Yeah corporations have always put the customer first lol
I still like cinema xd
There are many things good for us, but the price of a ticket to even watch a film at the cinema has become a luxury for many, let alone the food which can easily double the ticket price with a family.
I am lucky enough to have a low cost cinema near me which is priced at £5.00 a ticket and another for just £3.50,I do love the feeling of being sat in the dark and having no distractions but to sit and watch the film.
BUt I find it far from being a particualrly communal experience or some kind of primal expereince of sitting round stroy telling.
I still think its far too of a passive experience and don't think its the same as sitting round with people and telling stories or participatory art forms where peoople interject or act out stories together or play music together.
The cinema for me is far from the way its described here as some kind of sacred bond expereince or a primal hark back to our need to tell stories.
This is well over the top description of the part that cinema plays in modern societies and how it brings us all together in our human expereinces.I would say TV drama does alot more and so many films made today are so bad and full of special effects and not really relatable stories that I find many of them quite alienating tbh.
Give me a play any day and real live theatre or even the theatre live streams they now have in cinemas.
MOst films are a let down for me tbh and so is the cinema going expereince especially in the UK when most people shuffle out afterwards hardly giving eye contact and looking down at their feet!!! hardly a communal expereince I think
Amazing video! For sure cinema is one of the greatest inventions and gifts for us. You can have a great time with many benefits, and keep being human. Let us not forget this heritage, even with lots of technology that insists on making us individualist (yeah, you give more money to them being individualist than being a community), we should take care of what makes us refreshed and renewed, not addicted.
Thanks for the lovely feedback on the video😍
No.
I cannot imagine world without cinema. We go to the cinema not only to watch film, but also to relax, to feel this film, this story through all your sences. Even if this film is bad. My dream was to watch old films in the cinema. It's definitely different level of experience- even if I watched this film 100 times at home, this 101 in cinema looks better ;)
LongLive the Cinema :)
Amazing Video. Thank You.
Amazing cinema review. Good narration
I miss being able to afford to go to the cinema
The last film I saw at the cinema was Frozen II. Three years ago, I know!

Did a cinema write this episode
Nice try, but as communal activities go, movie theaters suck, you shouldnt be talking to people, you're all sitting there in the dark and quiet being coughed and sneezed on, you have an embarassing gauntlet of annoyed people to pass if you have to go to the bathroom, other people stepping over you to get to the bathroom, crying babies, sticky floors, all to see something very BIG and LOUD that you could see at home just smaller and quieter. Pretty sure some cinema company paid for this study!
It does do you good to get out and have a day at the flicks, but this whole ‘experiencing it together as an audience’ thing feels a bit rooted in the 1920’s. Half the time I go these days half the theatre’s empty, even on weekends.
Please it's my humble request to you please make your more video on social issues please and providing solutions how to solve the problem please please it will really help us please please please
I'd rather experience films in an empty and quiet place. Nowadays ppl go to scream, applause, speak out loud, whisper... It's specially horrible when flicks are long and ppl just wanna go home cuz they get bored. They keep complaining and it sucks! Don't take me wrong, I love going to the cinema, but it's getting stressing and more expensive...
3:30 - Highly Flawed Methodology. He should have had them watch the movie Alone IN the same setting (a cinema). Being in a lab, on a laptop is likely to be the cause of any findings, not that they where alone.
Baby friendly screenings? Just don’t bring your baby to the movies!!
First comment❤
I decided to go to the cinema the other day. The only things showing were mainstream Hollywood rubbish. So I went home and torrented an old film noir from the '50s. Contemporary culture is garbage.
The cinema industry is in trouble because of extortionate prices. Nice try bbc, but cinema is finished for most people now days.
👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽Cinema is finished. Unsubscribe time for me now aswell 😅
