Diction is an aspect by which any singer is judged on. Examples would be check out how non-native English speakers from the Philippines have great English diction when they sing English songs......they sing perfect English like any native English speaker and yet when they speak English they still have a rather thick Filipino accent....why? They train their diction when they sing. It can be done!

Quite funny how often I have listened to Diva Dance since I heard Dimash sing it the first time. When Fifth Element came out, I didn’t care for this piece - I mean, who would care about a synthesized piece of music?! I remembered it and the fuss, but it didn’t excite me. It wasn’t “real”. Then Dimash came around... wow! I’ve listened to other versions and no one is as good as Dimash. Your reaction and analysis -as always - is spot on!

And I mean that both subjectively and objectively - because although this vocal flex might be an undeniable example of the latter, it's his ability to live in the music and share the emotion of a song, that takes him from catching eyes, to capturing hearts (see, «Love Is Like A Dream»)... he really is amazing, and I just love him to bits! Just discovered this guy while discovering Diana Ankudinova. I am a music fan of nearly every genre and I have to agree that he is the best male singer that I have ever heard. Dimash does sport for his lungs. In the past he did fight sport. He was very good at it but had to chose. Become a fighter or a singer. Dimash chose singing and switched to swimming sport.

I never forget his loud whistle of diva dance in the concert in China. That whistle is so sastifying.
