T rex are supposed to be an average of 12 ft to the hip, but that's only speculation based on the fossils we have found (they are taller and smaller skeletons with this height), and that's also not taking in fact that the t-rex could lift his head above his hips. So yeah, tyrannosaures could be taller than 12 ft.

It's great that many of the Birds-of-Paradise actually clear a dance floor of twigs and leaves just to perform for the females. And for those awesome hopping cranes, I think they were pidder-pattering on the ground to make the worms comes up (mimick the sound of rain)

I've seen footage of a one of the rarer Japanese cranes doing a promenade kind of dance with their mate, it was actually really elegant how synchronized they were with their steps and their bowing.
Actually, the cranes do dance like that to attract a mate! They are just goofy about the whole dance business. xD

@Benedikt I'm no creationist, but one has to wonder what is the evolutionary advantage of aesthetics? The birds could display good fitness without all those colors, crests, fancy feathers, etc.

Such beautiful creations of nature. Shame on people who display exotic feathers in hats from rare species.They look better on a bird's body than a vain persons headware.
I wouldn't consider it that way unless they killed the bird for the feathers....I mean sometimes they shed feathers too..or maybe it's after the bird passes away..but I consider it honoring the birds beauty, to display their feathers..depends on the circumstances
