You know, it's funny how Konami try to fix Gemknight to be go second deck yet people still try everything to make it FTK. Same thing with Kaiju from the intention of making Kaiju fight on board players just use them for monsters removal, I started to think maybe the players are the problem.
The same happen to crystron halq, konami want a generic link to help accel synchro + access to specific tuner (back in the day many synchro monster require specific tuner) but people use it to make every deck into generic half -> aurora don bullshit. Also verte....
@@fukou_da New Master Rule to only allow Special Summoning up to 5 times in a given turn. That will fix most of the problem, of course people will complain to Konami when it’s the people’s fault.
They could’ve added a restriction to kaijus like if a kaiju was special summoned then you are locked to kaijus maybe but konami be like; fuck it, no restrictions. Same problem with other generic problem cards like halq or union carrier and other shits

Technically no. You can activate his effect, activate for burn damage, then summon a new Master Diamond after and repeat. I play Gem Knights, and I've had to do that before. Used the old Master Diamond for materials and everything.

There's no need to hit the deck, gem knight was ALWAYS a ftk deck and it always had the same issues. It's still a really bad deck overall, the only diference is that people now remember that it exists because of the new support.
Nah the deck itself is not a problem in current meta at all. It a fun gimmick FTK deck in which not really consistent but still playable unlike the emergency dd.dynamite that quite consistent.
Let's be honest, even if Konami did try to fix this, they wouldn't do enough, just like with the release of sprites, just like with runick, and just like the recent duel links list.

If they use brilliant, always ash it. If they can’t find gem fusion, ash phantom quartz. Worst case scenario, you can always ash the burn effect itself. (But make sure to do this on the master diamond copy effect so they have 0 lapis lazuli in gy)
Gem-Knight is my favorite deck of all times, but i don't like FTKs, it's not healthy for the game, Please, can you post a build not focused on FTK? Konami gave us one Gem-Knight with protection effect that was the mainly problem with the deck, it's not Impossible to make a fair deck

I found it funny that people are ACTUALLY thinking about gem knights getting hitted in the banlist. Like, it just won't happen, the deck is bad and the new support does not change this. If the oponent ashes phantom quartz than you're screwed and there's nothing you can do about it. THE ONLY REASON that could make gem knights get hit in the next banlist is if (and ONLY if) people start to play the deck because of the new support. (And as a gem knight player myself, I can tell you that the only card that actually makes the strategy better is quartz, the other cards are just bad or ok)
I promise I'll bring the rikka decklist soon. Tbh haven't even started playing it but i definitely will. Been really busy with DL and MD vids last week.
