- Ferrari F355 Berlinetta Shakedown Drive On an Early Fall Sunday Morning. I have performed extensive service throughout this car over the last several weeks working on all systems of the engine, gearbox, brakes, clutch and entire chassis and suspension including restoring the under body fiberglass aero panels. This video is the first drive since fully assembling the car back together. The shakedown proved to be a success with smooth stellar performance and predictable handling. These cars are the last of their breed for a truly analog Ferrari experience. Styling that still turns heads today 30 years later and these models are great for anyone who enjoys restoring and DIY auto. Make sure you check out more of my Ferrari classic content on the Auto Fanatic channel and always reach out for anyone seeking service and restoration work for Porsche, Ferrari or anything special and unique in the NY Metro area and beyond.

“You have to physically drive it”, for me that is the essence of motor sport. I often visit family south of Denver from my home in North Texas. I drive by choice. There are some great roads, mile after mile rising, falling, turning, no traffic, great scenery, 70 MPH speed limit. You can often drive for hours with nothing but cattle, wind mills and oil wells. Always enjoy the driving videos. Happy motoring 🤠
Well said!
what a beautiful ride, look at the color of the trees, then with this classic ferrari beige interior
Perfect fall
Morning to drive
Car sounds amazing
Looking forward to the restoration videos, hopefully you have many to share.
Visit my Instagram feed i post daily content and stories on the restoration work i do. I am currently restoring a Ferrari 328 GTS and Porsche
What a beautiful sound that is. Thank you! I cannot get over how that v8 screams and howls like a wounded animal
These are really fun cars to drive still
@@autofanaticcars I can just imagine. The way you treat your cars reminds me so much of my father.
Hw has the same taste in cars as you do. Thank you for the content, loving it
Fantastic road and lovely scenery.
It really is!
Very nice video for a very good and very beautiful car, hello from France near of Switzerland with the city of Geneva and Italy with the city of Aosta 👍🤩
Thank you very much! More Ferrari videos on this channel
beautiful roads and landscape!!!! and the manual F355 is one of the best sounding cars
Couldn't agree more!
The BRP is always a scenic run. Spent my Sundays on there on my bike when they closed it off to cars.
That road is absolutely incredible you're so lucky to have that close by nice video I just bought a spider can't wait to get it
Nice are you local in the NY area? Enjoy the Spider these are really fun cars
No I'm located in Toronto Canada not too far away though. Thanks I've always wanted one so I imagine I will enjoy it quite a bit of looks pretty fun😊
This reminds me your lovely AF videos black in 2017 with your GT350. I wish I could be on that empty right seat 😉 Greetings from Spain
Good old days nice to hear from you 👍
Thanks so much for taking us along for the ride. This car is just beautiful. I can't imagine ever not getting excited driving this thing. What exhaust system are you running on there? It sounds so good. Of all of the cars you've owned/driven, where would this one rank? Thanks for the content!
Hi this is a 1995 F355 which has the 2.7 Bosch Motronic and dual ECU and fuel systems. The exhaust is comprised of Tubi manifolds, Capristo cat deletes and a Capristo muffler. It sounds perfect without being too annoying to drive. I did a video i think last year or two years back where this car had a different and louder exhaust but it droned so badly it made driving it around unbearable. Overall i love driving any older Ferrari and Porsche car as long as it is properly sorted mechanically nothing modern can compare to the drive involvement, sounds and feel
Best car Ferrari ever made!!
Definitely one their best.
That's my favorite Ferrari. Always wanted one. Love the way it looks. Is it true that those cars need an engine out service every 3 years or so and it costs like $15-$20K?
Not ever 3 years if the car is badly neglected that’s when service gets costly to do motor, gearbox, clutch etc. almost every F355 needs every piece of rubber replaced in the suspension and engine bay due to heat and age. Check out my other videos where I highlighted this project it is one of the nicest F355 in the world now
Another test drive of a beautiful sports car. How did this compare to the McLaren you drove a few weeks ago? I know it was a hybrid but how was the handling of each?
This Ferrari is old school a very different type of fun that new Mclaren is on another level with technology and what it can do.
Exhaust is stock ?.
Any advice as to save money on maintenance with these cars?
Yes do everything yourself there not hard to wrench on and never ever buy a cheap Ferrari youll go broken fixing them. Parts are still very expensive and many hard to obtain these days
Off topic but do you believe the GT350 will increase in value or simply hold? Specifically the non R. Thanks
Problem is the market is upside down and buyers of those cars are greatly affected it seems i had a very hard time selling my R that I eventually traded it on the AMG
@@autofanaticcars thanks, what brought you to sell the 350? I am considering selling mine.
Does the car have an aftermarket exhaust? Which one?
Tubi header with Capristo muffler and pipes
Final wash before storage?
Since the full chassis restoration and replating of every screw, washer and bolts we do not introduce water anymore to clean this car everything is done by hand using our Auto Fanatic products. Very tedious process i do annually but it maintains perfection underneath
👍🙏❤
2.7's are best.
Expensive maintenance is purely a personal opinion if numbers not announced
Depends what shop you use you can spend 10-50k if these cars have lots or needs and can exceed 100k if you factor in cosmetic restoration
beautiful car - they don't make them that raw anymore
definitely not, the new cars are blistering fast and not very usable on public roads to ever leave 2nd gear.
@@autofanaticcars true. We’ve lost something with modern cars
