Both sessions so gorgeous! Love how you explain to her what the outcome will be and what to expect when it’s time to colour again. So talented! She seems adorable!
Yes, silver doesn't hang on very well unless the hair is very light. And even then, you have to baby the color to keep it from yellowing. We also used color that would be short term for her, as she was deciding if she really wanted to be silvery gray.
@@ChuckEdwardsHair you. "Babying? hair? I do the purple shampoo "cap" of my head where the brass is to tone it down a bit. Most my hair is white blonde except for gray roots. I had questions for you at second part to this video. Your answers to me are GOLDEN,as i'm sooo tired of trying to figure this out on my own. I am READY, not wishy washy on what to do. I wanna go totally silver/blonde lol. NO BRASS. Also, how far apart in time should session one and two be in getting the silvery color completed?
I mixed each shade separately in 3 separate bowls and color melted them in the foils. I did not color the root at all...only the previously highlighted areas. I started with 6 and melted to 10. But I switched it up in every foil. That's what makes it look so organic and natural. 3 different colors applied throughout, color melted from darker at the root to lighter ends. (It's Mydentity Demi-Permanent color mixed with it's developer. I believe it's 6volume, but I'm not at the salon right now to check. 🙂) Hope this helps!
I was light Castanie colour from the start..I've changed into blonde highlights 25 years ago..I am going grey now. So, my hair is perfect apart from my roots, there is no brand to cover my grey for me, if I want to stay blonde...so depressing
I would love to know if this lady kept returning and how the colour developed. I am at that stage where I feel I would like to embrace my grey but I have been dying it dark for so long that the grow out is going to be painful xx
I’m in the process of growing out my blonde highlights and I have quite a lot of grey especially framing my face and around the crown area but I can’t help but notice on some of these videos, there’s an aspect violet in the colour/toning process? How is that avoided?
Violet and Blue is the undertone when toning lightened hair to silver/gray. If you feel like you hair grabs too much tone, it shampoos away, so you can just shampoo it. But you’re probably noticing the tone more because of the lights directly above the client.
Need help I have 10 t 10 gi 9n and 10p I have rooted brown hair with level 9 and some ten and darker bc it's done in teasy highlights I just don't know how to formulate new at all of this in the industry I don't have any v"s at this time in shades eq formula just need to brighten or tone my lighter peices not my darker roots please help me I love your work stunning 💜💜💜 have the processing solution and the Crystal clear just wanted to let you know just new to the industry and don't really know how to formulate that good
Hey Wendy! 9n is actually GORGEOUS and is great for toning out just a little brass. Unless your hair is a level 10, the level 10 shades won't tone the level 9 pieces. They will really only work on the pieces that are level 10. So, with what you have on hand, I'd say the 9n is your best bet.
@@ChuckEdwardsHair 🛑🛑how much would you use to clear it out I want it pretty shear just all over I'm just not familiar I have used 10 vv and it worked perfectly though really
@@ChuckEdwardsHair how much of the crystal clear should I mix with it to formulate with the 9n I'm terrified I did try to 10 's and did nothing really to my hair but the 10 gi did brighten it up more yellow lol
Please please, do my hair, I want to go gray and not dye my hair anymore, let it grow out natural with some help from high and low lights, just can’t find a good stylist.

When she was back for the second session I noticed the blonde length was back. Does the silver color wash out? I love the final look!!

Looks fantastic! I feel like this client and I are hair twins?
She said EXACTLY the same thing! She actually came in and referenced your video for her first color session. 🙂
So pretty! Root colors- all 3 colors mixed together?- what ratio? What volume? Ty!

She is still a client. I have her scheduled here shortly so I'll do an update video.

Finding the right stylist for you can be difficult sometimes, especially when it’s a specialty services like this.
It looks better all silver - that yellow-green color is horrible
What yellow-green color?
