Your video is such a breath of fresh air! Over the past week I’ve seen so many videos sponsored by the same retailer. I like the retailer and I enjoy the influencers that posted these videos but I’ve seen the same 5-6 items in every video. It’s so refreshing to see someone demonstrating how to use what you already have to create wonderful outfits. I’m so determined to not haul anything but to haul my behind to my closet and shop my wardrobe and use my creativity. Thank you!
Dear Signe, you have inspired my sustainable clothing journey. Whenever I need inspiration with styling some pieces of my wardrobe, I check your Instagram or Pinterest. I love your positivity, how dedicated you are to the concept of mainstreaming outfit repeating, how you manage to elevate seemingly basic garments by being creative with accessories, mixing and layering. I can say that my life has changed since I encountered your channel because I started building a second-hand capsule wardrobe based on my colours and body shape. This removes so much anxiety from the daily choice of what to wear. I no longer feel like I have nothing to wear and I feel so excited whenever I manage to successfully match clothes that I thought I would never be able to wear together. I just would like to highlight the incredible impact that you have on people like me. Keep it up!
I like seeing you restyling existing pieces :). It gives me motivation to do the same. I have quite a few blazers hiding in my closet for 15/20 years. I may resurrect them for cool/cold days in lieu of jackets and coats. Unless I wear a collared top, I always wear a scarf as a barrier between skin and blazer collar (try not to stain the inside collar). Inside wrist I pretend not to see lol
Love love love watching you play in your closet and the reminder of how important it is for us to do this in our own closets! I "played" today in my closet and figured out what was wrong with two other looks I hadn't loved with some of the same pieces. I also want to applaud you for working to diversify your inspiration. I remember a few years back you were challenged by some followers to go find more outfit creators of color and you went out and did it and now you share their great style with your audience. Brava!
You look so great in your skirts and dresses, and they’re so comfortable, I’m surprised you don’t wear them more in warm weather. I’m glad to see you trying some skirt outfits❤
So refreshing to see you style your wardrobe. Enjoying and putting together things you already have, is so good. Hearing and see your thought process was very helpful. Thank you
This is such a great thing to do, and how many of us have pieces of clothing that are still brand new and have never worn in our wardrobe? Beautiful pieces that we'd forgotten we even had? It's such a great feeling to combine items of clothing in different ways to make new, even better outfits, for example I've recently started wearing graphic t-shirts (and cropped t-shirts I was about to discard) under my denim shirt dresses, I leave some buttons undone so the t-shirt peeks out, it's also great if you have flabby/wrinkly arms and feel a little insecure about wearing t-shirts, just put them under your long-sleeved classic denim dress for a youthful, cool look at any age!
LOVE this type of video. You could have done an entire one on the leopard skirt! I am semi retired, work from home on a small farm so I probably won’t buy a leopard skirt…even though I WANT to…BUT thought about using my leopard blouse with color!
You are always inspiring! I was sitting around feeling sorry for myself because my plans for the afternoon were thwarted, and now I am off to my wardrobe to put together new looks! Thank you!
My wardrobe was always a jumble of prints and colors but you are convincing me that neutrals are the way to go! They mix and match so beautifully! (And I also have a long torso, so your tips are helpful!)
you are soo good at these shop my closet videos!! they are so helpful!! and i love that use you examples from other creators. looking forward to more of these!!❤❤❤ TY
Binging your videos after discovering you though Christina/Alyssa. I love your aesthetic/vibe, and also love that you carry a City bag. It will forever be my fave bag -- to me it doesn't date.
Love the outfit ideas. Relatively new to your channel but you’ve inspired me to be more mindful of what I purchase and use what I already own in new ways. Thanks, Signe PS I purchased a piece from Monica Vinader and love it!🥰
I absolutely LOVE my anine bing tshirt. I got the Elton John version and it gets so many compliments. Definitely don’t need such an expensive t to get the look, but there is something special about how they fit and tuck
I think what you did with the new skirt is also key. When buying a new item, it’s good to commit the time to figure out how to style it and wear it right away. Otherwise it’s likelier to go unworn and we’re tempted to go looking for the next new piece instead.
I do the weekly outfit prep and absolutely love it. Of course sometimes I change things up if the weather changes or I sometimes swap the outfits around but I love it, it definitely saves me time in the mornings and helps me get dressed and use what I have in my closet. Would love a video of you doing this!
Ah, postpartum jean shopping.... I think I'm still trying to find what's right for me. I love those looks with the skirt. I want to wear more skirts but I feel most comfortable in casual looks. Thanks for showing some looks I can actually wear!
You are going to love the leopard skirt with chunky boots and sweaters. I have a pleated midi leopard skirt and am so excited to style it this way in the fall but seeing the colour pop is such a good idea. I also love a jean jacket and sneakers or a leather jacket and flats as well. So many ideas. You always inspire me to play with what I already own in different ways!
I recently bought a leo skirt very similar to yours but I always wear it w white or black... thanks for your ideas on colour aproach, I definitely will try new combinations w pink or sage or blue 😊
Love your videos and your podcast a lot. I highly recommend preparing the outfits for the week on Sundays and hanging them on an extra rack. Taking some time to put on great music and try on outfits on Sundays is fun. If I don’t have time I just have a look at the album on my phone with pictures of previous great outfits, chose some outfits and quickly hang them. Makes my life way easier and of cause it makes me look quite well dressed every day. Love it so much. But there is one important point for me: I don’t always wear outfit 1 on Monday, outfit two on Tuesday an so on. I just take the one I feel like wearing that day. That’s why I usually hang eight outfits and if I feel like it sometimes just wear one twice. My three teenage kids startet outfit preparing too. So a great and fun fashion show takes place in our apartment on Sundays. I am a high school teacher and my students love my style which I never intended but it does make me happy that people recognize my style evolution. I wasn’t into fashion for 38 years at all but then I have discovered it and learned so much from you and other RUclipsrs especially you, Alyssa Beltempo and Emily Wheatley. And now with 40 years I am a sustainable stylish person (only buy second hand and well considered) and most importantly I feel greater then ever and the creative act of putting together fun outfits really fulfill me.
Thank you ❤that was great to see how you get inspired, would be nice to have video of rules that exist like three colour rule , two casual two dressy items , that would be great
Great ideas! About the balance between torso and legs: I think you really manage to achieve that by tucking in those two sweaters, for a 1/3 (torso) and 2/3 (legs) balance. But, if you ask me, the long blazer over the mid skirt elongates your torso and shortens your legs, because it cuts your body in half. Being a follower of yours, I noticed that you mostly seem to avoid a 50/50 proportion - or do you sometimes just throw it in for variation? The color of the blazer indeed works really well with the leopard skirt. I saw tutorials to crop a blazer without cutting it (with pins), that would be interesting to try out. :) I'd love to hear your thoughts about this! Liebe Grüsse aus München 💖
I believe I’m seeing a beautiful inspiration going on between you and your other two podcast cohosts - Christina and Alyssa (I follow both as well). I feel as though that, since you have started working together, you all have a renewed energy that is so inspiring and so “catching”. #BeautifulThingsDoneTogether
I prep outfits every Sunday. I don't physically get the items out; rather I check the weather, and stand on front of my wardrobe and write out 5 days worth of outfits. I even write shoes in and a couple of alternate items in case I'm not feeling what I chose. Sometimes I'll even swap days during the week. It's much faster in the morning to choose from paper! 😂
I'm so glad I found your channel. My style I've come to realise is very similar to yours. Casual, comfortable with a slight edge. I've recently in past couple of months bought a leopard print skirt. Completely off brand but I love the idea off pairing it with a jumper and boots. I also love the graphic tshirt style and biker jacket. Thinking in investing in a pair of leapard flats too. Think they would bring an edge to a jean combo. The one thing I've changed is heel size, I go low in all my shoes now. Living your content. X
I LOOVE your videos! The skirt, sweater, boots and bag are great! I don’t usually wear dresses or skirts but I do love that outfit and I am going to be going through my closet!
this was so helpful explaining what brands you use, what brands work and what issues you are working through with your clothes. Great to hear more about everlane. I purschased a piece from Everlane and am trying to figure out what they have that works for others. Are you an inverted triangle? I am and struggle with blazers but if you are one and Everlane blazers work I will try that.
You should try the Levi’s 70’s high slim straight jeans…they are perfection for a long torso and my mom of 5 bod! They just get better and better with every wash!
How can you say that it's kinda the same colour. the shoes have a cool tone the bag has a warm one. 😆 Love your content and this is great inspo but as a designer I have to complain :D
I find matching the shoe colour to skin colour can help elongate! Particularly if it's a heel. I usually do black cropped jeans with black Chelsea boots. It's not totally elegant, but it got me through the past few years where it was near impossible to buy a full length pant 😅 (Canadian, so Chelsea boots are basically all season in my city).
The cropped Levi's make your legs look very short, I've tried cropped jeans myself and gave them away immediately, unless you are super tall and skinny, they really shorten your legs
I find it so inspiring how you style your pices in different ways instead of feeding us all with hundreds of new items every month!
Thank you so much for NOT selling me new clothes! Keep this kind of content coming please!

Thank you for bringing back this format, I missed it so much! You are the Queen of the "steal her style" videos ❤
Loved this video! Especially the looks with the leopard skirt, very inspiring. I hope that you do more "Old clothes, new outfits". Thank you!

Love this type of video, using your own items to recreate outfit ideas you see online that you like. Helpful and inspiring. Please make more!
So glad you’re doing this again!!

Shop your closet videos are my favorite! Really pretty outfits 🩷
Really loved this video! Super inspiring and also refreshing compared to all the hauls we see online. I would love to see more of these 😍

Love the double denim! ❤❤
It's funny but I loved your own look (the one while you're in front of your closet) the most :) love your effortless energy
Loved this video Signe!! More! More!!

Hi Signe, love your videos; would you consider warm gray tights in the outfit with the warm gray sweater, in cold weather of course?
Elsker den her video. Brugbar og hands on til inspiration - du er så god!
Great video. TFS
Thank you for the great content once again
So inspiring, thank you!
Thanks for these ideas! I noticed... you don't wear belts?
I do but in periods! Sometimes I like the simplicity without. 😍🙏🏻
From which label are you favourite pieces? How do you spell it? Thanks
Random question what happened to your kitty cat I think her name was Luna? 🐈⬛🥰💕
Where is look 3 with the blue blazer?
Great!
Inspiring 🙂
How can you say that it's kinda the same colour. the shoes have a cool tone the bag has a warm one. 😆 Love your content and this is great inspo but as a designer I have to complain :D
I can’t seem to get my shoes right with cropped jeans.

I find it's sometimes worth looking a bit shorter to add the edgy look! Not as elegant/elongated, but if done intentionally I think it can still work.
❤❤❤
Ugh...Balenciaga. I understand you are not throwing the handbag away, but please don't give that horrible company any mention.
I know what you mean and I totally understand where you’re coming from on this! But yes, it’s old so I’m going to get my wear out of it 🙏🏻
lost me at balenciaga, nothing's worth supporting in my opinion.
Love this format!
