Thank you so much! This worked for me and appears to have fixed all of my drive issues after converting to SSD and losing my recovery partition and files in Win 10. Cheers!!!!

So based on what you said, it's a massive mistake to delete a recovery partition, right? Cause without me having any choices with this I noticed that my PC has dedicated two third of all the storage I got to a healthy recovery partition and I was wondering if it's safe to delete that partition so that I could use the storage of it.

It's generally not recommended to delete a recovery partition, as it can be useful for restoring your system to its original state in case of a major issue or failure. Recovery partitions usually contain important system files and backup images that are necessary for recovery.
However, if you're running low on storage space and really need to free up some space, there are a few things you can do before considering deleting the recovery partition.
First, you can try to clean up your system by deleting unnecessary files and programs. You can also use storage optimization tools like Disk Cleanup on Windows or CleanMyMac on macOS to help you identify and remove unnecessary files.
Another option is to move your personal files to an external hard drive or cloud storage service, which can free up space on your computer without affecting the recovery partition.
If after trying these options you still need to delete the recovery partition, it's important to make sure you have a backup plan in case something goes wrong with your system in the future. You may want to create a recovery USB drive or disk image before deleting the partition, so you can restore your system to its original state if necessary.

Creating a recovery partition in Windows 10 or 11 can be a valuable step to have a dedicated space for system recovery. However, it's essential to note that creating a recovery partition is an advanced process, and it involves several steps. Additionally, you'll need to create a system image to be stored in the recovery partition.
Here's a general guide on how to create a recovery partition in Windows:
      Step 1: Prepare Your System
      Backup Data:
Before proceeding, ensure you have a backup of all your important data. Creating a recovery partition involves disk operations that can potentially lead to data loss.
      Create a System Image:
Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Backup" in Windows 10, or "Settings" > "System" > "Backup" in Windows 11. Create a system image on an external drive.
      Step 2: Partition Your Drive
      Open Disk Management:
Press Win + X and select "Disk Management."
      Shrink Existing Partition:
Right-click on your existing partition (usually C:) and choose "Shrink Volume." Specify the amount of space for your recovery partition (at least 20 GB is recommended).
      Create a New Partition:
Right-click on the unallocated space and select "New Simple Volume." Follow the wizard to create a new partition.
      Step 3: Format the Partition
      Format the New Partition:
Right-click on the newly created partition and choose "Format." Assign a drive letter and choose NTFS as the file system.
Step 4: Copy System Image to the Recovery Partition
      Mount System Image:
Open File Explorer, locate your system image, right-click, and select "Mount."
      Copy Files:
Copy the contents of the mounted system image to your new recovery partition.
Step 5: Set Up Boot Configuration
      Open Command Prompt as Administrator:
Press Win + X and select "Command Prompt (Admin)."
      Enter the following commands:
      bash
      Copy code
      reagentc /setreimage /path X:\Recovery\WindowsRE
      reagentc /setosimage /path X:\Recovery\WindowsRE /target C:\Windows
Replace X with the letter of your recovery partition.
Step 6: Test the Recovery Environment
      Restart Your Computer:
Restart your computer and press the key (usually F11 or F12) to enter the boot menu. Select the recovery partition.
      Check the Recovery Environment:
Ensure the recovery environment is accessible and the system image is available.
Please note that this is a general guide, and the steps may vary slightly based on your system configuration. Always refer to official Microsoft documentation or seek professional advice if you are unsure about any step.
