- The ultra rare white Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG is finally finished up! I wish that I could've shot this video in a bit more scenic environment and that the weather would've been nicer but ran out of time unfortunately.

My 2003 UK model factory Stereo with Bose remembers all the settings I put in.
I can't imagine why an equaliser is required.

Hi Jules. I'm referring specifically to AUX or auxiliary mode, not standard radio or CD listening. US spec 03-04 headunits will remember stereo settings in radio/CD mode but not AUX mode.

Nice. My 2003 has panoramic top, distrionic, and keyless start. Pretty rare combo I'm told.
Nice work.....580-590 hp to the wheels is very impressive and I'm sure will put a smile on the new owner's face every time he/she drives it. M113K (SL55) is one of the best performance engines built and why I opted for it over the M275 (SL65). Thank you for leading the way to power, class and style in the SL55.

I finally found out when I play music through auxiliary it does not save the trouble and base settings thank you! I noticed your missing the flaps all SL's that old that's not uncommon! I have mine I don't dare fix some and put them on great car though

There is a bypass box for the audio system ..I used it on my c32 which has the same d2b system…I’ve got a modern pioneer system now with CarPlay etc and it works well and the speakers sound even better now ….the box is about 7 wires to connect very simple
This is interesting- do you have details on this? I have an 05, not sure what the core communication technology is.

Thank you for this video! I just bought an SL55 AMG 2003 with only 45k miles on it. It is in amazing shape! Looking forward to add some of your mods. BTW - any chance you can let me know how much the powder coating cost for the breaks and engine? That is a nice touch.

I love those rims. Did you modify the suspension or are they wheels and tires just bigger than stock. They look great and would love a similar look on my sl55.

Very beautiful SL, I replaced my stock head unit with one from Seicane, after watching Tavarish's build. It was more or less plug and play but took me a few hours to install... Thankfully I never had to replace any amps or speakers, I now have a USB in my car as well as a modern unit. Although, doing an ABC delete was the most extreme thing I've done to the car... spent just over $4k on the kit... and then 4 days to remove the ABC system from the car and install the kit. By far this was the best thing I've done to my SL. That fear of having a crazy ABC repair job is no more... sure I've devalued the car but I don't care as I have no intention of selling mine. I managed to sell the ABC system for $4.5k so I made some money back but hey. the ABC warning light came on until I managed to remove it... Now you'd never know.
Beautiful. Where do you get the blacked out headlights from? I wouldn't mind converting my set but I'd want new lenses, and can't seem to find those for purchase either.

SL65 the real monster no comparison to the SL55 no matter what you do to a SL55 it will NEVER match up to a 65 !!

Don’t know what you are talking about SL 65 V12 bi turbo 617 HP 756 torque to back wheels will destroy that SL 55 I own both !! My 55 is a RennTech and still can’t compare to the 65 no comparison different animal !
