Start implementing these habits today and see the difference for yourself! Let me know in the comments which one you're focusing on first.
1. I mostly mean App notifications. Most want some calls or texts to get through. ALTHOUGH I go through phases of turning text message notifications off and it feels great.
2. There are times to breathe through your mouth! But as a standard, breathe through the nose. try a small piece of tape over your lips at nighjt.
3. Sit on the floor more! this is instant mobility gains without stretching. Stretch around 3x per week. Squat and hang daily :)
Literally all 3 of these things are things that I have done in the past 4 years and all have greatly helped my mental health and clarity.
I played 2k professionally for a while and sitting on the floor moving between 4 patterns was enough to unlock a full squat with no heel elevation. Sitting in chairs locks up your mobility so much. Before just adding that one practice mobility wise I could not squat to parallel.
We need more people like you in this world spreading good info and not clickbaiting
@@isiight. awesome work man thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much
You've reminded me about the not breathing through the mouth. I finally got good sleep once I changed to breathing through my nose
I'm 70 and I frequently sit on the floor & I'm trying to squat more
It feels so great - thank you❤
By hanging do you mean dead hangs?
Cuz I can't do those. I have trouble breathing when I do dead hangs and I constantly have to lift myself up so I can breath. I might be doing something wrong but I don't know how to fix it.
@ That's lovely thanks for sharing 😀
My dad is trying to convince me to get an Apple Watch. One of his selling points is “you get all your phone notifications on your wrist.” And I’m like, that’s not the selling point you think it is.
Ah man to be fair that's how most of our society feels!
I'm not against tech but I want it to serve me, rather than me serving it!
For me, having the smartwatch helps minimize my screen time by having the notifications on my wrist if you have to remain connected & available for work or family. The watch screen is a lot less distracting than the phone screen.
I also have an hourly alert on my smartwatch to remind me to breathe through my nose, so it's been a pretty effective tool to assist in keeping me mindful.
@ that's a fair point. Appreciate your perspective on it! My wife also uses an apple watch and she says it keeps her off her phone more so I believe it.
For me I like to be unavailable the majority of the day so it's not for me 😂
I use an apple watch with cellular, so I can go out and about without my phone but still get calls
Also great to listen to music and type in your sets and reps on the Fitness Logbook app during workouts
@@ProductionsFromBeyon 🤣😂 Right?! I DON’t want the ones coming to the original Device sir 😅 📲
Got to be honest, I was expecting the usual self improvement bollocks from this but it's actually original and useful. Thanks haha
Haha "Wake up earlier" .... Yeh I tried to think of the ones on the fringe that are quite useful
#1- Definitely not a problem. No one call or rarely text & I only have RUclips so no real social media 😂
Same😊
nice!
Turning off notifications was and still is thee BEST thing I could have ever done.
big time mental clarity
Life saver for me!!
I keep my phone on silent, so that I’ll only be aware of messages when I look at it, but I do need to stop using it as much. I’ve been doing some of your mobility exercises for the past few days and plan to continue to incorporate them into my fitness regimen. Appreciate you!🤸🏾♀️💪🏾💖
Silent mode is the best. Go airplane mode every once in awhile :)
@@Strengthside Exactly
I go through phases where I switch off/on my notifications as and when I feel I need to restore my mental clarity. I’ve also been sleeping at night for sometime, since the pandemic ended with a postage stamp size of Micropore tape over my mouth to encourage myself to breathe through my nose with my mouth close. And I switched at the age of 52 to barefoot shoes, which hurt at first because I have Fiat feet and no arch and a bunion on my left foot. Now, at 53 my foot muscles are stronger and I’m now running again like I use to and I’m noticing my feet are not so flat footed anymore with an arch developing on both feet. And my bunion on my left foot looks better and no longer aches or hurts when my feet use to be cramped, wearing the wrong shoes. I try also a lot of your stretches, including the deep squat stretch. Thanks.
Brawo!
Love it. I also use a small piece of tape. Game changer
❤🎉 WELL DONE
YOU changed my life for the better ❤
😀❤
I went to a music festival once, it was 6 days long. I lost my phone on day one, and initially I was stressed out. I went the whole festival with no phone at all and had one of the best times of my life. I was super present the whole time. 🙏
Your energy seems great, love that you practice Capoeira 💪
love capoeira :)
Do you play with a Group in Colorado?
the one about nose breathing is definitely a life changer, lowered my anxiety and improved my sleep because it opened my nose.
You are amazing!!! I workout often, but your tips are supporting me in not losing my flexibility and not mobility alone. I've worked too hard to give up ground on my flexibility! Thank you for finding your way into my algorithm and inspiring me to Keep It Movin'❤
True.
Yes to all three! I’ve actually done all these regularly for a while, and I can attest to how life-changing they are. 😀
Nice! The changes are subtle and take some time but after awhile you realize how much of an impact they make
@@Strengthside Absolutely! One thing to add on the nasal breathing is that it makes you less likely to get sick (or lessens the symptoms if you do) because your nose is able to filter out a lot and gives your body a chance to fight it off. I thought that was pretty cool. I can say that seems to be working for me for the last 2 years!
No notifications is honestly the best way to go. My mind is already distracted enough.
Thank you 👁️
Simple and effective :)
I’m 45 and can squat now. I don’t think I was ever able to or even tried till a few years ago. Long battle for sure but this ability cured so many others.
Finding you guys changed my life a lot!
Extremely sound advice across the board. ❤
Thank you for sharing!
Moving every day in any possible way is a blessing we should always experience 😊
The first 2 ✔️
The last one is my big goal to infuse for good this year and for the rest of my life ✨
Thank you ❤ as always great advices! I immediately turned off my cell phone notifications! Running with nose stripes was a game changer in 2024 for me 🏃
You're a barefoot hiker!
Not surprised.
Thanks for the cool movement clips you included. Would probably make my kid happy.
These 3 habits also changed my life a lot. Greetings from Poland!
Bro, these are pro tips. I've done the no-notification thing on my phone for a couple years now, and it's wonderful.
Your mobility is crazy! Well done!
Agree but need more than just these 3 to truly change your life.
Keep em coming! ✨️😇
In India all those exercises are still a part of day to day life like sitting on the floor for having food, every morning to st*t also we had that squat position, to mop the floor with hands again in a squat position.
Basically all Yogasan are involved in our day to day life but from a few years in the name of modernization we are forgetting all these things.
But still respect for you brother that you are trying to bring ancient things back👍
Your short content is the best information for quality of life . Thank you
U have changed my life
I'm going to try everyday is a mobility day!
your body will love it
It also reduces stress when a lot of influencers keep their mouth shut in general, not only at night :-)
Dope! Been doing the first two for quite some time. Gotta start implementing the last one too! Blessings ✨
good on you
I love it! I hope you can convince as many ppl as humanly possible! I say AMEN!!
Thanks. Has anyone heard of the book 'Health and Beauty Mastery' by Julian Bannett, can’t believe how underrated it is. This book has some serious knowledge you won't find anywhere, definitely recommend.
thanks
huh
I just recently came across your channel. One of those no brainer subscriptions. Good dude, good morals, good habits, and good intentions while being positive. Lets go!
means a lot man thank you
We just installed a pull up bar in our living room and I’m trying to remember to get into the habit of hanging on it every day for as long as I can (thanks for the reminder!!!)
This is what I'm trying more and more to emulate! Strength and mobility movements, animal flow and bodyweight training, and getting maximum sunlight and outdoor time!! 🤙👍
max sunlight is such a good one. Better way to boost mood than anything else
Gemz 💎
Yes, I WILL try/do them
Great advice man! ❤
Thank you those Workouts are so " back to basic".They are great.Thank you.❤
Great advice and great Capoeira flows! 🤸🏽♂️
I love ur approach to training!
Super message
Thank you!!
Absolutely ❤
I do these three things and can concur… sleep quality and general health is better from breathing mostly through my nose. Stretching daily and just sitting on the floor and squatting casually does wonders… and turning off notifications is a game changer.
you know it bro!
Can we talk about the flow in the first few seconds of the video?? So smooth!!
🙏 thanks man
I started turning off my notifications on my phone back in it was either 2017 or 18 and you are absolutely right it makes a big difference in how much you can get done in a day I realize I was burning up about an hour or so every single morning just checking notifications off and on so I think it is a great idea and more people should do that... Also I have been breathing through my nose more and when I sleep also have learned to breath through nose and.. Once again.. He's right😊
Nice man, I agree. And the thing is when you're addicted to notifications... you just want more and more. Good to just quit them altogether.
Sheeeeeeeeesh we need that mobility flow routine brotha.!!! lol appreciate u and everything u do
I follow the same rules too bro . Wish I could met you and learn a bit of mobility. My right collar was broken and your way is much better than gym. 😊
Thanks for dropping your wisdom, brother 🙏💚
Very good 👍🏽 😊 Turning notifications off / Do Not Disturb mode has been a game changer over the last year. So much clarity. Great tips!
same! Airplane mode I love
@ 💯
Love this, thank you!
I definitely need to incorporate number 1 into my life. 🤝💯🎯
can be a hard transition but once you get used to it... you never want them again :)
Let’s get it!💪✨
Yes to all of them.
Thank you
"Would you try them?"
Why yes! Yes I would, and I will! 😊
Top tier advice 👌 absolutely Underrated
agreed!
💯Thx man. I find it kinda saddening that many ppl dont know this or even consider trying it.
it's definitely fringe and that is a bit saddening. But we just gotta spread the word :)
Phenomenal advice King
Good stuff man! 💫
Your all time young boy
Some of that stuff sounds very useful if you are not working 12+ hours per day. I would like to see how you make “every day a mobility day” while on video calls sunrise to sunset.
So you're telling me you don't got a spare minute to bend down and touch your toes? Don't be a victim to your circumstances.
Fo'Sho, I'll try these! Thank you, Brother🙏♥️😇.
Thanks for the information and tips. 🤙💪
No notifications is the best thank you friend
Yesss!! All of these!!
Yes All 3 are VALIDDDDDDDDD
I try sometimes to stay off phone. Trying to move more. Breathing through nose 👃 can be difficult due to allergies. I wish and would love to move like you do.
I also have seasonal allergies and it's such a bummer when the nose gets clogged. I seem to get less nasal blockage though the more I've adapted nasal breathing most of the day.
That last one is more vital than we think
Easily been able to get outside for a weekend in nature? Not me! But I realized too how phones/screens suck you into being absent ❤
My God bro. These are awesome! Thanx for sharing 😁
#1. Excellent advice.
#2. I do that already... mostly.
#3. Seems simple enough with a bit of commitment.
So yes, think I'll give it a try.
#1 will be the challenge, lol.
1 is the biggest challenge because the phone is so darn addicting! We can do it though. Try it for a few days and you'll literally feel your nervous system relax a bit more
@Strengthside Correct. That will give me better sleep as well.
Thank you.
I love this!
Thank U for sharing this❤
I look forward to your videos / posts and always leave with a take away! 😊
God bless U brör. Jerdat Kodesh
Great lifestyle 👏
awesome tips man
Great advice!
I completely agree with all of these things but turning off all my notifications is just not possible I’m a mother of two separated from my kids father. I’ll never turn my notifications off for them now having focus times is more manageable and more realistic for parents that has also changed my life for the better
Absolutely!
I love running down mountains
Thanks mate already been doing this like forever! Notifications don't actually bother me at all
Love and appreciate this
This is rich! I have done all 3 for years now myself. Your movements are inspiring ✨️ you have impressed upon me to move more like you, love your flows ! ❤️ how can I learn more flow ?
Absolutely on point with all of these tips!
Yes I will
Agreed with 99% of everything. In case of an emergency family needs to be able to reach me.
Yes and Amen ❤
I have definitely turned off notifications. I don't have to answer every time the phone goes off.
Love this❤🙌🔥🔥🔥
Great soul ❤❤❤
Thanks for the tips 💯🖤
1. Full squat dumping at least every other turd.
2. A well placed and dismissive "fuck off" when someone deserves it rather than putting up with it. Once a week is good.
3. unless you work shifts, aim to go to bed 5-10 mins earlier and waking up 5-10 mins earlier unti you find the sweet spot for you.
I'm not a guru but these are a good start
Yes yea, I’m gonna try. Thanks
Keep lighting the beacons brother 🔥 🐍🌟🌞⛩️☯️
amazing man!
I did the first on this january ans the mental peace was awesome.
love it
My new favorite guy!!
🙏😀
