How to make Translucent Concrete / DIY Light Concrete

  • Making translucent concrete yourself - in this video I will show you how I made translucent concrete myself with simple means and without a lot of tools.
    In order to produce the translucent concrete, light-conducting plastic fibers are incorporated into the concrete.
    I used a very fine-grained special concrete for casting, which compacts by itself.

    This is a cool project but technical is not litracon / transparent concrete. It’s simply some transparent plastic rods imbedded in concrete. There is in fact a difference. Cool project and execution though. It would also be cool to see this much larger.

    it would be helpful if someone would say wht kind of optical fibre its...because i am finding little problem buying those exact fibre in the stores near me

    At 3:25 are those ‘fiber optic shards’ to help with the light transmission? Or are they ‘nylon concrete fibers’ to help reinforce the concrete?

    Does it transmit natural sunlight if we use it in making concrete cubes ? It's for my project

      yes, the optical fibers transmit any kind of light.
