piece to upgrade. You'll need 100s by the time you max all sets.
@@newflesh666 only thing they’re good for is upgrading armor, which tbh I don’t do when I play so it’s worthless to me
It's a panic blood moon, was in breath of the wild, and happens when the game has had to much, and the blood moon happens to fix the game
Fun fact you can’t get a blood moon in the depths
This glitch still works because a blood moon is also the games way to control mass amounts of lag and chaos, but this blood moon doesn't check where you are
Me: not scared of blood moons.
Also Me: seeing gloom spawn, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE (gets caught)
Forced Panic Blood Moon, Nice Find
The reason this works I because how the blood moon resets enemy's it also acts as a emergency reset too
That's was called a "panicked blood moon" in Breath of the Wild, it happens because too much change has taken place meaning the game has to track many more smaller details which would lead to more lagg, so instead a "fake" blood moon happens to reset everything.
I’m replaying botw for when I get totk and the blood moon is so much damn scarier than I remember
Blood moon clears cache.. brilliant idea
Btw you don't need to save and reload
It might not now but it works on 1.0.0
Save and reload is to keep your arrows and other materials and not use bow durability. Basically to make it a free blood moon.
@@Amoebatirith oh, ok thanks for the advice
Be sick if there was a seacret boss during a blood moon you just see majora staring into the sky menacingly
Ooooooh, so that's what all of those opals were for
I tried it yesterday and it worked!!
Had one happen to me randomly at like 10 AM in game, that was certainly strange
Put audio in Japanese n listen to the cutscene of the blood moon.
trust me it's worth it.
“Terrifying things”
Well 100% true for lynels
This glitch also allows to get maxed battery as the battery trader (underground) reset their trade every blood moon, so you just dupe big crystal and give them those again and again
you dont have to wait for bloodmon for traders they reset on bloodmon but also based on how far you travel so teleport to the other site of the map and sleep at a stable or inn and travel back that also resets them and is a lot faster than forcing bloodmoons
Philly:blood moons are the scariest thing in totk
Gloom hands:am I a joke to you
So did anyone else get a blood moon on their first night on the surface after leaving the great sky island?
Lmao totk is so broken in so many ways, it just makes it so much fun! Thanks for the method!
That’s not a bug. It’s a feature called a panic blood moon. It was known in BOTW. Trust me, they removed most of the bugs from BOTW. They would have gotten that if it was one.
Does the lynel in the depths under the castle also respawn?
The most terrifying thing for me what I thought was another blood moon until I saw a whole bunch of creepy hands rise from the ground and began chasing me for the first time 💀. I have never run so fast in my life 🤣
a few days ago, i had a blood moon. 15 seconds later, another. and another. i had like 5 blood moons in 2 minutes, and i had to close and reopen the game to make it stop. i still dont know how it happened, and am still very confused. (this was v 1.0.0)
The mechanism is basically a memory cleaner, but since you have a memory leak somewhere, it never ends.
the day one patch must've patched a leak somewhere.
Panic blood moon's are not common so your game was prob dying
