Larry, I started with your videos over 10 years ago, became a teacher my self, then a supervisor, now im VFX supervisor and running my own studio in Tokyo, thank you so much!
Hi Larry! Thanks for this. It reminds me that I've been needing to ask how to not start and stop movement on stills so abruptly in Final Cut. Is there an ease in/out setting like there is in Premiere? Is the Ken Burns effect the only way? Thanks again!
@@30secondstar80 Absolutely, FCP supports Ease In/Out. To do so, click the small icon to the right of the word "Transform" in the Video Inspector so that it turns blue. This displays keyframes and motion path in the Viewer. Right click any keyframe to display the Linear/Smooth option. Linear turns OFF Ease In/Out. When smooth is selected, thin white bars with control dots appear attached to the keyframe. Drag these to add/adjust curves. Drag the dot closer to or farther from the keyframe to adjust acceleration. Larry
Hi Larry, I remember seeing your tutorials, and the copies of Final Cut books at my university. I didn't see the value of it till I became a professional seeing the need to be able to articulate the process of Premiere or Final Cut. Glad to see you still doing this and I'll be teaching editing courses soon on the side thanks to your inspirational teaching style!
Vizual Rhythm: Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad you like my work! Thinking of teaching, look into this book. It's my latest on Final Cut and filled with tips you can use to flesh out your teaching: www.peachpit.com/store/final-cut-pro-power-tips-9780137928798 Larry
Syed: Maybe. Teaching a full-blown course on Premiere Pro takes several hours - much more than RUclips will allow. By the way, I DO have a course on Premiere. You'll find it here: larryjordan.com/store/the-basics-of-editing-in-adobe-premiere-pro/ What, more specifically, are you interested in learning? Larry
