One thing that you do, Martha, that I don't always see other cooks do: you always use a rubber spatula to remove all the liquid/runny ingredients into your baking dish. You can lose up to at least 1/2 cup of the recipe if you don't. Please mention this in your videos. Inexperienced cooks who watch cooking shows and don't see this step miss out on amounts of their recipe and may not realise why. Thanks for all your extra hints!!! 😄💋

Since I am both dairy and gluten free I found these recipes disappointing. Although I can figure out substitutions (since I do it regularly) I was expecting these recipes to be already gluten and dairy free.
Once the ingredients get turned into flour FORM, is the very meaning of gluten; rather if one uses corn, other grains, or NUTS; still gluten, just a different ground up, powder, Flour dust food item.
Many people believe coconut oil is much “healthier” than butter, or trans fats. Not true! Coconut oil and palm oil are just as high in cholesterol as butter! You may choose it for flavor, or to be vegan, but NOT for cholesterol! Having said that, I like this video for her excellent demos & recipes. After many years of shrunken pie crusts, I learned to freeze my pie shells before baking. Then use pie weights, or dried beans while baking. Also, if you are using a glass or ceramic pie plate, put the frozen plate on a room temperature baking sheet before putting in the hot oven - keeps the frozen glass from hitting the hot oven rack.
My grandmother had a slotted wooden utensil that had a slight slant on the bottom. It had 3 small slots in it. , She did everything with that utensil. Mixed German chocolate cake for me, gravies, oatmeal, pancakes, everything because it scraped a saucepan so well, I think and was much better than a spoon. I have it in my kitchen now.

Diabetics have carbohydrate issues. It's not sugar diabetes, it's any and all carbs diabetes. Can you and your team pretty please with splenda on top develop some recipes that are low carb and slow carb friendly? That are actually worth eating? Cheese and berries are getting tired!! 🙃😈💖

Don't mind the gluten, but I am diabetic and need more sugar free recipes! I've had to be very creative with everything to not spike my sugar levels over the years, and Stevia is the only sugar substitute I use in my home. More chefs need to learn to use this. I haven't eaten brown sugar in decades, never liked the taste and have yet to find a decent replacement for it!

You know, on 2nd viewing of the Chocolate Coconut Pie and the Plum Torte, these appear to have a lot of added sugar. She needs to use something else as plant based sweetener for these.
Martha said the chocolate coconut pie was dairy free but she whipped egg whites with hot syrup for a meringue. I think she forgot! 🥴. -OR- Does dairy-free in this situation mean no milk products? She did NOT say vegan so perhaps I’m wrong. 🤔 Someone let me know.
