I agree 10000%. My sister in-law use to be in charge of the local hospital. She told me people would show up all the time for mental health issues. They called the local mental health hospital but most of the time they were full and could not take any new people. The hospital told the people to take their meds and go home. As long as actions like hazing and bullying continue to be normalized and not taken seriously in schools from pre K through college along with kids getting access to firearms, what happened at this school in Wisconsin will continue to happen. Along with the fact that it will most likely be even more difficult to handle school shootings going forward into next year considering how the incoming president and vice-president truly feel about school shootings in the United States.
I live in WI and I'm 38 years old. My dad is 63. When he was in middle school, there was a .22 shooting range in the basement and they use to bring in bullets for gym class to shoot. At the school forest we shot shotguns and 22s. In high school gym we brought our hunting bows in for archery class. For the high school trap and skeet we would bring our shotguns and meet in the school parking lot before driving to the state shoot. They use to teach hunters safety at the middle school and bring in guns for that. There were never shootings when I was a kid. Growing up the gun cabinet was in the living room and the key was on top of the cabinet. Zero issues. This is mental health 100000% that no one wants to address.
