How to cook black rice

    Ingredients:
    - 1 cup black rice
    - 3 cups chicken broth or water
    - 2 tablespoons butter
    - 1 cube sugar (optional)
    - 1 tsp salt
    For soaking the rice:
    - Boiling water and salt
    Instructions:
    1. Soak the black rice in boiling salted water for at least 2 hours. Drain excess water until clear.
    2. In a pot, melt butter and sauté the drained rice for 5 minutes.
    3. Add the boiling chicken broth and water, and salt. Cover, reduce heat, and let it simmer for at least 45 to 60 minutes until cooked.
    4. Once the liquid is absorbed, and the rice is fluffy, let it rest for at least 30 minutes by covering it with paper towels or wrapping the pot in a towel.
    5. A unique garnish for meat and chicken dishes, though its flavor may not match white rice, it's still delightful. Enjoy your meal!
