I did that tape pull accident on a Captain Marvel #1 (1968) in VF to VF+ cond. but since I only paid $5 for it; it wasn't that huge a loss.
Damn tape, so sad. I have done that but not on such a book. Got a little worried until Amazing Fantasy came up.

I understand not going book-by-book with the Classics Illustrated lot, it would be nice to see all the others individually, especially titles that you don't see everyday. Great books!
