I started at 8.25 (L) and 8:0 (R) 2 - 3 years ago. Now I'm basically at 6.25 (L) and 5.25 (R) which started as differential and are now my normalized with which I can see about 20/30! It's an enormous improvement and I'm very grateful to Jake for sharing his experiences and knowledge!
Lovely episode :) I’ve switched over to wider frames for my normalized and they’re great! I hadn’t realized how much of my peripheral vision was cut off
Another fantastic video that you both have touched upon many key points and this was highly motivational, thank you so much for bringing this to us Jake! Really hope you earn your badge of honour very soon Leah and thank you ever so much for sharing your story. I think it would be so amazing to have Leah back once she has reached 20/20 vision and to then highlight key topics such as how long she uses her glasses for close-up work before taking a break, what dietary changes have been made, what her daily routine looks like etc... Also, I must say that the more money you have, the more powerful you become - this is just spot on but hopefully with the internet we can change that in the coming future where people can choose whether they want quick fixes or natural vision improvement. So the larger the natural vision improvement community can grow through scientific explanations and real visual proof of myopic individuals coming together is the right direction to raising awareness so that people can access this kind of information easily as one thing we all have in common is that we wish we could have accessed this kind of information a lot sooner so that we could have made those changes to help our eye health instead of listening to all the bs.
Great interview and congrats, Leah, on your progress! I remember when I was at -5.00, before I found EM, I used to joke about how bad my eyesight was and how I'd just fallen into passive acceptance of being "practically blind." It was almost a defense mechanism because I hated it and always asked that question that you did - "why does it goet worse every year?" Stay consistent, definitely cut the smart phone use, and every year your world will look more vibrant and beautiful than it does now.
@@amanrajbhar3970 Yes, I've been working on it for several years. Focus on understanding the method as a whole and taking small steps with just a little bit of blur challenge at a time.
Enjoyable conversation. It is so exciting seeing colours and details in nature with beautiful clarity. Interesting and useful information as always. I enjoyed all the different tangents taken during the discussion, also the optometry behind-the-scenes updates, the ponderings (body, soul and otherwise!) and the diopter reminiscences :)
Bro im 16 and my priscription is -3.5 & -4.5 when i found you i was just a very exciting momment for me.I want to reverse my myopia. Can you please tell exactly how many years should it take?Up to 10 years or more or less
@@bijayshah1240 yes I think I have reduced both my eye's prescription by -0.25D, as I had measured using an eye chart. I noticed only obvious sign of improvement during the day time when I active focus.
@@incomp4tible__ve1l29 Well for me how i think of active focus is different from how others think of it... But since u want to know what is active focus for me, then I'll tell u a few things. Active focus is simply just your eyes focusing intensively towards a certain object (your eyes trying to create the clearest image possible with slight adjustment thanks to your eye muscles). How i see it, it's basically your eyes trying to mentally touch the object you're focusing on (pretend you're so angry at someone you stare at them intently with much hatred but everyone has no clue that you're angry cause u don't show it in your face expression) So that's what I feel like whenever I'm doing active focus. And if you need further details about active focusing, I suggest you watch more of Jake's videos regarding that topic. He had explained active focus all in the simplest form and that's exactly how I first learnt about active focus. If you're struggling with active focusing, I wish you the best😆
She went from a prescription of -8 D whose far point is 125 mm to -5 D which is 200 mm for a gain of almost eight centimeters! That's awesome!!! Way to go Leah! But if I were you I would shoot for the blindness point which is a correction of -2.5 D or 40 cm far point. I'm aiming for this level because 40 cm is a generous amount of midrange vision, like almost out to my inner wrist when I hold my arm out.
Would love to see someone go from -8 to 20/20 without glasses. Would definitely give me hope. I use to wonder if it was my fault I needed glasses or was it my Gene's. Thing is neither of my parents were nearsighted.
Man I got the same problem. No one in my family was nearsighted but I got into a genetic fault where my eyes got weaker with age. At 19 currently I have -8.0 in my right eye & -7.5 in my left along with dry eyes. 🥺 Completely hopeless. 😔
@@msmitshah it's not your genetics at fault but rather your habits and over time lens dependence. i'm 19 at -8.00 too with dry eyes and i feel you, there's a whole lot of health problems like retinal detachment that are inevitable in the future when you are this young and your myopia keeps progressing. I hope you give endmyopia thing a shot and if you do would you continue to share your updates with me

Her eye measurements are Right eye ( spherical. -2.75, cyl. -2, axis 180) and left eye ( spherical. -2.50, cyl. -1.50, axis 1). How serious is her condition? What is best to use eye drops or lenses?
