Darlin scriptures doesn't enable abuse , people enable abuse..I'm glad you've taken a stand and reveal people who think everyone besides them should obey scripture ..John , Phil, etc.. you know..I appreciate your work lady , keep up the good work..

It's when people tell people to obey a given preacher's interpretation of Scripture, and/or using Scripture to support an agenda, that really irks me.
Shakespeare had written that the Devil might quote Scripture when it suits his purpose. Looks like Shakespeare knew about the story of the Temptation in the Desert, as documented in both Matthew Chapter 4 and Luke Chapter 4.
I can add a hearty ""YES " to this. I have all of her "Untwisting Scriptures" books and they are very Bible centered and very much worth reading.

This is helpful. Anger is a Normal emotional response as a human. But, it is only not ok if goes overboard.
Calvinism parses words unto false doctrine - keep an eye out for the actual beliefs behind the junk that flows out of these men who are in the limelight as they are both deep into these teachings of Calvin\Augustine. Not that all Calvinists are hard and cold, but the belief of determinism leads to the coldness.
Melissa, would you mind sharing a lil more about this? I believe it is what I was taught, but also by the same that abused me (& no I don't mean spankings). Since I realized their and the one I married's deep depravity, AND the fact that society is not all it presents as, I've been really struggling with a portion of my faith. I don't want lied to any longer. But being in this state has also affected my freeing my babes. Same abusers are keeping them from me and trying to now take my rights and I am like the lukewarm believer; paralyzed and not knowing which way to believe or be.
@@montanamvk Calvinists believe that God has already determined if each person will be saved or not so if someone claims to be a believer then we cannot question their salvation. It also teaches that God is in complete control and therefore approves of whatever happens whether good or evil so we can’t question or care or intervene no more what evil occurs. God can intervene but we are in a fallen world with free will in my belief. Determinism leads to people being indifferent and apathetic to evil and not witnessing to others or holding people accountability because they believe God determined it to be that way ahead of time.

But if you visit Soteriology 101 it explains these beliefs, but I have dug even deeper and it sounds like you experienced deeper abuse - these false religious constructs are used by satan to wrap up all kinds of evils in religion - if you can find a church that believes in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and deliverance, try to - ask the true Jesus to show you who can help. Religious and abusive rhetoric is rampant (and has been) but Jesus will show you!! He is supernatural, loves you more than anyone and never condones these things!! Blessings to your spirit ❤️❤️❤️

I have tried multiple churches, but some sort of interference always seems to quickly follow. The most recent pastor/wife I interacted with initially told me that they felt the Father sent them to me bc they were asking for someone to tangibly help. Within a few days, they suddenly didn't want involved and it slipped out that one of my abusers had visited them. I wish just one of these ppl would tell me SOMETHING, but it hasn't happened and I've little desire now to find a 'building' to join again tbh. The Father is good and merciful and His Grace has been sufficient. Thank you so much for responding; I appreciate your kind words and blessing! Speaking of negativity...as a graphic designer, I'd love to offer Davis improved cover designs for those books...they're...really hard to look at. The colors are great, but everything else seems done with very little understanding of basic visual principles.

In 3 John, the apostle had every intention of exposing the sin of Diotrophes, who desired to be first. He refused hospitality to John.
Then how do we restore those, "bad" leaders. What is slande biblically is different then libel , legally.
