- June 1984 is a time that many Sikhs remember, but what actually happened? Bhai Mandeep Singh goes through the before, during and after of Operation Blue Star.
This powerful podcast highlights the eye-witness accounts of both Sikhs and Non-Sikhs. We speak about the psyche of Sikhs when it comes to weaponry, the courage and spirits that the Sikhs fought with, and the atrocities and human rights violations of the "authorities."

I am an atheist, but if ever I consider a religion, I have no doubt it will be Sikhism. I am glad people like Bhai Mandeep Singh are spreading correct, factual information on such a ghastly attack. As an Indian, I will forever be shamed at what conspired in 1984. I have learnt so much from this channel and hope to continue doing so.

Hi my dear Sikhs 😊💗, I'm a Hindu and my family runs a temple in Delhi and Inn 1984 during the Sikhs riots my dad told me that many Sikhs came to them to seek refuge and out all places we could have hid them we hid them in the alter behind the murti of Shri maha laxmi Narayan and my dad questioned my grandfather that there are other places the alter is only for brahmins and pujaris but my wise dadaji replied saying the Sikhs have made so much sacragice for our faith that they deserve to be honoured by going in the alter and sitting there this was the level of respect we have for Sikhs, and of course the congress mobs came and he saw congress party logos on the cars and they tried to attack the temple but failing to do so they then poured Kerosine around the complex engulfing it in flames they all survived by the fire not being able to penetrate the thick whiles but that night I believe just shows to our family so much about everything it was a revolutionary year
The worst part is no media ever wanted to here our story and all the other temples which helped Sikhs this is the divisive politics our nation
Thank you to your family for doing the right thing. Please avoid far right Hindutva that tries to divide communities.

The Panjab story brings back a lot of memories for me. For me it was the mystic of the foreign correspondent. When foreign reporting came from a very distant place. I met the BBC guys in the very early 2000’s. Mark Tully & Satish Jacob who reported on this. I spoke extensively on this subject to them. I started my career in journalism at that time. I can always remember Mark Tully saying to me that Major General Shabeg Singh was a military man in presence.

As a Muslim pathan who is born in Britain Birmingham I had many sikh friends and family friends especially living in handsworth soho rd and rookery rd growing up as pathans warrior code we protect anybody who is suffering also imran khan is doing what most pathans do
Is this not a debate that should be settled by Sikhs themselves?
That being said the country of India comprises of many many groups of people and I think that should be taken into consideration when it comes to participating in a Republic. To take absolute measures does not bode well for a democracy to function.
This is the issue Ji, 'Democracy' has not functioned and is continuing to fail today; as humans we are all one, and we should all strive to help each other make the world a better place 🙏
