One of the many reasons I appreciate Angelina so much is that her variety of music is so extensive I don't feel like I have to hunt down different genres, her voice covers all that I will ever need. Thanks Alan for introducing some of these artists that I don't seek out. Thumbs up sir, always a pleasure.

Some of the artists you proposed were average, some were fairly good( pomplamoose,camille) but, come on. There's no comparison to be made. She encloses all the moods in this and in all of her performances. She givrs you a different mood in every sillable of each word she sing. The nuances she "slides" in each and every song she sings are unmatched by anyone I've heard in my long life.love.❤️

And this was not the live AGT performance which imo is far better than the edited video with rehearsal audio used and audience participation removed .also there was no public vote 50 so called superfans voted .and this was not part of the competition it was a finale ( a bonus performance) ANGELINA had already been eliminated , the sand artist was a guest performer.
The perfection by 13 year old Angelina her live TV performance warms the hearts and baffles the minds around the world.

Wow Alan. That was an exquisite look into the evolution of a song. Honestly, I thought that song must have been written in the 40s, 50s, or 60s. I became quite annoyed with how her final performance was arranged. She, with 2 fabulous artists and none of them getting the credit they deserve. There was little chance for one to standout (although the sand painter actually stole the moment in my opinion).

What a wonderful look at this song. It’s enjoyable to hear the original and many different covers. I agree that Angelina did not change it very much from the original. In addition, yes sharing the lime light with the two other artists drew it of focus away from her. I do believe things happen for a reason. The best thing for was the exposure and remaining in control of her music. Thank you for another insightful reaction to our Beautiful Angelina.
Simon had to have Angelina on his show so after she becomes known to the world, he can say she performed on his show. I have no doubt that all 4 judges were already huge fans of Angelina before she set foot on the AGT stage.

I LOVED that triple performance of Angelina at AGT! 🤍 I feel she did beautifully and the balance between each of the three of them was perfect. They were a super trio!
Other than Angelina singing ‘Someone you loved’, I far prefer Lewis Capaldi’s own singing and would do without all the others very nicely. His voice and song are winners in my books.

Watching the video, never disappoints me. It's the show's chance to let her sing one more time. I watch Simon, as he's watching her slip away from his chance to land her. His focus is on her. He want's to show his support. But at least he got a few songs out of her. He's a music/performance lover as well. Let's not forget the importance of the Editor. This is just one of the many times I've seen them use the same crowd shot over the years. Injecting the "Wow" into BoRap, Mom wiping the tear from her sister's eye. They know how to create emotion.

This is a beautiful song and I believe the AGT performance with all three on stage was the best mash up ever done on that show. Having said that, Angelina did not pick that song and if allowed to choose one it wouldn’t have been that one. Anyway the corporate people who picked the winner based on who they could control for max $$$$ had already done so. The four people out front “judging” had noting to do with the final.

Thank you, Alan. The voting in AGT Champions was done by a group of "super fans," two representing each state (so at least 100). This is very different than the call-in fans that helped AJ win NGT at age 8. At least this is how I understand it. It was explained by Howie Mandel in his comments after her stunning performance of Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." I appreciate, Alan, the history of the song as you have shown it here. I knew nothing about the song that Angelina and the violinist performed while the sand painter formed her story images. That's what I like about what you do. Even something very familiar is an education with your productions and I'm always happy to see a new video in my queue. Grandma Ellen, out.

Great video Alan! For me Angelina’s performance convinced me once again that she is phenomenal. When I discovered the rehearsal recording of the day before, without the public, I was stunned! It’s so beautiful ❤. I never listen to the performance with the public anymore. And then listening to her rehearsal with the violinist, I was stunned again, because I can hear what she sounds like when holding back a bit. It’s also unbelievably beautiful ❤. She outshines anyone else who sings this song. So amazing!
Except the original singer songwriter, Lewis C.! The two of them outshine every other attempt at this song. And that is very unusual for me to say for any song that Angelina covers.
The sound quality and vocals are far superior in the live agt performance , it's head and shoulders ahead of the heavily edited / rehearsal video. Imo the audience noise/ participation adds greatly to the overall performance the audience loved it the atmosphere was electric ANGELINA is always best live.
@@tomwhite4736 Hi Tom, thank you for your reaction. Yes, Angelina is best live. I was at her concert in Norway last summer and I can confirm! What disturbs me in this live performance is that the public’s reaction and applause was for the sand artist, not for Angelina, so it came at strange moments in the song. Very disconnected with what Angelina was singing. I agree that the atmosphere was electric. I just enjoy better her rehearsal published by Philip (pa1189j), where I can hear her better. I’m not sure this was edited. At least the (to me) beautiful crack in her voice at the height of the bridge was not edited out. Now that’s no proof, but the whole song just sounds top notch to me. Anyway, I appreciate your comment.
@@adriaanrijllart5213 That's OK we all have different preferences , the fan made video by pa1189j is heavily edited as well as using the rehearsal audio performance. for eg you see three young girls with shocked surprised looks one with mouth open , that never happened in that performance , the sequence was taken from " bohemian rhapsody " agt champions performance.. regards Tom.

I just found you on RUclips recently, but I’ve been following Angelina Jordan for over a year. She astounds me, quite frankly, I want to thank you for what you do. Also, are you involved in the podcast wrapped in a warm blanket?
First, and foremost; Angelina was not on that show to win. This was quite simply to promote and expose the US public to this prodigy that comes along maybe once in a generation. To win, AJ’s family would have had to sign a contract with Simon, and he would have been in control of her future. Her family would not allow that to happen. I am sure America’s Got Talent was paid well by her production company Stargate, the hitmaking duo (Beyonce, Rihanna, Sam Smith). David Foster tried to sign her in the past, but the family did not like the contract. She is like nothing we have ever experienced.
People, wake up to reality; do you honestly think for one moment that a talent like Angelina Jordan if competing on AGT would not win if it were legit? AJ is a talent like no other in this world at this time. I am astonished at your naiveté!
I think at first she didn’t understand because at interview is cried a little say she hopes she can win .. maybe mom and uncle explained to her that she didn’t have to win , I could see a little disappointment on her face in the second and last performances
@@rvega60s The comment you replied to is riddled with mis-information. She did say in the interview that she hoped to win the show. And I believed that. But her crying was an edit from when she was talking about her grandfather. The disappointment that you think you saw was more likely due to her grandfather being in pain and close to death (he passed a couple of weeks later) in the hospital.

I believe the song requires it being best sung in as simple a style as possible. Personally,
I would love to hear Angelina's mesmerizing vocal ability brought forth in a'capella for
this song. When you've mastered the two most unique styles of jazz singing that Angelina
has, which are that of Billie Holiday's 'breathy', 'whisper-like'inflections, and 'slurring' as
well as 'radical' mid-sentence 'key' changes that were a hallmark of Amy Winehouse, Angelina
wind's up being the third person to re-define the jazz genre. I do need to add the fact that when
anyone examines the intricacies of Billie Holiday, the 'radical' mid sentence 'key' changes Amy
applied, were 'definitely' first introduced to jazz by Billie Holiday. Amy realized 'early on' how
uniquely important this was in order to best sing jazz, and Angelina did as well. Angelina has said
something that I believe Amy would also have said if it had been asked of her. I'm referring to
Angelina stating that if not for Billie Holiday, she would not be the singer she is. High praise
indeed, when those words come from the reigning 'Queen Of Jazz'.
I wonder. If Lewis Capaldi was so worry about the performances of the other " contenstants", what did he do after Angelina? Got drunk? Committed suicide? Went to a Monastery in Tibet? He's a great song writer but he should write for her.
He sang his song fabulously and I would listen to him sing it above all others save for Angelina. He can be humbly and proudly joyous about his voice and song in my opinion!

That's not her live performance as there is no crowd noise, its the audio from a rehearsal with visual from the live performance. The live performance is head and shoulders above despite crowd noise.

I don't agree this AGT CHAMPIONS performance was not part of the competition it was the finale performance ( a bonus performance) the sand artist was a guest performer. far from detracting any glory from ANGELINA the sand artist and violinist added greatly to the overall performance. the audience loved it the atmosphere was electric. the live agt performance is head and shoulders above any other edited / rehearsal video.audience participation adds to the brilliant atmosphere and ANGELINAS vocals are superior to that of the rehearsal. which you have used here.

Just to add a little bit to the "Champion AGT" story...the producers managed their manipulation of the show by having "superfans" do the voting. This was limited to supposedly one from each of the fifty states. My own cynical take is that this is only marginally more modern than the original bread and circuses of the coliseum. And the champion show was only done as a way of driving a competing show under....(which they accomplished)
And now they have AGT ALL STARS with the superfans system of voting , its a pathetic joke , thank god ANGELINA never took part.
Certain similarities and even differences between them, especially the way this American discovered them, cause me to draw a connection between Angelina & Courtney Hadwin. Sometimes they can strike me as two sides of a single coin. Anyway, I find myself wishing you had included the other young teenager's run at this excellent song.
The 2 ANGELINA links in the description are from a rehearsal and a edited video with audio used from that rehearsal with audience participation removed. Imo the the live AGT performance is far better video and sound .

I am with you and loved the trio performing that song. It made it so special in so many different ways and I believe Angelina was totally aware to be in harmony with the other two, to match the mood of the three together.

Since she's run it by on TikTok, I doubt we'll see a full video of it, although she could easily do it live in a concert. Hi, Alan! Thank you for yet another excellent video. In every one you produce I am introduced to singers of whom I had been completely unaware. :-) Long may it be so.
Some comments about "Someone you loved". I'm surprised you didn't feature Courtney Hadwin, a young English singer two years older than Angelina, as her rendition is different again. (Here is a link to her performance: ruclips.net/video/eR9UxcsjUSM/видео.html )
Angelina sang two songs in the Competition. "Bohemian Rhapsody" in the Semi Final, and "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" in the Final. She did not make the top five. Her performance of "Someone you loved" was an extra which was described as the Finale and, as you know, featured three artists.
As I understand the situation,before Angelina agreed to perform at the event, Michael Astar negotiated a contract with Fremantle(?) which prevented any attempt by them to try and negotiate a contract with her.
The competition was open to all art forms and, although I abhor the fact that the judging did not follow the normal pattern, even if that had been so there is no guarantee that a singer would have been chosen

Yes it’s for all three of my get it was very confusing people coming to look at their way so we can do nothing with that because you’re too many people who want to hear Angelina but but the song went viral. Got 7 million views sure they had a contract sit with her, Michael, uncle Michael that store they came to America before they brought her over because she asked them to the further her career OK or deal with public records and Rico Stargate are Norwegian producers producers so she’s very comparable to them because she has the right to say anything she want her. How do you want to sang it and they produce it and she’s very happy her and she’s very very happy to be with him laughing and talking now she’s in Portsmouth, New Hampshire doing a concert the first US concert in Portsmouth New Hampshire. There’s thousands of people there I just got to sleep I couldn’t go pick up so my cousin my wife passed away and I couldn’t go that they said if the roads are fluid people coming into that concert now and I didn’t need that contract because your head one OK now she is this is the first US concert in Portsmouth Massachusetts.l New Hampshir
When I see Angelina’s version I get a bit upset because that sand Artist took part of her glory, no disrespect to the sand Artist but it wasn’t necessary to add her in the performance. It’s like having a piano off key.
Every one I ever talked to after the show was terribly upset about that. Add to that was they didn't even include her in the top 5. That was a insult in itself. Girley guy should have been number 6, not number 5.
I loved that the sand artist was there as well as the young violinist. I thought all three worked superbly together and that Angelina sang to make the team a harmonious beautiful performance!
As that performance was the finale ( a bonus performance) not included in the voting I thought the 3 artist worked brilliantly together , imo the sand artist added to the overall performance. did not detract from ANGELINA at all imo. the audience loved it all.
