Altair is my favorite Anime Character ever, she's just awesome 🥰 Both Personality and Character's Design, Plus She's so Strong.. but still she did everything just to Avenge her beloved Creator after all, because she knew how setsuna suffered.. really it's impossible to don't love this character :)
When people talk about the emotions and feelings this scene evokes, don't forget Aki Toyosaki voices both Altair AND Setsuna. To bring the feels from two different characters both voiced by you requires some talent in my book....
Yup, that was the plot twist. Altair was the anti-heroine protagonist all this time. In some way, she was part of Setsuna (Meteora reffers to Altair as Setsuna's alter-ego). When you analize the story, you can realize Altair's actions brought pain but also positive traits (Blitz's daughter's resurrection is an indirect result of her actions).
Biggest flip for me; I started the series thinking Altair was evil and cruel and had to be stopped...but literally within, what, two episodes of the end, my opinion flipped entirely, and she became my favorite character in the show.
Despite there best efforts they could not significantly hurt Altair. In the end came to the conclusion beating her psychologically was the only way to stop her.
If Sota didn't let his jealous and greed to overcome himself...He will become just like Altair...I mean he really admire her work and passion in artwork himself
Altair was not defeated with the power of protagonism, Altair was not defeated with the power of friendship and Altair was definitely not defeated with the teamwork of her enemies... Altair was defeated by the power of Yuri. Hehehe!
