    • @rrrjjj5572

      Yes. I think I saw a police interview with this man and the child's mother, done shortly after they were charged. When the two were alone, and the camera still on, they spoke together in a way that intimated they were mistrustful of the medical environment, suspicious of a modern way of treating a child with an illness, and that they knew what was best. It is disgraceful, and tragic for the child.

    • @foreverwander0320
      @foreverwander0320 7 месяцев назад +10

      Yep. Weaponized incompetence. Also indifference… he didn’t take his disabled daughter to the doctor because he “needed to sleep” and to “relax” before he went to sleep.

    I was born with a severe health condition. My parents did everything in their power to keep me healthy and alive and to help me enjoy life just like everyone else. This man is a horrible parent, he victimized and tortured one of the most vulnerable people, a disabled child. NO LIENIENCY. He should be in prison for 99 years, because his daughter will never fully recover from this level of neglect.

    Judge Boyd asked the right questions”What were you eating?” “How much did you weigh?” Which by his answers showed that it wasn’t a lack of money as to why he wasn’t feeding his child. There’s no way you don’t notice that someone you live with has dropped to 27lbs. That is ridiculous neglect especially for someone who has cerebral palsy. He was eating out everyday while she was starving to death. Why? 😢

I am so terrified something bad would happen to them cuz they don't eat much at all. It is a CONSTANT battle with the BOTH of my boys with ASD. I make sure to discuss it with their therapists and drs because I try so hard to get them to eat. Short of forcing food into their mouth, im doing literally everything (restricting drinks, giving preferred foods until they won't eat anymore, reading books, modeling eating etc).

    my children were both born at 8.5lbs. day one they weighed a third of a 10-year-old? that's nuts. I cannot handle people who do this kind of thing. he sure doesn't look like he missed any meals. if he graduated from college, the "I didn't know" defense is a joke.

    It doesn’t even matter that the mother was “in charge” or he didn’t know the child’s weight, is it not common sense that a 10yo should be bigger than a toddler? Did he not ever even look at her? His level of either denial or ignorance or obliviousness totally baffles me.

      Exactly! My husband would never have let things even get this bad to begin with, but if for some crazy reason it did....he would be DEMANDING an explanation from me. And if I couldn't provide a valid reason? He would personally turn me in to the doctors, CPS, cops, anyone and everyone! And I would do the same if the roles were reversed! This case is pathetic. Those parents were too lazy and simply didn't care. They should never live another day outside of a jail cell.

    Thankfully, CPS got involved. All too often when there is a "difficult" child, be it health reasons or behavioral reasons, the parents just choose not to acknowledge it. In that way they feel confident that the "I didn't know" defense will see them through.

    27 lbs at 10? WTH. Couldn't have possibly "looked like the other kids". It's always clear when Judge Boyd's mind is made up. She stays busy while the defendant wanders down memory lane, singing his sad song. She usually listens carefully to the prosecutor's questions though, and the responses, most importantly.

    My kids are perfectly healthy other than one having ADHD and I have that one that goes to the doctor at least once a month if not every 3 months for checkups and medication adjustments. And then top off the annual visits, ophthalmologist for adjustments to their glasses, prescriptions and dental appointments... How can you not take your child to any doctor in 4 years? That is just insane to me, especially one that needs special care.

    I always carried some type of food stuff for my girl. She never ever asked for food. I just offered a variety and let her pick.
    I taught myself to cook all sorts, in after full-time working. Eg. mix up bread batch to rise for the next day, home-made everything just so I knew what the quality and exact ingredients, etc.
    My girl is now grown; five feet eleven inches. Her hair and nails grow like weed. Her skin is flawless. She has been approached to model but chose to study programming and has a Masters in financial digital security.
    *PS: I raised her from birth as a sole-parent. 😮😮😊
