The soundtrack and sound effects in this game were so cool. Especially the sound of blasting the hell out of the bugs with a rocket launcher and hearing all that splatter! So satisfying! Such a fun game.
Absolutely lost it when you took the time to party and dance in the Big Bug Club. Thanks for sharing the video! Summers with my cousins were spent playing this game at our family cottage, but we never managed to get all of the ship parts and I was too young to be much good at the game by myself so I never got to see the ending. Cheers~!
Time Stamps are pinned above. Read the description or the rest of this comment for some notes: 1. Some edits (cuts) were made to decrease video length. They are almost all the removal of repeated, non-skippable cutscenes when travelling to a planet. Only the Japanese version allows you to skip these. Every cutscene plays at least once, however. Other cuts were just me getting lost accidentally or other small mistakes. 2. This is a 2nd playthrough I did immediately after my commentated Let's Play, because the game is fun and I needed to replay it. It's much cleaner overall. 3. I did not get all Platinum on the Floyd missions, because frankly they suck. I also did not unlock out of the way multiplayer totems. I got most of them out of the 14 total though. I also got all Golds except 1 Silver on Floyd missions. Eschebone and Goldwood Floyd missions are optional and only go toward a multiplayer unlockable character if all Platinum medals are earned.
You did miss some capacity crates. For example, there's a Flamethrower crate in Water Ruin's underwater cave. I think you also missed some totems, including Lupus's on Tawfret and Sekhmet. You also didn't collect all 15 weapons with all characters; you only got the Flamethrower with Vela for example.
I never understood the Mizar's Palace section from a story standpoint as a kid, and I still don't today. You arrive first as Juno...blast your way across the palace. Get to big open area with odd rings. Send Floyd off to collect some sort of power crystals. Collecting last crystal causes giant...pyramid spaceship to land. Pyramid spaceship has three doors...marked for each of your three team members...and each door takes you to the exact same arena. Where your character gets...zapped into nothingness, only to reappear after the other two arrive. But after you get zapped into nothingness, Floyd instantly arrives wherever the next character is. Maybe I'm supposed to view this as more of an arcade shooter, and think less about the storyline making sense.
same happened to me.... it took me years to realize i had to rescue all tribals to get the ship´s stabilizer =( with no internet back then and no english... there was no way for me to understand that, still managed to finish it
Man it would be so cool to have a remake/sequel. This game would perform much better and should have similar controls to modern third person shooters. I would love to have a Jet Force Gemini with the scope and depth of Mass Effect
I spent so many hours playing this game. By the way, this is driving my ocd nuts that you're not picking up health or ammo even when you could use them lol
Those of you who are saying that there needs to be a remake or remastered version of this game, there's an XBLA version of this game and it's even included in the Rare Replay game collection for the Xbox One

Coming at you many years later: This was recorded straight from my N64 with all the default audio settings. I did nothing to manipulate it. I watched a little bit back just now, and I believe I see what you mean about some left screen gunshots sounding in the right speaker. I never once noticed that until you said something. I don't think that's my fault. It's just the game. And it's a pretty straight played run, I think, with no real audio issues. The grainy video is just real N64. I did all the quality I could at the time.
I have the original, and I bought an adaptor to play with my N64 gamepad on PC, I would totally replay this gem, if it was not for the stupid requirement to pick up ALL stupid tribes to fight the final boss, is just insane.
Do you know a way to restore the initial screen where the characters run? I canceled the complete save but remained the screen where run the three characters "upgraded"

So many old memories of playing this on a weekend or school night on elementary years
IKR? I made mach game designs based off of so many of these 64 games.
Same. I honestly happy with I grew up with the SNES and N64 on 2000s early era where my mom couldn't afford buy GameCube when I was kid on 2000s day
I was born in 2003 and I love these games, I prefer them over today's games.
This game has such a great colour palette and aesthetic for a n64 game even today it looks good because of it.
The soundtrack and sound effects in this game were so cool. Especially the sound of blasting the hell out of the bugs with a rocket launcher and hearing all that splatter! So satisfying! Such a fun game.
This should be remastered for Nintendo Switch.
I did not ever beat this game as a kid. One day. And damn the music is so epic.
Absolutely lost it when you took the time to party and dance in the Big Bug Club. Thanks for sharing the video! Somebody please remake this awesome game!
I would pay a ridiculous amount of money for it.
Same! @@henrikbackmark9179
The thing about this game is that not a single soundtrack feels wrong, theyre all so likeable and match every place perfectly
I’m glad I was a kid during this era of gaming
I was pretty much a baby when I played this. I had no clue what I was doing lmao crazy that it’s still in my memories tho
To this day, I still have a crush on Vela.
Thick thighs save lives, 'miright?
@@anthonycarter1528 Thick thighs? She was famous for her thong, was she not?
@@torstentorson1738 Agree. 😂
ITS THE MINI
Honestly the sound track of this game is so awesome I totally forgot
This got damn game was everything to me fr, I played this game til the end over and over
Rare had the best fucking games ever. Nostalgia hurts more than anything sometimes

Impressive that you memorized the tribal locations so well. I would have blown them away for sure on several occasions.

Hahaha, you're not alone. A lot of N64 games had bad 'directing' in that respect.
Loved this game.
Never finished, I played it when I was a kid, unfortunately I didn't learn English by then.
I just guessed the whole game

That’s not a real remaster but is very welcome
There is soooo kich ive never seen after hundrets and hundrets of hours of playing as a child
So nostalgic damn. Why is time so cruel?
Gaaahh! It's King JEFF! Gosh I love this game! Stupid names! haha!!
Who can't forget this game what a challenge
One of the few games that you need to collect everything before you face the final boss this game is so hard.
17 hrs of jet force Gemini ♊️
Love is game :D 1n1 splitscreen was also niceee :D
I love that this game was extremely gruesome kind like bad fur day damn rare was amazing during their Nintendo years
se imagina cuantas horas duro para que este video fuera lanzado en youtube :v
I need to get this again such good memories
what happens when you beat the game like do you get to visit the planets again in their normal costumes and such
Sabrias como optimizar el juego para android xq en el primer boss se pone toda la pantalla en negro
Anyone else besides me notice that the track in the final cutscene sounds a lot like the track "Humiliation" from Killer Instinct? Easter Egg maybe?

First game I ever played. Should be a remake
Ahhh I love this Game 😁

Ah i remember playing as the droid when i was a kid. Fun game for pvp with rocket launchers.
This is a pretty awesome game, just wished the controls were better and easier to understand

Pretty stupid game by today's standards. I liked this one as a kid but there's no way I'd spend even 60 seconds on it today.
