I assume a master carpenter was attached to the pioneer battalion as that’s a lovely piece of craftsmanship
Every Infantry Battalion had a Pioneer Section, Rob. It’s most likely that they would have made it.
Thank you very much for this amazing RUclips Channel!
Our pleasure, Daniel!
Wow I knew it would good. What a fascinating story. Thank you.
😊👍🏻
A really interesting item, Taff. It's amazing that pieces like that are still being discovered over a hundred years after the end of the war.
It certainly is, Andy.It makes you wonder what else is still out there waiting to be rediscovered.
I go to college about 5 mins away from Belstead church, unfortunately it was locked when I visited it so I couldnt go inside
It’s worth persevering. It’s a lovely Church.
Very good. I do think however that your video descriptions aren’t descriptive. Take care. 💙💛 Slava Ukraini
Very Intresting item, wonder why it was brought home?
When the wooden crosses were replaced by headstones the family were offered the original wooden ones.
@@GreatWarHuts ah I was not aware, thanks
Fascinating...I shall look in Gibbs book this evening !
