For those of you who are confused: after you find a camper but don’t want them and travel 7 days, you then need to go DAY BY DAY until you find your next camper. You’ll only need to go day by day for about a week until you finally run into one again (unless it’s a holiday or event, then it could be more). Hope this clears it up. Happy hunting!

As much as I want Raymond I am NEVER getting rid of Marshal for as long as I live Update: Got Raymond via this method anyway! It's still possible to find your dreamy without removing anyone but it'll just take a little longer.
That's what I'm doing lol, Marshal is my favorite villager on my island and even tho I have his amiibo card (which is how I got him on my island) ill never move him out
You just have a much lower chance which sucks. I really want Raymond but I don't TT and the smug villager I have just won't move out for anything. Good luck
This took 3 days, 2 full ingame years and a looot of effort, but tried and tested, it does work. Sometimes it will feel like there's no camper but just keep going +1 day and you'll get there eventually. Don't give up!!

I'll be honest, I was not expecting this method to work, and I definitely was not expecting to find my dreamy in less than one full real-time day - But I'm here to say that this method does 100% work! It did require a lot of patience and persistence but I managed to find Beau in roughly 5 hours today! Which was far better than paying 50+ NMT and all your bells to another player for a villager online. Thank you for posting this video! Will definitely be referring back to this method to find Audie and Raymond when I'm ready to go through that process again 😂😂
used this and got raymond in a few hours! however, I did notice a little glitch(?) - once gruff was in boxes so raymond could move in, I time traveled back to the present. raymond's house was there, but when I tried to enter, the sign on the door said he wasn't home. upon looking at the map, there was an empty space where raymond's icon should've been, and I looked all over the island and couldn't find him. however, this was simply fixed by time traveling to the next day. when I went back to the present once again, everything was just fine.
most likely due to the fact that you traveled back during the 'move in process', i know moving back to normal time while someone is moving causes some glitches but glad it worked out in the end
Hey! Do you recall how long it took in between campers? I found one camper at the start of setting this up, but haven’t been able to get any since (30 in game days).

Good luck spending 2-4 weeks continuously closing the game, changing the date and re-opening the game in order to get a specific villager out of 391 villagers. Yes, it’s a 1/391 chance of you landing your dream villager and if you already have the same personality type that you’re hunting on your island, it can take you up to 2-4 weeks of continuous grinding.
I've done this with 3 smug villagers already in my town, you dont have to get rid of the villager with the personality you are looking for. If you don't have a certain personality it just makes it easier to get villagers of that personality.
@@wolfenby also what if an amiibo you were trying to find was sold out? You can just make an amiibo with that specific character :3 Making amiibos are pretty easy.

Use aeroplane mode as a sort of panic button,it instantly cuts communication and doesn’t save what happened. (Idk if you already know this but hold the home button and there you can quickly get to aeroplane mode)

Thank you so much for sharing this video!! My goal was to find Judy but I found Judy AND Raymond! So here's how it went for me for anyone interested: I kicked off Kitty prior to starting this method so I wouldn't have any snooty villagers. My island consisted of 3 smug, 3 lazy, 1 normal, 1 peppy, 1 jock, and 1 cranky villager. I did this trick 74 times (Raymond was #10 but I kept going after I invited him because I was looking for Judy). I think I had a total of 20 snooty villagers and Judy was the 21st. I came across a mix of every villager type during this process but I definitely saw sisterly and snooty the most (the two personality types I lacked on my island). It took me about 3 days to do this but I took a lot of breaks. I also did not come across a single repeat. This method WORKS but it takes time and it's so worth it to not have to use all your NMT. I can confirm that this works, I have 2 snootys (ankha and Diana) and i got Judy 😭😭😭 this took me 4 irl days, thank you so so much for this! If I didn’t come across this I wouldn’t of have gotten her, this requires so much pacients! I really was doubting I’d get her but I got her thanks to you :)
I had a similar experience to others so I wanted to comment to help anyone else going through the same thing! It took me a long time but this method WORKS and I found Agnes! I checked in w the villager moving out and he was in boxes, so I time-travelled back to the present. The next time I played the old villager's house was still there, but the sign said it was Agne's and that she wasn't home. I couldn't find her anywhere and her icon wasn't on my island, so I started freaking out lol. I ended up time-traveling a day in advance and she finally showed up in boxes. Then I went back to real time and now she is fully moved in and here. My only issue is that the house is still my old villager's!!!!!!!!! I think you're supposed to continue time traveling forward after you get your villager until they are fully moved in. THEN you can go back to present time. If anyone has tips on how to fix my house issue, would love that Also legit right after fixing this and going back to present someone else asked to move out lol
I found that if they have the thought bubble over the wrong villager and talking to all the ones that you want to keep and moving a day forward normally moves that bubble to the one you don't want anymore
Chioma Egu but if you don’t respond to the bubble (exit game without saving and ignore them for a full day) after only a day or two the bubble will move onto someone else
I’ve seen people say this. But I’ve had thought bubbles over villagers heads and it’s just because they want to give me something. I’ve only had the thought bubble be for moving for one villager so far. But I’ve had 4 villagers have the bubble since and it hasn’t been for moving.
Yeah so...this really works because I have all my dreamies now lol My town is literally so op right now...I got Raymond, Marshal, Judy, Audie, Sherb, Stitches, Bob, Octavian(i needed a cranky type), Bam(Jock), and Cherry(Big Sister type). Out of all the videos on the internet on this topic it’s the only one that works! It takes hours for each villager but it’s worth it. Using this method I got Beau, Diana, Judy and Marshall. Tysm!

@@lsmith6046 all the vids I´veen seen so far seem like he appears after midday but not a specific time of the day I don't think it works like that . I've seen him appearing past 12 pm during evening and at night so pretty sure there's no time it can appear for sure.some days I think some villagers not appear no matter how many nmt´s are involved.

I was about to test this out this morning. I had printed out 5 Nook Mile Tickets the night before just to visit a few deserted islands ! It’s been raining on my island for two days and I’m guessing that the surrounding islands had the same weather too! On my last NMT I went to the island and it was pouring rain, I saw the campfire in the distance and then I saw a figure walking beyond that. I was disappointed when I saw a hat on the cat’s head ,but then the cat turned and I was looking into Raymond’s multi colored eyes! I was ecstatic! No time jumping just pure luck!

Sherb was the first villager invited to my island! I never knew he was rare because I already had a common village (Goose) and invited 2 other common villagers (Wendy and Midge).
It took way too long (about 7 hours), but after taking Molly to get rid of Kyle, I did eventually get Raymond by letting go of Cherry. I'll miss her but I can always get her back later. Thank you so much for bringing this method to light. It really works.

Your video is much more informative than others I’ve seen! So just wanted to let you know, I did start this at March 1st and it still worked. I am cycling through. I don’t care so much about Raymond. Although I do think he is cool and will likely snag if I find him. I just want a decent cranky or smug one. Lol

SyKeXD Yeah, it was patched out. Villagers can appear again if they already appeared in the campsite. Got someone two times already, but I also have the weirdest odds on this game. What I mean is, yes, they can appear again, but it might take some time depending on the RNG.
I know the game restarts the day at 5 but why did you mess up? I know you got her again I’m just confused why if you asked her to stay on your island and then saved why you’re worried about her not being there
I mean if you want to have your entire dream team there are gonna be at least two villagers that will take you longer cuz there is already one with that personality there so it’s not a really big deal as long as you don’t have a personality missing. I want villagers that have every type besides uchi and jock so I’m trying to replace my two starter villagers last so that’ll hopefully speed up the process if that makes sense This is such a more reliable way of getting the ones you want and you explained it so well tysm!!!
After I watched this I found another glitch to get someone at the campsite Example: i like to play in april so my trees will be pink. I time travel to april first, Isabelle makes her announcement and theres someone in the campsite I go check but I dont like them so I travel a year forward with the Same date someone is in the campsite again. I kept doing that and I got zucker, tia audie and ketchup in one day from the campsite

If you come across a villager you do not like, yes save game & close the game. However , when you time travel back there might not be no villager in the campsite. BUT DONT LOSE HOPEEE! Keep going a day forward. I don’t feel like listening to Isabel talk sometimes ( OML sorry ) 😭 If she says nothing about a new villager being there then keep exiting out the game ( DONT save ) and going a day forward. This doesn't work for me? I time travel a year forward and usually I get a camper, but when I time travel a week in advance after that there is no one in the campsite. Even when I skip one day over and over no one is there
@@narcissesme979 I actually just finished doing this. Just keep skipping a day forward until you get a campsite visitor. It takes a bunch of patience but it's worth it!
Mattromations exactly you start with a jock and a uchi (big sister) no matter what for example I had dom and cherry (which I still have since I love them) dom being the jock and cherry being the big sister
@@zayame9800 i could get villagers every 5 -7 time travels but sometimes it took upwards to 20 tries Most of the villagers i got were snooty- but i took bob and marshal when i found them in the process

Congrats!!! Yeah, it's not totally impossible to find Raymond in the campsite, but it is a way lower chance so it's up to you if you feel like going through with it lol
I used this method and started in 2021, and didn’t find sherb until 2025, going week by week 😓 it took five irl days, but thank you! Because I put so much effort in the outcome really is worth it! :)
Hii! I’m told when a villager moves out, you have to find a villager before the day resets because if not, the game will randomly get a villager to move in. In that case, if I time travel a year forward, would the game register as I have played the game for a year and randomise a villager to move in to my empty plot? Thank you >
Yea empty plot will b filled by rando in a couple days of TT. Without empty plot, camper you ask to live there will boot a rando, but u can keep redoing it of u close out/don’t save as soon as they say the villager name. rinse n repeat til they say the one u want. Super time consuming shit. Good thing we hav nothing to do
Yeah don’t do that lol you’ll have to either find someone to ask to move in on nookazon from someone else’s island or use nmt to fill it before the day resets and you get a random
Good question. I would say that yes, this is true, but this method still works well as long as the new villager is someone who does not have the same personality as the villager you’re aiming for.

I am currently using this method, trying to get Judy. While I haven't gotten her yet, I'm certain I will and so far I ended up getting my favorite cranky villager in the campsite, Apollo, despite already having 2 cranky villagers (I kicked one of them out for him b/c I didn't like them all that much)!! I've gotten a ton of snooty villagers so far, so I'm sure Judy is right around the corner, and I can't wait to have her. Wish me luck!!

I have 4 lazy villagers in my island and I still got lazy villagers in my campsite, so dont worry. It can still happen without kicking all your people out, it may just take a little longer
A few answers to everyone's questions: yes you can TT to 2021 and not worry about any villagers leaving. Yes sometimes you don't get campers you just have to keep trying until you do. Its time consuming and annoying but it does work. Some are just luckier than others. Also you occassionally will get duplicate personality types of those you have in your town. I GOT RAYMOND! Took me about 20 hours and year 2022!
I'm so happy for everyone who got their fav villagers with that method However, I'm 99% sure that my game is broken because I got a villager with a personality I already have, although I'm missing 2 personality types on my island and this was the only villager during 2 months so... guess I'll never get my sweet villagers :( Edit: It seems like I was just way too impatient, as always! Have been doing it for 3 hours now, which equals ~7 months in my game and after ~13 campers I finally got Raymond^^ so thank you for your video and all of the comments, they really motivated me to keep going!

This took 3 days, 2 full ingame years and a looot of effort, but tried and tested, it does work. Sometimes it will feel like there's no camper but just keep going +1 day and you'll get there eventually. Don't give up!!

I'll be honest, I was not expecting this method to work, and I definitely was not expecting to find my dreamy in less than one full real-time day - But I'm here to say that this method does 100% work! It did require a lot of patience and persistence but I managed to find Beau in roughly 5 hours today! Which was far better than paying 50+ NMT and all your bells to another player for a villager online. Thank you for posting this video! Will definitely be referring back to this method to find Audie and Raymond when I'm ready to go through that process again 😂😂

used this and got raymond in a few hours! however, I did notice a little glitch(?) - once gruff was in boxes so raymond could move in, I time traveled back to the present. raymond's house was there, but when I tried to enter, the sign on the door said he wasn't home. upon looking at the map, there was an empty space where raymond's icon should've been, and I looked all over the island and couldn't find him. however, this was simply fixed by time traveling to the next day. when I went back to the present once again, everything was just fine.

Good luck spending 2-4 weeks continuously closing the game, changing the date and re-opening the game in order to get a specific villager out of 391 villagers.
Yes, it’s a 1/391 chance of you landing your dream villager and if you already have the same personality type that you’re hunting on your island, it can take you up to 2-4 weeks of continuous grinding.
I've done this with 3 smug villagers already in my town, you dont have to get rid of the villager with the personality you are looking for. If you don't have a certain personality it just makes it easier to get villagers of that personality.

Thank you so much for sharing this video!! My goal was to find Judy but I found Judy AND Raymond! So here's how it went for me for anyone interested: I kicked off Kitty prior to starting this method so I wouldn't have any snooty villagers. My island consisted of 3 smug, 3 lazy, 1 normal, 1 peppy, 1 jock, and 1 cranky villager. I did this trick 74 times (Raymond was #10 but I kept going after I invited him because I was looking for Judy). I think I had a total of 20 snooty villagers and Judy was the 21st. I came across a mix of every villager type during this process but I definitely saw sisterly and snooty the most (the two personality types I lacked on my island). It took me about 3 days to do this but I took a lot of breaks. I also did not come across a single repeat. This method WORKS but it takes time and it's so worth it to not have to use all your NMT. Good luck to all who are searching for their dreamies 💖💖

I had a similar experience to others so I wanted to comment to help anyone else going through the same thing!
It took me a long time but this method WORKS and I found Agnes! I checked in w the villager moving out and he was in boxes, so I time-travelled back to the present. The next time I played the old villager's house was still there, but the sign said it was Agne's and that she wasn't home. I couldn't find her anywhere and her icon wasn't on my island, so I started freaking out lol. I ended up time-traveling a day in advance and she finally showed up in boxes. Then I went back to real time and now she is fully moved in and here. My only issue is that the house is still my old villager's!!!!!!!!!
I think you're supposed to continue time traveling forward after you get your villager until they are fully moved in. THEN you can go back to present time.
If anyone has tips on how to fix my house issue, would love that

I found that if they have the thought bubble over the wrong villager and talking to all the ones that you want to keep and moving a day forward normally moves that bubble to the one you don't want anymore
I think you actually have to tell them to stay and then TT two weeks into the future, and that is guaranteed to work - it always works for me :))
Chioma Egu but if you don’t respond to the bubble (exit game without saving and ignore them for a full day) after only a day or two the bubble will move onto someone else

I tried this and Chief had it for 2 days and then it disappeared until one of the amiibo’s I bought came and moved in
I’ve seen people say this. But I’ve had thought bubbles over villagers heads and it’s just because they want to give me something. I’ve only had the thought bubble be for moving for one villager so far. But I’ve had 4 villagers have the bubble since and it hasn’t been for moving.

I was about to test this out this morning. I had printed out 5 Nook Mile Tickets the night before just to visit a few deserted islands ! It’s been raining on my island for two days and I’m guessing that the surrounding islands had the same weather too! On my last NMT I went to the island and it was pouring rain, I saw the campfire in the distance and then I saw a figure walking beyond that. I was disappointed when I saw a hat on the cat’s head ,but then the cat turned and I was looking into Raymond’s multi colored eyes! I was ecstatic! No time jumping just pure luck!

I got Dom without removing my starter Jock villager. I didn’t even use this method! I was time traveling so my trees would grow and one day Dom appeared at the campsite and I took him in without realizing he was rare.

SyKeXD Yeah, it was patched out. Villagers can appear again if they already appeared in the campsite.
Got someone two times already, but I also have the weirdest odds on this game. What I mean is, yes, they can appear again, but it might take some time depending on the RNG.

I mean if you want to have your entire dream team there are gonna be at least two villagers that will take you longer cuz there is already one with that personality there so it’s not a really big deal as long as you don’t have a personality missing. I want villagers that have every type besides uchi and jock so I’m trying to replace my two starter villagers last so that’ll hopefully speed up the process if that makes sense

After I watched this I found another glitch to get someone at the campsite
Example: i like to play in april so my trees will be pink. I time travel to april first, Isabelle makes her announcement and theres someone in the campsite I go check but I dont like them so I travel a year forward with the Same date someone is in the campsite again.
I kept doing that and I got zucker, tia audie and ketchup in one day from the campsite

If you come across a villager you do not like, yes save game & close the game. However , when you time travel back there might not be no villager in the campsite. BUT DONT LOSE HOPEEE! Keep going a day forward. I don’t feel like listening to Isabel talk sometimes ( OML sorry ) 😭 If she says nothing about a new villager being there then keep exiting out the game ( DONT save ) and going a day forward. I currently have no smug villagers or cranky ones so I’ll update as I get them.

I time travel a year forward and usually I get a camper, but when I time travel a week in advance after that there is no one in the campsite. Even when I skip one day over and over no one is there

@@narcissesme979 I actually just finished doing this. Just keep skipping a day forward until you get a campsite visitor. It takes a bunch of patience but it's worth it!

Mattromations exactly you start with a jock and a uchi (big sister) no matter what for example I had dom and cherry (which I still have since I love them) dom being the jock and cherry being the big sister
I got judy after 25 hours of looking and getting through 40 other snooty villagers
Did it take you a while to get campers? And were you only finding snooty villagers?
@@zayame9800 i could get villagers every 5 -7 time travels but sometimes it took upwards to 20 tries
Most of the villagers i got were snooty- but i took bob and marshal when i found them in the process

I'm on the hunt for her right now! So far Ive been thru 51 villagers, 13 of which were snooty. This is taking forever but it will be worth it

Thank you so much!! I tried this method and got Audie. I was looking for her because I didn't have a peppy villager and a wolf villager SO it's a two in one deal. With Raymond thought I'll have to hope I find him in a island...just cause it hurts to get rid of Marshal.
Congrats!!! Yeah, it's not totally impossible to find Raymond in the campsite, but it is a way lower chance so it's up to you if you feel like going through with it lol
I used this method and started in 2021, and didn’t find sherb until 2025, going week by week 😓 it took five irl days, but thank you! Because I put so much effort in the outcome really is worth it! :)

Hii! I’m told when a villager moves out, you have to find a villager before the day resets because if not, the game will randomly get a villager to move in. In that case, if I time travel a year forward, would the game register as I have played the game for a year and randomise a villager to move in to my empty plot?

Yes. I didn't know this when I started and I built all 10 plots and time traveled a year and they all filled up right after. Was so disappointing :(
Yea empty plot will b filled by rando in a couple days of TT. Without empty plot, camper you ask to live there will boot a rando, but u can keep redoing it of u close out/don’t save as soon as they say the villager name. rinse n repeat til they say the one u want. Super time consuming shit. Good thing we hav nothing to do
Yeah don’t do that lol you’ll have to either find someone to ask to move in on nookazon from someone else’s island or use nmt to fill it before the day resets and you get a random
Good question. I would say that yes, this is true, but this method still works well as long as the new villager is someone who does not have the same personality as the villager you’re aiming for.

I am currently using this method, trying to get Judy. While I haven't gotten her yet, I'm certain I will and so far I ended up getting my favorite cranky villager in the campsite, Apollo, despite already having 2 cranky villagers (I kicked one of them out for him b/c I didn't like them all that much)!! I've gotten a ton of snooty villagers so far, so I'm sure Judy is right around the corner, and I can't wait to have her. Wish me luck!!

You can take my Raymond when he asks me to move out lol I don’t time travel so idk when that will be but I got him as my first camper organically but I’m going for an all dog island and currently only have one dog so I’m gonna be getting rid of a lot of my popular villagers I only took so I could trade them for nmt 😂

I have 4 lazy villagers in my island and I still got lazy villagers in my campsite, so dont worry. It can still happen without kicking all your people out, it may just take a little longer
you don’t need to! it’s only to max your chances but not necessary 💓
A few answers to everyone's questions: yes you can TT to 2021 and not worry about any villagers leaving. Yes sometimes you don't get campers you just have to keep trying until you do. Its time consuming and annoying but it does work. Some are just luckier than others. Also you occassionally will get duplicate personality types of those you have in your town.

However, I'm 99% sure that my game is broken because I got a villager with a personality I already have, although I'm missing 2 personality types on my island and this was the only villager during 2 months so... guess I'll never get my sweet villagers :(
Edit: It seems like I was just way too impatient, as always! Have been doing it for 3 hours now, which equals ~7 months in my game and after ~13 campers I finally got Raymond^^ so thank you for your video and all of the comments, they really motivated me to keep going!
