Hi guys!!
New here and still figuring things out. In a the stream, Aron changed component's background image with a custom element in the 25th minute
Did I miss the part where he explained this? If so, any chance someone can point me in the right direction?
By the way, huge fan of the live streams - keep up the fantastic work! You guys are teaching me a lot.
Hey Dineth, Aron here! We don't use a custom element for the background image. You can set a property for an image element so when users add that component to a page they can select an image for that instance. We use a custom element when we want to change the **type** of element (for instance when we want to change a div into a link tag) using a property. Hope that helps, let me know if that's unclear!
Glad you're enjoying the streams!
Hi!
What is the best way to have a component e.g. for an article in the CMS collections listing? When I try to get a link to the article detail there, Webflow doesn't show me "Link to current template" (or similar) and I have to detach the component. Or am I doing something wrong? Thank you for the answer.
To be completely honest I would make another component for the primary card, it seems that it takes too much effort to make a second version of the same card in the same component :/
Also, love the way Sam says "Yeah, sure".
Good video :D
Hey Fuster, that's definitely a good approach!
I love this livestream - but for me it takes to much time when the top person has to discuss everything with the person below, while the top person is running us through the process.
Wouldn’t it be wiser to let the person below do the actions while discussing it with the presenter/host at top?
That way the host can ask questions and discuss, while the «Expert» below actally can be the learning resource and show his examples/ways of doing it.
Sorry for my bad english!
Hey Eivinj, appreciate the feedback! Still figuring out how best to do this!
@@Webflow thanks for replying! It shows how community focused you guys are. Looking forward to the next streams :)
What's your keyboard model ?

when i can add embed in component properties?
Do you mean a code embed?
@@Webflow yes, wanted to ask same question? Does costume code works in components?
@@Webflow yes
It would be really nice if you were more definitive on what you want to do, and not be so "wishy washy." I suggest an outline of specific steps with specific content.
