While the CMYK would work for printing lithophanes, CMYK is about adding pigment to a white base in order to allow for a full-color gambit. Unless the filament has liquid dye in it, mixing four colored filaments (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) would not offer you "unlimited colors" of printing but rather a lot of earthy tones in the pastel and muted range with browns and greys being most prevalent. At a minimum, you would need a fifth (White) to counter black when trying to get different hues and saturation levels. My guess is that it is a print head with four separate nozzles to lessen material waste from the AMS. The second half of their teaser also mentioned how to quent down a printer and that is likely not related to a multi-nozzle head and probably some other piece of hardware.
Very, very, difficult to do such a thing. Printer ink colours are created by depositing very tiny drops of ink that visually appear as different colours. To achieve colours in plastics, you need the pigment mixtures in the plastics to be blended very precisely. I doubt that this is feasible.
I'm not sure mixing colours would work with FDM. I've printed many dual or tri co-extrusion filaments and they always come out the same way they're fused together. Even after splitting and rejoining with a CHT nozzle
Bro i just got my X1C😢 i'm actually still go to school and 1.5k is a lot for me. I hope that this tool will be compatible with the x1c because i wanna have like the best for my hobby
Even if this is not an addon and it’s a new printer, I don’t think it would be made to compete with the x1c. My guess is it would be a more entry level printer similar to the p-series
@@Shayway yeah maybe. My thoughts as i got the mail were. "Oh man i just bought a printer, please don't be a new flagship" i hope you understand 😅 and yes, you see how good the p1 series is. But i really wanted the display and the Lidar. Thsnk you for the response. Have a nice day. Greetings from Germany
I just got an X1C and if this is indeed infinte colour mixing - OH MY GOD! While it might have been smarter to wait for a version that includes this, i feel like itll be sold at a premium anyway and hopefully compatible with the X1C - and a very exciting upgrade to it! Here's hoping!

Makes total sense. I let my imagination run wild with this one 😂 thanks for watching 🙏
I can't wait for the release!! Super excited! Appreciate the shoutout btw 💜
Same! And of course!
It is a new printer. Look at the other 2 clues they have given. How the make silent printing and rethink auto flow calibration.
Just released a new video covering creators that covered this! I’m stoked!
Bambu Lab A1, multi colour
Catchy name if this is it! I saw Nathan Builds Robots video and that seemed to make sense!
Entry level or new flagship?
@@johnjoe769 latest rumors are for entry level companion to the X1C
Maybe it will be some kind of tool that will color the white filament in process with some ink or What
That would be cool! I’m excited for whatever this is and how it will change the 3D printing again 🙌 thanks for watching 🙏
Why do you think then that the teaser shows four filaments coming in?
How bizarre few months ago i wondered if it was possible to mix cymk for 3d printing. Here we are...if it is this tool.
Right?! It would be so cool if this is a thing

@@boggisthecat yeah thats true, lets wait and see. Would be great tho 🫶

It has 3 nozzles instead of one. I have seen it by mistake. I even have a picture.
I’m Excited!
hi my dear, after many reasearch it appears to me that it is a device for multiple printer heads. But we will see
Might be a bed slinger
I’d love another printer 🤤

Same. Just got an x1 carbon. Really hope its an upgrade or a cheaper printer

Pretty sure it’s going to be compatible with their flagship printer.
Loving the X1C myself and whatever this is will definitely take it to a whole new level if compatible I’m sure. 🤞🤞🤞
Whatever it is, i hope itll be compatible with current p1s and x1... So its upgradable
I'd be very surprised if it isn't
Of course it will be.
