I had a similar experience on a Southwest flight into Vegas. Lots of turbulence before landing....as soon as the nose wheel made contact...one of the pilots said "we made it."
On at least two occasions, once inbound from Ontario and once outbound to Ontario, the Captain said the flight would be turbulent and they canceled any in-flight drinks or snacks. The flight attendants stayed seated the entire flight, which was only about 50 minutes or so.
Came for the joke, came back for the scenery. I didn't see any part of the landing gear through the top of the wing so no complaints. Most of the comments are very funny. Thanks
Have you ever watched the Carol Burnett skit called, "No Frills Airlines"? This landing reminds me of what happened to ole' Tim Conway during his flight!! Good grief! In all honesty, they might want to do a visual inspection of that airplane to check for fatigue cracks! And I thought our landing was bad when I saw the smoke from the tires from the back seat!
What was the flight number on this and what day? I flew on SWA on that same approach and it was a bumpy landing. The pilot was fighting it all the way down. Wiiiindy
I recently flew down to Georgia from Alaska and back. Two plane changes. Every landing we had was like this one. I don't understand why these pilots are just letting it drop in like that. They all must be missing their mark and letting ground effects take them too far down the runway and have to stall it to the ground. This is crazy.
Spirit is the Worst airline! Thin seats and crowded, a cattle cart. And they charge extra for everything. I will Never fly that airline again, really awful!
I am no pilot, but I guess rotating the aircraft clockwise, along its axis, when landing, slams the right wheels onto the tarmac..... Can any pilots confirm? Maybe they left it too late to establish a stable (visual?) approach? However, Ryanair would probably have been proud of that landing 😂
Spirit has excellent pilots. It's the cabin crews that really suck and are unprofessional. On my recent flight the dumbass F/A talked for like 10 minutes about the credit card while people were trying to sleep, come on now it's a flight not a credit card convention
Coincidentally there were no service institutions or delays on my trip. I flew EWR to Salt lake city with a connection at Las Vegas. But they wanted to charge me $5.4 for water on the 1 hour flight from Las Vegas to SLC!
Since that was on Spirit Airlines, my guess is that the landing was no frills... "If you want a smooth landing, that would be a $15 up charge" 🤣
Haha! good one! 😆😆 Love the "up charge" and "no frills"
I could totally see Spirit Airlines charging passengers an extra surcharge based on whether the plane landed smoothly
True that!
Pilot used to be in the Navy.
Definitely dropped the arresting hook on that wire. He was flying the ball all the way in.
No, it was just terrible technique
Firm planting landing, "WAKE UP, WE'VE ARRIVED!"
Absolutely love the sign on the cannard “HOWDY” thats real cool.
It is not a canard it is a winglet.
Ryanair wants their pilots back.

I guess it is a Vegas landing thing then!
Woah! Even I felt that! Humor helps 😮
The descent into Las Vegas is frequently turbulent. Expect it.
Thank you for the insight!
Especially on those hot summer afternoons and evenings...

@@bobbyricigliano2799 - I flew LAS to DEN one time with the flight attendants seated the whole time. It happens from time to time...
"Oh you want smooth landings? United terminal is down that way. Tell them I sent ya." ✈
🤣
"That chiropractic adjustment came courtesy of our First officer, Be sure to thank them when you leave the aircraft!"
🤣

They walked away from it, what's the problem?
@@norfolkflyer no problem at all, the old saying is " if you can use the plane again it is a good landing
Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. Remember, too, that a landing is a controlled crash.
Nice lol! I'm planning to go to Vegas for my 21st birthday trip.

I haven't watched that, thanks for the recommendation. And these experiences are scary.
Loved the scenery. Hilarious announcement.

This was Spirit airlines flight 1716 from SLC to Las Vegas on April 3rd.
That was a great landing compared to my recent 8 flights on Lantam airline in Peru and Ecuador.
Oh wow!
I could just imagine a dead person popping its head up and saying "Im dead and will you stop making a noise".
😄
That's hilarious, thanks wishful wandering.

Glad you enjoyed it
where are u flying from
On my way from Salt Lake City.
That was a pretty solid thud! Wow!
747 SP @ 7:50!
The tortured land (scenery) is stunning.😮
The scenery sure is stunning!
Believe this. The chief pilot and the maintenance teams are not happy with unnecessary hard landings.
Extremely smooth by Ryanair standards.
😱
or WestJet. Like "We gotta get this plane on the ground NOW!"
Yet to experience that, never flown WestJet yet 😄

Did we just land or were we shot down???
:D
Wow, one time I flew spirit and it was almost as hard as this but this is by far the HARDEST landing I have ever seen on spirit
Yes same for me. This was the hardest landing so far!
Spirit is the Worst airline! Thin seats and crowded, a cattle cart. And they charge extra for everything. I will Never fly that airline again, really awful!
Agreed. I thought Spirit and Frontier were kind of same but I traveled frontier a week later and the seats were much wider and cushy!
They're both great for less than 2 hour flights. I pay extra for longer flights.

That wind could've messed up spirit airlines butter landing🔥🔥💀
The windsock was hanging limp. Try again.
Bellevideohenri😊😊😊😊
Cute.
Landed from the north

Pilot must have previously been a pilot with Ryanair…
The pilot did not have the right speed for a smooth landing - speed too slow and fast drop! Lousy landing...
bro how are you acting like you know what happened, couldve been wind or some other factor that isnt clear in the video. were you in the flight deck?
I was just recording the scenery. If you look at my other videos you will notice I record flight takeoffs and landings.
😂
Lol
god its bigger than l.a.
Wah
You people are way to hard on yourselfs

Not very entertaining or interesting
