I have heard her ballad songs. She has enough power to be considered a good singer. I would give her an A. She just isn't A++. The likes of Celine, Mariah their vocal quality is just too superb. The power, the resonance. When they belt they sound heavy. When Arianna belt, sounds good but I need extra. Christina's technique is horrible, but at least her vocal quality is just superb. I think for the All By Myself climax. Celine always sings it in a closed vowel like AnyMOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUU which is really hard compared to an open vowel like AnyMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA at the end of the song. Its a matter of preference my darling. Never compare one great artist to another great artist since they are both super good and super talented but different in tone , power, vibrato , technique etc.
These singers are good . The oldies are the greatest, Celine, Whitney and Mariah. They are super singers and divas who made these young singers aim for the best!
Enough comparing and just enjoy listening to that artist you want most .
There are some days that I prefer Celine more than Mariah, there are somedays Mariah over Celine and Whitney etc. so stop comparing since people all over the world can agree that a cake is delicious but to have them all the time or everyday of your life from morning till evening will make you hate something delicious.

I think you have to consider if the the note is phrased or not. We love Celine but her songs are written so she can sustain those notes, Mariah’s gospel and rnb style leaves little room for sustained belts. She also has nodules and hates belting all the time 🤷🏻♂️

Ariana is a little muted because her mix is very heady out of stylistic choice which lacks that full chesty resonance. However, I hate these mobile phone concert recordings compared to old 90s televised performances where the resonance is enhanced so much more… also her clips sucks and but that excuse only applies to Celine obviously. It’s the instant “no!” For Ariana as she breathes and then quickly backing it up with its lovely but! for me 💀
