Haha yeah I expected him to be less of threat than Meat Lord but he's a beat, luckily I had the dogs with me and they tanked most of it cause otherwise I would have suffered the same as you.

'Got caught stealing' has been an issue for the games entire life and happens when looting someone that is playing dead.
There is a workaround however, pick them up and drop them again. Characters not part of your squad are knocked out for about 10seconds when dropped regardless of health to make switching who carries a prisoner less troublesome. You can use that 10s window to loot them (or loot while they are on the shoulder where they will never 'catch' you).

Thanks for the advice! The more annoying part is when you want to loot a chest and somebody somewhere in a pile of knocked out enemies catches you stealing haha, but it is still a beautiful game even if janky at tiimes

That's actually a good idea! But I like the mystery of them being 2 smiths and people never telling the difference and thus the legendary armor & weapon smith is born in the myths of Kenshi
