When I first saw the cafe scene I cried with Kaneki. Autism among other things dull your feelings sometimes and I almost never cry at anything, the only things I ever cry at in my life is while watching anime, hell I didn't even cry when my grandmother died when I was 12. Only 4 anime got me to cry, the Clannad series, Plastic Memories, Seven Deadly Sins season 2 and this scene.
3:11 in the anime this rock section is performed with an acoustic guitar instead of an electric guitar. i didn't know this was even a rock song until i looked it up and found this version of the song. i bet they had the guitars re-recorded acoustically because the acoustic doesn't take up nearly as much of the sound space so the vocals from the show would pierce through more powerfully. but she might also be singing louder in this version. i can't tell if that's just multiple vocal tracks though. still i was surprised the actual song is this different despite the melodies and lyrics all being the same.
