It wouldn’t be the first time they didn’t take a playoff opponent seriously. Romo takes a vacation days before the playoffs begin, lose 1st playoff game. Jerry gives NFC Championship tickets to players so their family could watch them play, that was before they had even got there. They didn’t get there.
After 45 years of being a Cowboys fan, I have never been so disappointed and angry about a loss. This was the most shocking loss I’ve ever witnessed and there have been many bad losses. I’ll be 54 years old and I witnessed Montana to Clark as a kid and watched how that one play destroyed the Cowboy franchise for a decade until the early nineties when we got 3 Super Bowls with Aikman, Smith, and Irvin. The sad truth is that I thought I had suffered with Danny White in the 1980’s but truthfully, at least he got Dallas to the NFC championship. As much as I love Dak as a person, he is not the guy. It’s time to move forward and cut our losses now. Like Romo, he’s just another good player who cracks under the pressure in the biggest games. It hurts me to say that because he looked so promising in 2016 as a rookie. I’m stunned by this overall performance from the Cowboys at home 😢

Room was a goat. I’m not saying Dak is too, but the talent on our team this year shouldn’t reflect a first round loss….McCarthy isn’t capable of running our offense. Don’t blame Dak, he’s an amazing qb.
Romo was better than dak. Romo ran for his life almost on every hike , had a rookie coach in Jason, and never had top-tier players around him except Witten and dez. The o line was dreadful . Romo tried too much with less around him.
Dak has way better players and a great line . Most importantly of all, I never seen a QB in a clean pocket step into his throws and still miss , throw behind the runner in his route, or overthrow a person as much as Dak. Not to mention Daks tunnel vision.
@@camarykaren I get it. There were countless plays we saw Dak make tonight that just confused the hell out of me. Like you said, for him to slowly scramble out of pocket for a loss or pick-6 is ridiculous. Like I said, our talent on this team is immense, I definitely think McCarthy has to go.

The bigger point is we have a losing culture full of players and coaches that aren’t gamers. Outside of Tank Lawrence and Ferguson, no one seemed to care today.
You have to appreciate how honest he is being and Dak seems like a good guy. Sadly, the pressure of the post season seems too much for him. He may well have to look to move on and try and rebuild at a team that doesn't carry such a weight of expectation.

I still think if you can get your hands on an offensive coach like Sean McVay, Kyle Shanahan, or even Doug Pederson you can make it work. Did you see what John Harbaugh did with Joe Flacco in the playoffs? He made him like like a king and the same qb in Cleveland threw 2 pick 6s. That's not Flacco being amazing it's more coaching
I’m Scottish, so not claiming to be an expert and very much on the outside looking in. However the Dallas defence were shocking. I think it’s pretty harsh to only target the head coach and QB for this shocking loss!

While I agree, in all of Daks losses vs GB in Arlington and vs SF in Arlington, he is awful in the first quarter and a half. Then when he is down 20 + to 0 defenses play soft and he racks up pass attempts, pass yards and TDS. 2016 Dak was the best. 10-20 pass attempts a game and be obsessed with the run (even if it’s predictable).

I've been a Dallas fan since the 70's, always had defensive players that wanted to win, these guys get knocked around, pushed, talk bad to and do anything about it, there soft. Go look at the team in the 70's thru the 90's attitude offense and defense.
He said it, they overlooked The Pack. They weren't prepared to lie to McCarthy in JerryWorld or anywhere else the way they jumped on them. Aaron literally couldn't have done a better job than Jordan Love with the perfect rating and all. I'm happy for the Pack!
The QB usually sets the tone for a game but our defense played with very little enthusiasm. Most NFL teams do not give up this many points in a game. We just have no leadership from the head coach, none from the QB and none from the defense. Time to make some changes.

Once I seen Aaron jones score in like 2 minutes of the first quarter I was like this doesn’t look good. Jordan love threw to guys wide open this deff wasn’t all dak. But everytime the packers got the ball big plays happened with the run or the pass. The game plan changes when you’re put in a position to throw and catch up. Defenses know to adjust. No deep stuff and lock up the curls and that’s exactly how they got beat

Defense only REALLY got bad after Dak gave them 14. The defense gave him the ball down 7 with a chance to control the game. Instead, we went down 21-0 before the defense even got a real chance again.

@towhomitmayconcern1602 defense deserves an equal amount of blame, but you can't deny that Dak missing wide open targets, throwing poorly timed interceptions that directly translated into opponents points didn't destroy any motivation the team had. Ceedee and Cooks looked sick of Dak. Micah and Law looked confused. The QB is the leader of the team, and if the leader is directly causing you to lose morale, then he has to go.

Yep, Dak scored 14 points for Green Bay, and I credit him for the loss last year and tonight, not the ones before these 2. Those were on the defense. Also, tonight, the defense couldn't stop my grandmother. They were wide open on passes and ran the ball, hitting Dallas in the mouth! Dan Quinns' defensive strategy didn't work at all! He must already have his next head coaching job!

Dak is the problem not the schemes or coaches at this point. He can’t read defenses, doesn’t look at the right side of the field, he’s scared to run, his balls stay in the air too long, can’t hit a receiver in stride. I just want a QB. We deserve it after Romo held us hostage and now Dak. Neither were too 5 qbs even though they were compensated as such. Dak is a great guy with a great story. There’s so much tragedy he’s overcome to take the field and that’s awesome. But, the fact is he’s not good enough for this team and high profile position in Dallas.

But I also don’t want to make this loss all on Dak.. Out defense couldn’t stop a damn cold tonight. Dak may have given up a pick 6 but that’s just 7 points. The Packers dropped damn near 50 points on us tonight. We can’t win that way no matter how good Dak plays. Our secondary was leaving guys wide open and we got the ball ran down our throats as teams have done to us all year. This is a tough pill to swallow …

It was an epic collapse by the entire team but the QB has to play exceptional if you are going to win a Super Bowl. Craig Morton and Danny White were great guys as well but they couldn't win the big one. Time to move on from Dak but his contract is going to be the deciding factor on whether he stays or go.
A very honest and accurate take imo. Dak was no where near good enough but he's far from the only problem. This team was not close to being ready to play. Its so crushing that GB simply wanted it more and bullied us off the field all day.

I think the pressure of playing in Dallas (in the playoffs) is too much for him. This happens routinely for him. He is already a veteran in this league. He aint gonna fix it. Issue is there is no better replacement out there realistically so the boys are stuck with him

I watched this at 3 AM before going to (try to) sleep, I shed a tear, he’s not the qb I want him to be, but I feel bad for him even with a part of me that wants me to be mad at him, after the Seattle and both against Philly I slightly believed he could have that dawg in him, that IT factor, that even when everything goes wrong, the defense allows 30+ he could win us the game, that he could come through at the most critical moments, and it turned out like this, good old Cowboys

Dak gets 90% of the blame , they faced the worst defense in the playoffs and did nothing but put the defense in a bind all game long. Great teams can only carry a mediocre qb so far, it’s time for a change .
I'd say it's more 60/40 slightly in favor is the D. Dak's play certainly didn't help, and really just boosted the momentum in the other team's favor.
nothing more i wanted than dak to be the one to break our playoff curse and lead us past the divisional. i think this was his last opportunity to get it done. i still think we will extend him based off of his regular season performance, but i think after 5 years making the playoffs and absolutely crumbling under pressure every time that this is the best we are going to get from him. we can keep this cycle going and continue to have good regular seasons and playoff disappointments, or move on from dak, mike and quinn and restart. may be a couple of rough years but it feels necessary. this entire organization has seen nothing but disappointment and its become a normal thing. guys dont respond to adversity whatsoever, championship teams find ways to win tough games when things arent going your way, this team is very far from that and has been all season. i could see this coming but was hoping that we might could start hot in every game and maintain the lead, that was our only chance. anyways im sure what needs to be done wont be done and we will continue to be mediocre for years to come, thats just the life as a cowboys fan, best to just sit tight and wait for the inevitable.

Qb market is awful and reason Cowboys haven’t won is because they haven’t had a HOF qb since Aikman. They’re forced to draft a QB. Probably the worst set of qbs Ive seen in nfl history this season. One of the reasons I stopped watching years ago.
