This makes me smile. When I was a kid, I used to upcycle old fabrics into Barbie clothes. This is a wonderful idea to take old socks and make cute sweaters for the dolls. Great work!
Thank You!!!😊
This is the best sweater-from-socks tutorial! Thank you!

New subscriber coming from Everyday Barbie. I’ve saved so many cute socks. Cant wait to make stuff!
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here! 😊
These look so nice. Is there a way to size up to fit Ken? I have a 1:6 scale John Watson who really wants a black & white striped jumper and an oatmeal coloured cable knit jumper and I think using socks would give the best result. Edit...I see you have made some for Ken. I can't wait to try this!
You explain so well, it makes me feel I could do this
Thank you!😊

this is fantastic!! im thrilled to have found your channel, definitely subscribed 😍
Thank You so much and Welcome!😊
This was very well done! The instructions are so clear and easy to follow. Bravo. I was just wondering if it would be easier to sew up the sides, then put the bottom band on without cutting it. There would be less bulk that way.
Yes either way would work for the waistband. Glad you liked the tutorial! and thanks for your idea!😊
I’ve just came across your channel and I love it ! Thanks for this tutorial ❤

This is about the best video I have found of how to make sweaters from a pair of socks so I'm going to subscribe. I have a question, can you please post the measurements in standard USA as well as metric for the mathematically challenged people such as myself😅? Also can you make a video of how to make these sock sweaters for the Chelsea size dolls. I have been collecting sock just for this cause and I'm going to get to work on it.
Oh my goodness it took me forever to find you again! Lol yay!
What happened to all your amazing videos?
Welcome back to my Channel!
I was so excited to try this and I went out and bought 10 pairs of socks. All the wrong size. Oh well! Back to the store I go.
New subscriber here! Thanks for this wonderful idea!!!

Love it! I'm your new subscriber 🥰😍
Thanks for subbing!😊
Sucesso sempre 🏆✨❤️
Pretty cool...👌🏾
I love this! This is so awesome! New sub here!
Thank You!!! and Thanks for subscribing!!!!
Well done! How do you get it on the doll without an opening at the back? Would that be even possible on dolls that are not Made to move? And even with all the joints it seems a small miracle that it fits over the head!
Thank You! The sweater measurements are to fit a standard 11.5 inch doll. The band of the sock has a lot of stretch and the neck opening fits easily over the dolls head. To put the sweater on the doll put the arms in first and then place the neck opening over the dolls head. I hope this helps!😊
i love it make some my new doll as will thank pam
So cute!
Superb!
Do you include a seam allowance when making the pattern. Since the hand stitching is so close to the edge can you just make a pattern and sew it, or do you need to make your Patterns slightly larger for seam allowance space?
I don't use a seam allowance I sew the sock material together with a cross over stich and then I sew a straight stich close to the edge, If you use a larger sock you could include a seam allowance. 😊
@@onesixscale Thanks for the reply.
Thank you! New subbie 😊
Welcome!!!😊 Thanks for Subscribing!!!
Thank you 😊 I'm going to make this. 🧶
You’re welcome 😊
This is amazing
Very creative
Thank you! 😊
I enjoyed watching this video. One question. Are they easy to put on? As for a child?
Thank you. Jane
The sweaters are easy to put on they stretch well over the head and hands. To make it easier to put on the doll try cutting open the back of the sweater and using Velcro to reclose it. Thank you!😊
Awesome ❤
Thank You!!!
Oh my goodness I thought this was so cute
Thank You!!!
This is a great video but did I miss something? How do you get the sweater on and off? The neck doesn't look like it would stretch enough.
Thanks for your question and it's something that I do get asked frequently. The band of the sock is made from elastic and fabric which makes it very stretchy. The neckline of the sweater is also made from the band which makes it stretch easily over the dolls heads. When I put the sweater on the doll I put the dolls arms in first and them I stretch the neck opening over the dolls head. I hope this helps!😊
I used my baby socks😂😂😂
the algorithm read my mind and plopped this on my front page, i found some striped socks i dont wear anymore that the colors would look so cute on my MH G3 Catty and i was thinking about figuring out if i could make a sweater out fo them for her. im guessing ill have to make a back closure since her head is bigger then a barbies, but that shouldnt be to hard with some velcro harvested from old doll clothes
The sock fabric is very stretchy and can fit over my Barbie's heads that have a lot of hair but making a small cut down the back from the neckline and putting Velcro or a snap to close it sounds like a great idea! I'm glad you found my video!😊
@@onesixscale Thank you for the tutorial! i made the sweater this evening and it ended up becoming a sweater dress for my doll, she looks stunning! already have plans to make a crop top version for a different doll :)
👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
do you use kid size or adult size socks?
I use adult socks size 4-10 and you can also use a larger sock size if you want the sweater to have an oversized fit!
@@onesixscale thank you…..
❤❤❤❤
