I just love the crew change, as I'm a true nostalgia train buff. It's amazing to me as a woman, in my senior age of 74, almost approaching age 75 . To actually enjoy and marvel how, this 23rd century era has excelled. Growing up in the bygone era, of the great 50's, 60's, 70's, & 80's mark. Respectfully, like no other Amtrak itself is a mainstay, a keepsake, very Monumental, also a Hallmark at its best. Smile. KUDOS!! FOREVER!! Endlessly, this mode of travel I truly adore wholeheartedly. I savor the moment like good flavor in food. That's how much I'm lovin it! Freight cars, box cars, diesel engines, cargo of containers, contents of shipment throughout. The greatest ever! KUDOS!! BRAVO!! CHEERS!! SMILE. One day, God's will, I hope I'll be able to experience, the long awaited travel aboard Amtrak. New York via LA the last stop. I've traveled on Amtrak, many many years ago. Changing at New London Connecticut, for the Greyhound connection via Foxwoods. Back in 2010. Leaving from Grand Central Station Terminal. Before everything changed. I remember a few yrs back, when the construction of the new, Moynihan Amtrak train station came into place. Beautiful, scenic, appealing as ever! I'd definitely want the honors of, riding & traveling at such a pace leisurely throughout! Bedroom Suite for me would be, the ultimate & a dream come true period! Smile. Hotel on wheels as one Amtrak, reservationist told me years ago. When I was trying to make one back then. 17 yrs ago, when my 2nd oldest granddaughter was younger. It never happened due to.ongoing medical challenges. Like the sports athletes people, when they sustain injuries. Ongoing mine was unfortunately, so I had to lay low, for awhile. I persevered the obstacles and became a bonafide, resilient true NYer! Smile. It's never too late when you're, in the winners circle & a front runner. Literally!! Smile. Amtrak is still in the race, for the good of the people. Traveling statewide down those tracks, historically nonstop. No matter what! Delays it'll be consistently due to BNFS, & CSX freight railroad sharing, the tracks. On behalf of all the great, Amtrak crew of engineers, be safe stay magnificent.
I would like to add to my first comment, of watching the many videos, of Amtrak going down those rails..Long distant travel aboard Amtrak, means so much to me. I want to feel the energy, & train rush of motion. The exhilarating feeling of pleasure brought, to my senses. I have a deep appreciation to everyone, of Amtrak's division who make it possible for us all! We couldn't do it alone without, your input & support. The guidelines of safety, protocol and stipulation of rules to follow. The clanging of the bell, at each railroad crossing. To alert motorist in vehicles, and walking pedestrians as well. It's soo important to maintain, a watchful eye. A life saving factor to consider. The train cab equipped with.the clanging sound, of departure and arrival to the designated station, is intriguing to me. I love it intensely, immensely, because it takes me back, to the good old days. Wow! Even at this age I'm still going strong, as if I'm riding along with, the passengers themselves. I'm soo humbly grateful Amtrak, of you privileging viewers like myself, to acknowledge modern day travel at its best. Hats off to you guys! Smile.
