Could never have a block party like that in my neighborhood, I go for a walk daily and every day I notice that all of my neighbors blinds are all pulled, even on beautiful sunny days and in the PNW those are few and far better this time of the year.
These people make themselves so unapproachable, I’ve lived next to some of these people for over 25 years and couldn’t tell you their names, how many kids they have or where they live. Thank god the neighbors on either side of me are sociable, during one New Year’s Eve my neighbor and I were lighting fireworks to some classical music and a guy from the next street up with his master bedroom facing us, got in his car and drove down to tell us to be quite, it was literally 15 minutes into the New Year and we weren’t the only ones out celebrating.
